DISmoms Round TWO! Don't Axe, Don't Tell!! 4/30-5/4/10 updates 9/17

I have to say this is the best trip report I have ever read on here. You guys had such a fun time .... Thank you for the laughs :thumbsup2

Next time you have to speak to someone pick the Spanish option. They are all bilingual and not in India. :thumbsup2 Used to do the same thing when I lived in Canada but of course picking French.

OMG Ellen - That's is so frustating. Too bad my nephew LJ doesn't live closer to you. I swear that kid would hook you up much faster than the people in India. You may not understand his tech talk, but he knows how to do that kind of stuff and he is only 10!

OMG Joan - :rotfl2:- that pictures is HI - STERICAL and I know Ellen will appreciate it more when she gets her computer fully functioning.

As Far as the Mac goes - I love mine. I bought a used one from a friend who owns a computer store. It is fabulous and Apple's customer service is fabulous. I am sold. I definitely will be sticking with Macs in the future and will spend the extra $ to purchase their apple care.

Well, the MAC that was the equivalent of this DELL was over $1000 more, so it looks like we're staying with Dell. The issues were all coming from the download of Trend Security, while I already have McAfee. I'm just going to hopr for the best....

oh how I wish we lived closer... guess who works for Dell? Tim..sorry the india service was bad. :confused3 They ship stuff with all sorts of things screwed up. Hopefully they won't give you too much trouble. If all else fails write a strongly worded letter.. those are still handled in the US. Sad I know.

GOOD LUCK!

Does he have a direct line I can call??? I am very pleasant when I'm aggravated with the computer- I'm sure he'd be THRILLED to speak to me!! :rotfl2:

Now THIS is great advice!!! I will definitely be saying HOLA to Dell from now on!! :rotfl: I did used to get VERY helpful, VERY nice techs in Texas- hopefully I can get one of them again.

Well thanks so much!!!:goodvibes We'll all do our best to continue with the laughter now......

Soooo.....back at Animal Kingdom,

2010_0504dismoms2010water0147.jpg

We made our way over to the Dawa Bar to rid ourselves of the shakes, where Cammie & Lonnie had made themselves quite comfy at a table and were already shake-less after getting FP's for KRR later that day and their first frosty beverage of the day. They were upfront for some hot, sweaty African entertainment-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0149.jpg

We were already hot & sweaty enough, so we went for some African libations instead-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0152.jpg

Aaaahhhh....yummy, cold refreshment!! The hot, sweaty African entertainment now included some hot, sweaty tourists-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0154.jpg

They must be CRAZY!!! I was thinking, it is waaaaay too hot to get in-touch with your inner-tribalness today!! With that, Kara, Pam & I decided to go see Flights of Wonder- while the other ladies stayed at the bar....:rolleyes1 We brought our drinks with us and walked right into the show that was just about to start!! SCORE!! DISmom MOJO workin' for us AGAIN!! Only thing was, we were seated in the last row. But, on the bright side, that meant we would get back to the Dawa bar faster when the show was over, so, all in all, the last row was just right for us! :thumbsup2

2010_0504dismoms2010water0156.jpg

I LOVE this show! I love the birds, I think the tour guide is HILARIOUS, I am UBER impressed by the bald eagle, and I think it is often (unfortunately) overlooked by many people in the park. So we got to the part in the show where they're looking for a couple of volunteers with cameras....and I raised my hand alllllllllll the way in the back row where I thought no one would EVER see me.....and I was the first one picked!!!! DISmom mojo AGAIN!! So right up on the stage I went, and even though I had seen this show once before, I didn't remember what was coming.....

We were told that a bird was going to fly to us, and to focus our cameras right over here....

2010_0504dismoms2010water0157.jpg

Well, THAT didn't go so well, and the bird flies pretty much right into us from the OTHER direction....and then lands in perfect pooping position right above our heads. ( I know it was perfect pooping position because this was pointed out to us and everyone laughing at us by everyone's favorite tour-guide). :scared1: That naugty, naughty bird-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0158.jpg

We walked off stage and were each handed a certificate saying we were part of a Disney show. :hyper: Ok, not a super big deal, but funny and memorable nonetheless...

Anyway, we returned to our seats and enjoyed the rest of the show...and the NEXT time a bird flew over my head, I DID take a a picture-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0160.jpg

Well, with my new-found celebrity status, we walked back to Dawa, and guess who we saw on the way???

WOW!!! DISmom mojo ROCKS!!! We were just in time to catch the end of her appearance- I was so excited, I hadn't seen her for years-

BAck at the Dawa Bar, we got another frosty cold Captain Morgan's concoction, and I had barely sat down when everyone's favorite hot, sweaty African exhibitionist came over to me to get me to dance! WHAT??? NOW??? Didn't I just FINISH acting like an idiot for everyone else's amusement?? Well, apparently THIS idiot's work was NOT yet done, and it was time to get in-touch with my inner-African. For the record, in my defense, I would just like to say that I give everything 100%, and when he said "follow me" I did my best to do just that. I was movin' and shakin' with the best of 'em. Every jump, hop, shake, twitch and roll I did my best on- unlike most everyone else up there who just kind of giggled and tapped their foot. It was HOT, it was SWEATY, it was more than just a little bit SMELLY....and it was a BLAST!!! I don't know what bit of DISmom mojo decided I should be a star that day....but I LIKED it a LOT!! A photo of me with the man in all our stinkaroo sweaty smelly glory-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0168.jpg

It was awesome, I wish I could get picked every time! I HIGHLY recommend taking him up on his offer if he ever asks YOU! When we got back to the table, Lonnie told me that he had come looking for me right after we left for FOW.... LOVE that DISmom mojo!!

Next up...time to cool off on Kali!!

Oh Ellen the STAR!! Is it Dismom mojo or just kara's upgrade mojo still working.

that show is awesome! beth got to be a part of the rope drop in Africa. She was terrified of the headdress. I think it is neat.

Bald eagles do get over looked. As I am writing one is circling over head while the kids are in the pool. I'm thinking he is looking at my maltese as a tasty snack. I like the birds more when they are in captivity.

Nope- it is not Kara's upgrade mojo. Unfortunately that Mojo hasn't worked on any DISmom trips so far. It's a collective DISmoms mojo. It BE!:thumbsup2

How cool you see bald eagles!! Although I completely undestand why you would prefer them in captivity. :dogdance::scared: We have hawks flying overhead here and a golden retriever, so I'm not alll that frightened!

Those African libations look especially good on this freakishly hot day today!

You must have a sign on you announcing to everyone that you're a good sport and good for a laugh! :rotfl2: You'll probably be the one to get soaked on Kali, too! :rotfl:

:cheer2:Yay, it's the moment I've been waiting for........Ellen movin' and shakin' and rockin' out her inner African tribalness..........

If you want to do an update, come on over and use ours tomorrow!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That is just too funny!!!! Probably true, too! Ellen, you can go to Maintenance and reset your computer to the same status as an earlier time. Sometimes that works. I had a Dell. It saves time so you don't have to talk to Mujibar as much. (As we used to call him at work :))

Okay, NOW I'm all caught up! I've been doing family stuff for the past 10 days - My DSISes and families were here, and my DS from Texas with his family - lots of good times. Anyway, just had to say you DIS moms have way more fun than anyone everywhere you go! :thumbsup2

Yikes! I saw EE stuck when were were there - right where the track sits in emptiness - (the shot Kara posted) - How do you get down from There?:scared1:

And lastly, Ellen Rocks!!!

I just found your trip report and have only made it through about half, but I am really enjoying your adventures. We haven't been to the world since Christmas and the next trip is not until March 2011, so I am getting my Disney fix by living vicariously through your report. Please keep it coming.
