Fresh Out of University and Onwards to Disney!!!An August PTR!!!(Last Update 8/26)

Hey how often do you get to go to Disney?? Come on and indulge yourself! There's no shame in that! There really isn't! I would do it. I mean I made my DH talk to all the princesses with me. So I think a little pirate fun never hurt anyone! :dance3:

I know it'll be fun! :cheer2:

Thank you Yuki! I can't believe I'm nearing 30 though. I'm turning 27 but it's just shocking how fast your life flies past. I hope as I age however people still think I'm super young. Ha! Thank you so much!

I think going to Disney is a good reason for a treat... haha.

Hm.....You both make very valid points........Well, I've still got some time before I make the decision....I should talk it over with Andrew first, so he can at least prepare for it, haha

DO IT because life is short and one day it'll be your last one. And you'll sit there thinking, "Why the FRACK did I not do Pirates League at WDW??????????" Trust me on this one. Plus it looks SO cool.

Chapter 27. The pirates league!

Holy smokes! The Pirates League is now offering their First Mate and Empress package for only $29.99!!!!!

I've wanted to do this since it was first announced! And now...with this awesome price......I really want to treat myself to this, you know?

Andrew might be a little hesitant about me doing this though....But he's already pretty used to me getting stares from people when I wear my costumes.

I need a reason to do this though. It's a pretty big treat for me.

I can't really think of one though. I'm not graduating, it's not my birthday, my school marks haven't been stellar, I haven't really accomplished anything noteworthy, and my fitness goals haven't been reached yet.

What do y'all think? It seems selfish to do this out of pure indulgence. I mean, I'm already treating myself to TWO TS meals!

Oh yes, and to my Canadian homies, HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!! I got a car flag for my car, Harvey. He's so patriotic, I know.

Happy Cananda day! I have Canadian friends so I knew about it hehe. The pirate experience sounds cool! I have not heard about this before, so I will have to do a bit of reading, but I think it's definitely something you should do. 29.99 is a great price compared to some of the other tours/experiences at WDW!

You're right..... and it just looks so fun! I want to be a pirate!

I booked myself an appointment with the Pirates League for my MK day!

I booked it for 10am, so I hope I'll have gone on Splash Mountain by then. Don't want to go through all that trouble to have it washed off my face!

Hopefully, I'll be able to catch the Pirate tutorial around that time, after or before my PotC ride?

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! :hyper: I was so excited when they first opened it. I'm already a ninja, so it'll be awesome to be a pirate too!

Can I be a....PIRATE NINJA????

Does that mean I'll be fighting myself??? Hmmmmm :confused3

Oooh, I wonder which face make-up I should go for. I chose the First Mate package cause it doesn't look like they do much for the Empress. Just some glitter and nail polish.

I think im officially in love with that picture!!! :lmao:

Good for you for deciding to do Pirate League!!! It looks like a lot of fun and theres nothing wrong or selfish about a little indulgance every once in a while!!! Plus, who knows how long this deal will last?

Which day are you doing it? We decided to drop our day at Seaworld and we think MK is one of the parks we'll go to on the 18th.

And (although I'm not canadian) Happy Canada day!!! I remember being in EPCOT last year on Canada day:sad1: :rotfl2:At least in only 42 days we'll be back!!!!!

Chapter 28. Need help with sweat!

Ok, I know I asked before, but now I need more help.

I know some of you own the travel mate. Today on my walk to school (in the heat that Southern Ontario is now engulfed in), the shoulder pad and the skin under it was all wet! What should I do about that?

Also, do you guys know what types of bras would be good for the heat? Not specific brands cause I don't think I can afford those. But what kinds of materials would make breathable bras. What should I be looking for? I usually buy cotton cause they're the cheapest, but they're not good for the heat at all. I've been to the tips board, but all they talk about are brands of bras that I can't afford. Or can't get to cause they're not sold in Canada.

I still haven't tried out Secret Clinical strength. I really hope it works!

Ahh, I really do like the heat right now though. I just think of it as practice for WDW! And I'll always prefer hot over cold. Summer is finally here!

That picture is just so adorable!

Yeah, I'm really excited about Pirates League. And you're right about the deal. Don't know if it'll ever come around again.

I've scheduled it for the 20th, my MK day. I'll be in Epcot on the 18th for Andrew's birthday! I'm going to get all the CMs from the countries to sign happy birthday on the passport I'm making.

I still haven't told him about Pirates League.....I feel I should have something for him while he waits for me....I'm not sure how long it'll take.

Chapter 29. My ten firsts!

Ok, before I begin, I feel like I want to start by saying, everytime I see 1st or first, I think "firth" in my head.

Why's that? Well, I work on campus in a small library and we get a lot of esl students. One shift a few months ago, an esl student printed out some essay writing notes that talk about the 3 paragraphs. Well....he listed them as 1th paragraph, 2th paragraph, and 3th paragraph.

Of course, I kindly let them know, but I was :rotfl2: on the inside. So now....I say firth!

Ok, back on track! Even though this trip is mine and Andrew's 2nd trip to the world, it's going to be a WHOLE LOT of firths. Su-Lynn gave me this idea

Reason being, I knew NOTHING about WDW so missed a LOT actually, and Andrew went when he was 7 and was too little for some rides. Yeah, those are pretty much the reasons. I got this idea from Su's (ChunkyMonkey).

Hey, side note. I always though Su and her DH's usernames were cute, ChunkyMonkey and ChubbyHubby. But I just recently found out they're ICE CREAM flavours! Ben and Jerry's right? Ok, back to the point. I sure deviate a lot don't I?

So instead of having a TOP TEN. I'm just going to list 10 of my firths for this upcoming trip.

1. Staying onsite!!!!!!! S'gonna be awesome possum at the POP. I hope I have time to hit the pool more than once

2. Using ME. Of course, a perk of staying onsite! I'm so glad I don't have to find my own way to WDW and that I don't have to wait around for my luggage.

3. Seeing MK rope drop. Last time, the shuttle from our hotel arrives after rope drop. I didn't even KNOW of such a thing. The only park the shuttle was ever early enough for was AK. I loved that rope drop. I heard it's different now?

4. All the multitudes of quick service places I'll be eating at! Like Columbia Harbour House, Casey's Corner, Sunshine Seasons, Starring Rolls, etc. I remember on our last trip, we ate a lot of dinners at our hotel

5. Mickey ice cream bar. I can't believe I didn't get one. I don't know what I was thinking. We got an Itzakadoozie. But no Mickey ice cream bar

6. Dole Whip. Truth be told, I didn't know these existed until the DIS. Now I can't wait to try a Root Beer float! Or maybe an orange slushie? I'm not a big fan of pineapple, but Andrew is.

7. Drinking. We were both too young for that, so we're looking forward to trying out all those delicious alcoholic drinks offered around WDW. Andrew especially cause he drinks more than I do.

8. Celebrating Andrew's birthday. With my itinerary change, we'll be in Epcot on his birthday! I'm really looking forward to that.

9. Fantasmic. I have no problem standing in line for that long to see it. I'm young! I can take an hour wait! And we'll both have our DSs to keep us company. BTW, my DS Lite's name is Terra. Oh ya, I still need to upload a photo of it with the Disney babies skin I got.

10. Being there with Andrew. Not only will it be our first trip to WDW, it will be out first long vacation together. I mean, we've taken small weekend trips to small towns around Ontario, but never a week-long one. It'll also be our first flight together! I love flying :lovestruc

So there ya have it. Those are basically my firsts. This trip may as well be a trip of firsts. I was actually a little disappointed to find out about those "First Visit" buttons AFTER I came back. Now I never have a chance to wear it :guilty:

LOL!! Thanks for the shoutout! :lmao:
Yes they are Ben and Jerry flavors. The funny thing is that we don't really eat those flavors, I just love the names. It's funny because one day a really long time ago, someone brought over a pint of ChunkyMonkey and I said that was a cute name, and then the person decided to just call me ChunkyMonkey for the rest of the day. Odd, I tell you. But I guess it makes for a pretty catchy PTR title. :cutie:

Great list! I am pretty excited to try restaurants for the first time too. DH like's the Mickey bar but I am a huge fan of the chocolate dipped frozen bananas so I usually get that as my frozen treat. Hmm, you don't like pineapple? You may or may not like the dole whip - it's not terribly pineapple-y but its definitelly channelling pineapple. It's funny because in Hawaii, you can get dole whip in different flavors like strawberry and watermelon. But at WDW you can only get pineapple, or get it swirled with the vanilla. I think you should try it regardless!

Yaaah, it's a great name. What flavour is in ChubbyHubby?

I think I'm going to try some of Andrew's...... I dunno, I may turn out to like it. I'm excited to try a frozen banana too! I never even knew those existed until the tv show, "Arrested Development". I was very excited to find out they sold those at Disney. Where would I typically find them? Anywhere they have frozen treats?

I try to use really frilly bras. Like the ones that have just crochet. You know what I mean? because I think the breathe a little better. I am all about T-shirt bras as well. Or demi bras. T-Shirt ones are usually made of 100% cotton so they really do breath. And the demi bras only cover half of you....so it leaves a little room to breath there too.

I use Arm and Hammer extra strength. It doesn't have a smell and it's perfect for me. And I mean it's 107 here in Tucson.......I sweet just looking outside so it keeps me pretty dry.

But you can try the secret it might work for you. :P :confused3

Oooh, t-shirt bras. I discovered them when a Victoria's Secret Pink store opened up here. We don't have VS in Canada. I recently brought a bra that's mostly nylon which I read should breath a little better. It definitely doesn't get as sticky as my cotton bras. It's not easy to find 100% cotton. They also tend to be on the pricey side too.

Arm and Hammer, eh? I haven't bought the secret yet, so I guess I'll just compare prices. It sounds great though.

This is just a quick update. Sorry I haven't been around. I was super busy over the past weekend because of a cosplay picnic that took place. This is also the time ALL MY PAPERS are due. I have 3 papers to work on and 2 more BIG ones due very soon.

I hate writing papers. I just wish I could give my prof a small lecture about what I know of the topic and what I found. At least then I'm graded on how well I know the material as opposed to how well I can write about something in 10 pages with 5 different reference materials. :sad2:

See y'all soon with some mini-TRs~

Also, OMIGOSH, IT'S SO CLOOOOOSE!!!!!!

And Dina, you're leaving in 7 days!!!!

Oh my gosh I know! I can't wait! I think we are going to leave a day early. Just because I got more time off! So see the in laws then leave them and then see them again.
