So Many Characters..So Little Time! Our April Adventure to the World! Complete:)

I am SO happy he decided to ride and wasn't scared of it. My trip report tells a different story :lmao: my son wanted to ride, hated it, then experienced it for real, in real life in an elevator with his dad so TOT is completely out of the question for a long time.. lol
We are going to see Fantasmic next time, so glad ya'll had fun at DHS!!
love the update so sad its coming to an end, but as all good things do sadly enough

What a fun update! I love F! but we haven't been able to figure out a way to work the giant chunk of waiting time into our agenda. I can only hope that they add a 2nd show, we really really want to see it but bleh on the crowds and the wait!

YAY for TOT.

Great update! I've only seen Fantasmic at Disneyland. It was great there, but I've never gone through the bother to see it in Florida. I'm glad you liked it so much. :cheer2: :cheer2::cheer2: for Noah and TOT! What a brave kid! I'm glad he loved it. That is such a fun ride, but it is definitely spooky! I love it when kids conqer fears like that! Great ending to a great day.

Thanks!:goodvibes We really liked Fantasmic! The wait actually didn't even seem that bad.:confused3 I guess being able to sit down helped! I was so proud of Noah!! He was very brave this trip!:thumbsup2

Hi and Welcome!!:goodvibes I was so happy Noah decided to ride...now if we can just convince his older brother next trip!:thumbsup2

Oh no! I can definitely understand why TOT would be completely out of the question now...how scary!!

I'm so sad that I'm almost on my last day...it's went by way too quick.:sad2:

Okay...now I'm off to check out your TR!:)

Thanks!!:goodvibes You really do have to figure in a big chunk of time to see Fantasmic unless of course you get the dinner package. Which we may consider for next time.:confused3 The waiting wasn't really that bad...but I'm sure in the August heat it would be much worse.:scared:

Yay! He conquered ToT! :woohoo:

Fantastic update. :thumbsup2

Aww...I know! I was so happy he conquered his fears and rode ToT! It was even better that he enjoyed himself so much!!:thumbsup2

Angie, I'm so very glad that you guys were able to see Fantasmic! Isn't it great!

Congrats to Noah for riding Tower of Terror. He is a much braver person than I am. It took me 14 trips to Disney before I ever rode it.

Isn't it fun doing the wave while you're waiting for the show? You have some really great shots!

Yeehaw for you two doing the ToT -- kudos to Noah! :goofy:

Another great update!

Looks like the DS kept DH busy too!

Yay for Noah riding ToT!! I'm so glad you got to see Fantasmic! I can't believe how early the theater fills up!

Hooray, glad you liked Fantasmic! You happened to get my 2 favorite parts on video too, so thanks for that. ;) I love the music of those parts especially the princess one.

YEAH for Tower of Terror! Now that I've done it so many times it really isn't all that scary but I definitely know that first ride is kind of intimidating!

Looks like I'm subbing just in time for the last day. I've read your whole TR today, lol. It has been GREAT!!! What fun adventurers you all were on this trip. ToT freaked me out 6 years ago. I don't think I'll do it again. Glad your little man enjoyed it so much though.

You all picked some great rides to do. I can't believe you got to ride BTMRR so many times. That is so cool.

Love the pirate set souvenir, that will be a must buy for my little guy on our trip.

Glad the rain held off for Fantasmic.

Can't wait to see what happens at AK.

Hi Lisa!:goodvibes Aww...we loved Fantasmic!! So happy we got a chance to see it! Noah was so pleased with himself that he rode Tower of Tower. He couldn't wait to tell his Grammie and Papa when we got home how brave he was.:thumbsup2

Hi Tracy!:goodvibes  The wave was so much fun! Plus it helped pass the time which is always good!:thumbsup2

I'm so happy Noah loved Tower of Terror....but I wasn't so sure after seeing his face while we were on it....poor kid.

Hi Amy! ::yes::Yes, once DH saw the Noah wasn't interested in his DS anymore he decided to play awhile.:rolleyes1:laughing:

We couldn't believe how fast the theater filled up either. We had just barely sat down when I pulled out my camera to take that picture. The one thing we did like about the early show was that at least we were able to sit down. When we were leaving after riding TOT, people were lined up all the way down Sunset Blvd. waiting to get into the late show.

:lmao: I noticed that too!

 Too funny! You know I didn't even notice I got a picture of him playing it until Amy posted the picture again. That DH....:rolleyes1

Hi Sarah!!:goodvibes Yay! You watched the videos! I loved those parts too especially the music! It's so funny...I think I was just as scared as Noah to go on Tower of Terror. You really go up sooooo high! But I will admit..it was pretty cool to look out over the whole park all lit up.:thumbsup2

:welcome: Thanks for joining in!:goodvibes Aww...it was such a great trip!:thumbsup2 I've had so much fun looking back... but I can't believe I'm on our last day already.:sad2:

I'm so happy that Noah liked ToT! I wasn't sure though...he looked pretty freaked out while riding. I really wish we had stopped to get a look at our picture, but he was so excited to go find his big brother and tell him all about it.;)

I think the pirate set is Noah's favorite souvenir from the trip. He loves it and more than once he's had me hide the treasure so he can find it.:rotfl:

Hopefully, I can get an AK update posted very soon!:)

April 16, 2010~~ Our Animal Kingdom Day

When I left off, we had just had a magical night at Hollywood Studios. We battled it out on Toy Story Mania not once but twice, saw some characters, fell in love with a Tale as old as time, watched good prevail over evil and dropped 13 stories. Whew! What a night! But as we know all good things must come to end and today was that day….our last day at Disney.:sad1:

I rolled over and looked at the clock but today instead of wanting to jump out of bed like I did earlier in the week, I wanted to pull the covers over my head and refuse to leave. Aww…if only it was possible. Even though we didn’t have to be on the Magical Express bus until 4:00pm, just knowing that today was our last day was making me depressed. But….I knew what I had to do and threw the covers off, took a quick shower and started attacking the suitcases. Thankfully, I had worked on them the night before so all I had to do was gather up the souvenirs and try to make them fit in the extra bag we had brought. I quickly realized after putting in the photo album and Noah’s pirate stuff that there wasn’t room for anything else. I tried rearranging the other suitcases but there was no use. DH who had just woken up, volunteered to run down to the gift shop to see what he could find. I tried a few more times to make things work but eventually gave up and decided to turn on Stacy again. I needed that little bit of Disney one last time. Soon DH came back with a duffel bag that worked out perfectly! The best part was that it was only around ten dollars if you had spent over a certain amount in the gift shop and yes we had spent over the certain amount and then some.:rolleyes1 It was about this time the boys were starting to rise and I reminded them that we had our character breakfast this morning and that they needed to get up and get ready.

Soon enough, the boys were out the door, DH was out the door but I couldn’t leave yet. The trip seemed like it went by in a flash and I wanted to get a few more pictures of our empty room. I really wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet…

I finally closed the door for the last time. The one thing that I really wished we could have found time to do was to walk around the resort again. But…honestly I didn’t plan it in because it was our fourth time staying at Pop Century. I guess I didn’t think it would be necessary. So I started snapping away on our walk to check in our luggage.

Looking back one more time…

A trip down the elevator…Poor Nick was not happy about leaving as you can see. At least Noah tried to make the best of it.

After dropping off our bags, we made our way over to the bus stop to wait for an Animal Kingdom bus.
100_3163.jpg

We decided to stop so I could get a picture of the boys in the 1950's sign. I did the same thing last year when we stayed in the 80's section. It was a great way to remember the trip and the section we stayed in....

Animal Kingdom....(our last day-continued from previous post)

We finally made it over to the bus stop, waited a few minutes and soon an Animal Kingdom bus pulled up and before we knew it...we arrived at our destination!

100e3360.jpg

Noah was very excited to be there.....can you tell?
100_3167-1.jpg

We made our way toward the entrance to wait for the opening show. This was our first time at Animal Kingdom at opening so we were excited to see what it was all about. We did stop at Will Call to pick up our GAD fastpasses. It was funny because the CM actually encouraged us not to use them as fastpasses because apparently there was very little wait the day before. But after realizing it was our last day and we told her we had to leave early she began to understand the importance of us wanting to have the fastpasses.

100_3169.jpg

Unfortunately, we ended up being off to the left so I wasn't able to get the best pictures of the opening show but I tried.....

100e3359.jpg

100_3174.jpg

It was a cute show! It wasn't a Magic Kingdom opening show but it was still a great way to start our day at Animal Kingdom. So, off we went in search of the Tree of Life.

There it is!! There it is!!!
100_3175.jpg

And again...a little closer....
100_3177.jpg

I love this shot...
100_3178.jpg

Of course, I had to get one with the boys in front of it....
100_3179.jpg

Yes...I know I probably went a little crazy taking so many pictures of the tree. This is only half of them.:rolleyes1 But, last year when I ran ahead to get fastpasses, I gave the camera to DH and ended up with one picture...that's it and for some reason I never took anymore the whole day. I was definitely going to make up for it this trip!!

So, we had finally arrived at Animal Kingdom. There was so many things on our must-do list....ride EE, see some characters, and shows but most importantly a special character breakfast to go to. Since we didn't have to run to get fastpasses. We thought we would instead take a leisurely walk through the oasis.....

Up Next-- Walk with us......

One of those bittersweet updates. I know the feeling on the last day of a Disney vacation. Of course you are so grateful for such a wonderful trip, but there is that sadness that it's over. And always that yearning to go back! Looks like it's going to be a great AK day!

How fun. I think a lot of people could take or leave AK, but I know it will be a must for our family. my boys LOVE animals. I'll be anxious to see how much you fit into your day with boarding ME at 4 pm. I think we'll try and do something similar.

Love all the pictures of the Tree ;) You really did get some great shots :thumbsup2

I love the pictures of the boys in the 0 of 1950's sign. So cute.

Can't wait to read more.

Angie, you made me sad with that one last look back at your room. I hate hate hate the last day at Disney. You want so badly to be happy and enjoy your day but knowing that it's the last day is always in the back of your mind.

It looks like your day at Animal Kingdom is off to a good start.
