DISmoms Round TWO! Don't Axe, Don't Tell!! 4/30-5/4/10 updates 9/17

Those African libations look especially good on this freakishly hot day today!

You must have a sign on you announcing to everyone that you're a good sport and good for a laugh! :rotfl2: You'll probably be the one to get soaked on Kali, too! :rotfl:

Is that it? I don't know- I did feel like I had a sign over my head, that's for sure! I have "performed" in WDW before- I was picked to be the slutty Queen in England in the comedy skit once, that was a loooooong time ago, though- I think it was on our first trip in the 80's!! And I went on Nickelodeon Live a couple of years back- when we stayed at the Nick hotel. Glad to be wearing the sign again, though!

UGGGG ive been so busy in life crap going on ive been a bad subscriber and missed so much.. so many drinks have been drunk without me.. well I guess tecnically they have already been drank without me (how rude LOL) but now virtually relived back in time they have been drunk without me .. again. (how rude LOL) off to catch up

Btw no i havent been drinking just dilerious from working out.. LMAO

OK just caught all up now... my notes

~HMH.. to bad was really hoping to get a flashback of his hotness LOL

~UMM does noone have that infamous video of our favorite Dis Moms Treo singing ???? I would pay good money for that.. Ok Ill buy yall a drink next time I see ya round the wrold LOL

~Im with the small few that dont like Zebra Domes, Ive tried them Frozen, melted, room temp, with alcohol, without, on a train and on a plane, I dont like Zebra Dome Sam I am LOL

~Love the tatts

~ i hate calling tech support. They always tell me I should visit India and tell me how pretty it is.. also that I have the most beautiful name around (now that I dont hate so much LOL)

ok im all caught up.. whats next ladies?

Sorry for all the rudeness!! I would MUCH prefer to drink WITH you than WITHOUT you, by the way! :goodvibes And FWIW....I don't know how many drinks you're buyin' but it will NEVER be enough for a glimpse of that film....we're payin' Kara the BIG bucks to keep it quiet...:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I do have friends who go to India- both went on business (my BFF actually goes a LOT, she's a SR VP for a large pharmaceutical company, and my other friend is a sommelier who was sent there to promote a wine business as some nice hotels there) and both had the same thing to say- it is the MOST diverse place they have ever been- a land of EXTREME extremes- the richest of the richest riches, next to the poorest poverty....I know those techs who are talking to us trying to help us fix our computer woes are up in the middle of the night doing it. SOunds pretty rough to me. :sad2:

im dying to know about the walls in MK.. you made it there right??? Hopefully they aren't too obtrusive.

We didn't spend a lot of time in Fantasyland, just kind of passed through on our way to some rides....actually, we spent some time there on this night- I don't think they were too horrible, but we were busy chatting while we were walking by them, and we are VERY easily distracted!
That bird looks ike a stuffed animal to me.

Looks like Ellen was having a good time!! :dance3:

NOT a stuffed animal- a big, bad, poop stuffed REAL bird!! And I was having a grate day!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That is just too funny!!!! Probably true, too! Ellen, you can go to Maintenance and reset your computer to the same status as an earlier time. Sometimes that works. I had a Dell. It saves time so you don't have to talk to Mujibar as much. (As we used to call him at work :))

I did that on a call last week- and again with India- it didn't work this time. :sad1:
Okay, NOW I'm all caught up! I've been doing family stuff for the past 10 days - My DSISes and families were here, and my DS from Texas with his family - lots of good times. Anyway, just had to say you DIS moms have way more fun than anyone everywhere you go! :thumbsup2

Yikes! I saw EE stuck when were were there - right where the track sits in emptiness - (the shot Kara posted) - How do you get down from There?:scared1:

And lastly, Ellen Rocks!!!

SO nice you had such a fun visit with your family!! :goodvibes Did the babies come? Are they still babies?

And THANKS!!!

I just found your trip report and have only made it through about half, but I am really enjoying your adventures. We haven't been to the world since Christmas and the next trip is not until March 2011, so I am getting my Disney fix by living vicariously through your report. Please keep it coming.

Hi Disneybuckeye!! :cheer2: Did you read the Bucky story yet?? :rotfl2: I'm glad you're enjoying the TR- we write it for exactly the reason you mentioned- to live vicariously through it until we can all go again. Thanks!!

Oh Ellen you really had the MOVES!!!!!!!!! What MOJO all those starring roles !!!:worship:Does it cost to speak to you now ???:lmao:

I'm sorry...do I know you???? :cool1: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Good one, Rosie!

Way to go, Ellen!! You're right....Your dancing looked waaay better than everyone else's. :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see what is coming next. popcorn::

More fun, fun, fun!!!!

Go Ellen, Go Ellen..... :dance3::dance3::dance3:

:rotfl: Thanks!

Ellen looks so sad in this one, kind of like, "They turned off my music" :sad1: I'll bet they wouldn't have done that to J.Lo or Beyonce... and Ellen's way more famous so they must not have known who they were dealing with;)

So true!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I do look sad in that photo! :confused3 Maybe it was heat exhaustion!! Or maybe it was OVER!!! :sad1: Anyway, thanks for taking the pics, Joan! Cammie took a ton, too- I remember looking at where you all were watching, and she was watching and laughing at me the longest...She must be my BIGGEST fan! :woohoo: :rotfl2:

Love the dance! Looks like the young man two peoples from you (blue shirt and tan shorts) is also "in the groove".

Looks like a lot of fun.

The boys in the blue shirts next to me were from a Jesuit camp- oroginally I was between them, but then ended up next to them. They were into it, too! :goodvibes

Ah, Ellen, you are awesome. You are the friendliest person I have ever met (even though our meetings thus far have been just “inter-space”). Who else would have taken the time to find out where her tribal dancing partners were from. :thumbsup2

As soon as the excitement from the dancing was over, I decided to text Timmy. I think I said something like, "I just was picked twice in one day! Went on the stage and then did an African dance!!! WOOHOO!!!" His reply- based on the fact that I said I would bring home whatever special candy they wanted from WDW for them- was, "Why did you go without us? I have always wanted to do that. You owe me $20 in candy!" :rotfl2: That kid cracks me up!!

Anyway, we were all sweaty and smelly at this point, and fortunately for us it was time to ride Kali RR. We were all going on- except for Pam. Who does not like to get wet. Ever. Sooooo....she was happy to hold ALL of our bags for us while we all prayed we would get soaked! What can I say???? Some of us did....and some of us did....

KRR was the whole reason I brought my water camera that day. It was GREAT to be able to take pics during the ride!!

We all got wet, but there was one of us who got that the wall o' water- and that was Cammie-

That was VERY refreshing....but I still say that ride is TOO SHORT!!! If only it had one more big, soaking drop! We found our girl Pam, who we had left holding the bags-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0179.jpg

:rotfl: She is such a sweetie! :cutie:

I need to upload the rest of my pics from the day- up next- the PERFECT time for a snack and there's a new AWESOME cocktail in town, M'am!

I like you. Your screen name says it all! :thumbsup2

Sooooo....she was happy to hold ALL of our bags for us while we all prayed we would get soaked!
I recall Cammie telling Pam to "be careful....all my money is in that bag!" and thinking that would be the perfect ruse.....Go on the DISmoms trip, send your new friends on KRR, offer to hold their bags and steal all their money!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, she is....and that God for that or we'd still be wandering around AK looking for our money!:rotfl2:
Seriously, what a doll that Pam is....hot as H#$% and she stood there holding 6 plus heavy bags while we cooled off! There's a special place in heaven for that girl!!!!:worship:

There's a lot of white being worn on the ride. :rotfl: Hope no issues there. :thumbsup2 Gotta love a water ride on a hot day! I'm always amazed at the people who put on their poncho when it's 100+ degress.

Poor Cammie, but it probably felt good to get wet on that hot day! Did you all walk around the park wet, or head back to the room?

I love Kali River Ride but in Feb it was toooooooo cold !!I think this October might be warm enuff and I can enjoy us all getting wet !!:thumbsup2!Is there a better place to sit to get the wettest cuz I will tell Carol to sit there without telling her why !!:lmao: I'll make sure she has done my annual evaluation before though!!!:rotfl2:

I think I may be having a real meet with somebody in DC;)next month !! Who could it be ????:confused3:lmao:

Hey Ellen! (And DISmom crew...)

I'm all caught up! Glad to see you actually made it to the parks! AK is really awesome. It's such a shame how overlooked that park is. I can't stand when people say it's a half-day park. There is so much to see and do (and drink), just roaming around and soaking it all in....

I agree with you, Kali is waaay to short! We didn't even do it this last time because, believe it or not, it wasn't hot enough!

Can't wait to see what you guys are up to next!! :thumbsup2

Oh excellent dancing, btw!

Well...ummm....I am really nice and friendly and all, but, ummm....the reason I knew they were from Jesuit Camp is because of their matching Jesuit Camp tshirts. I'm not just really nice, I also have the investigative skills of a CSI agent! :rotfl2:

I like you. Your screen name says it all! :thumbsup2

You are sooooo easy....

We all left our polka dot panties home that day...:rolleyes1

I don't recall she was complaining....I think we were all happy to get wet! And you'll have to wait and see what we did next....:surfweb: :goodvibes

I just finished your tr today- it does look like it was chilly when you were there! And i dunno....who could it be??:confused3:confused3

I agree- great atmosphere in that park- I really think it's gorgeous at night, too.... can't wait to start reading your TR & hurry up with that paper!!

We recovered our bags, cash intact, from Pam...and I realized I was getting kinda hungry. Our ADR at Narcoosees was a loooooong way off....so...what about a little pit stop at Yak & Yeti? We stopped at the bar, thinking we would just get a cocktail....but then, everyone was like, "I could eat a little something"....so, we grabbed a table- which, by the way, there were PLENTY of this time of day (so if you want to try some Y&Y and didn't score an ADR, try stopping by late afternoon! :thumbsup2). We all decided we would each have an appetizer and...we would all be trying Y&Y's brand new yummy cocktails- the frozen martinis!! :dance3: We perused the menu-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0180.jpg

And placed our orders. I love the atmosphere in here- it's ultra cool!

2010_0504dismoms2010water0181.jpg

First, the groovy cool drinks came out. Everyone got a glass like this-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0182.jpg

And everyone got a shaker to filled with the fruity martini of their choice to pour over their snowball. While all the little people poured their own cocktails-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0183.jpg

I, OF COURSE, had mine poured for me by our lovely server- you know, due to my super STAR status and all...

2010_0504dismoms2010water0184.jpg

Ahhh...yummy grapey lusciousness...

2010_0504dismoms2010water0185.jpg

And I believe this was green apple?

2010_0504dismoms2010water0186.jpg

But those of us who got grape thought ours was best. And those of us who had the green apple thought ours was best. So try the GRAPE when you go!!

2010_0504dismoms2010water0187.jpg

Then our appys arrived. I got seared pork potstickers-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0188.jpg

Joan had steamed ones (maybe Kara did, too?)

2010_0504dismoms2010water0189.jpg

Lonnie got the lettuce cups-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0190.jpg

She REALLY loved them! Cammie & Pam shared the wok-fried green beans-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0191.jpg

It was all delicious, it REALLY hit the spot!! I highly recommend a stop at Y&Y to refuel before a late dinner ADR. Here's Lonnie lovin' her lettuce-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0192.jpg

CHEERS!

2010_0504dismoms2010water0193.jpg

2010_0504dismoms2010water0194.jpg

2010_0504dismoms2010water0195.jpg

Should be called Yummy & Yeti. Well, that's what I'm calling it from now on! Anyway....we finished up and realized it was probably time to head out of the park. Of course, we stopped for a little shopping on the way out...and a little losing each other in the dueling shops on our way. And what's up with THESE little guys? Sooo stinkin' cute!!

2010_0504dismoms2010water0196.jpg

2010_0504dismoms2010water0198.jpg

With the magic of Disney & text messaging, we discovered we were all in the same place! Will wonders never cease?! After paying, we realized it was REALLy time to go. Goodbye, lil fella-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0199.jpg

We got into Lonnie's Magical Mystery van for the sad ride back...ya see, once she dropped us off at BCV, she was going to have to go home....:sad1:

Great update on Y&Y !!! Your potstickers look the best:snooty:Followed closely by the green beans !!!!!!!Check out my siggie !!!:rolleyes1

But those of us who got grape thought ours was best. And those of us who had the green apple thought ours was best. So try the GRAPE when you go!!
Or the Green Apple/Citrus Freeze, like the rest of us 'little people" did!!!:rotfl2:
Whichever one you choose....a stop at Yummy & Yeti for a frozen martini is a MUST on a hot day!

With the magic of Disney & text messaging, we discovered we were all in the same place! Will wonders never cease?!
We are amazing, aren't we?!?!? Kind of scary, actually!!! Thank goodness for that Disney magic!!!!

Saying goodbye to Lonnie was awful.....I hope she can stay the whole time next year!!!!

On a happier note.......After spending the past couple weeks "discussing" a fall trip to WDW with my DH....He finally agreed that we are running out of time to have these trips with our kids and we are going, but Moderate this time. I just finished booking CSR for 10/28 - 11/6 with FREE DINING:cheer2:.....So excited! DH is thrilled that I managed to save us nearly $1200 on our trip instead of just spending money like usual! And if we happen to get this code that I keep reading is being released on Tuesday, it could work out even better for us. Fingers crossed for more Disney Magic!pixiedust: I've heard such great things about CSR and can't wait to stay there!! :dance3:

Love this trippie, so much fun. Frozen martini's it is when my sis and i go to Yummy and Yeti.:cool1:

what code??????................:confused3

Oh my, those martinis look soooo good! They probably were very refreshing, too! What a bummer that Lonnie had to leave. :sad1:

Wow Ellen - you truly are a Rock Star!:worship: (As if there was any doubt!;))

Those moves would put me to shame, that is for sure! You go girl!!!

Those pot stickers and frozen martinis sure look good! I will definitely keep Yak & Yeti in mind for a little afternoon snack as you suggest!;)
