08/03/2010 - Wonder - Who needs The Baltic when you've got Key West??

When is his birthday? We are celebrating my 10 year old dd's birthday on the 7th. Also celebrating oldest's high school graduation.

It is actually August 19th, but the cruise is what he wanted for his Birthday. Wasn't exactly in our budget, but you only live once I guess? :confused3

The 22 y o boys traveling with me looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they would do the bracelets!:lmao: But I'm game!

Probably looked a lot like what I got from my 14 and 18 year old dd's. I would be interested in meeting at the pool, but would also do the Prom. lounge too. Meeting people for the first time in a swimsuit is not a pretty picture for someone my size, but the kids like to head to the pool.:rotfl:

Oh no!!!! Not the pool!:scared1::rotfl: maybe bracelets and swimsuits are not such a great idea!

:love:Sorry guys!!! I'm in Montreal and haven't had much time to go on the internet!

I think I have responded to everyone who has PM'ed me since yesterday.

I have a spread sheet ready and when I get back on Thursday I will send it to everyone who has PM'ed me wanting to participate.

Some ideas I found were temp. pirate tatoos, Oriental Trading stuff, little bottles of lotions, sun block and aloe. mini candies, trading pins, mini tropical adult beverages, leis, and Target dollar section always had great stuff, too

If you haven't PM'ed me wanting to participate, please do it now.

Thanks!!

Has anyone booked Palo when arriving inboard? Do they save some reservations? I'm rethinking our nights and would like to switch our dinner from the last night to the dress up night. Do I have much of a chance?

Yes, I did this on my last cruise. Go right to WaveBands upon boarding to make changes or set up reservations for Palo. I've seen mixed reports of opening time for this. My last cruise was a DVC member cruise on the Wonder and we lined up for the session to start at 1pm. Other times I've seen that it opened at 2pm and wouldn't let people line up. The paperwork received at port should explain what to do.

I just want to make sure I'm participating properly...;) Do we have 2 separate exchanges-one for adults and one for kids- or do we give to both? My friend and I aren't traveling with our kids (who are actually adults now anyway!) so do we only give to the adults or kids too? We're fine either way, just want to take care of everyone we should. Sorry for being such a FE exchange newbie! Thanks!

Sounds like it's ok however you wish...one gift per stateroom or one gift per each person in the stateroom. I worked on my stuff this weekend and I am thrilled with myself!:lmao::rotfl:I have one set of items for each of the 11 staterooms. must be the teacher in me to organize it! Anyway..hope I did it right!

It's the teacher in me that wants to get it right! ;) Do my friend and I each get something for each person or do we give from our stateroom to each person? What's everyone doing?:confused::confused: My apologies again for being a nuisance!:guilty:

I'm traveling with 2 22 year olds and they are just along for the ride! I shopped around and found what I thought each stateroom would enjoy. They can decide on how to divvy it up. I didn't spend a whole lot either. I have a gift for each stateroom, that is from our stateroom. Not individualized.

Sounds like a plan! I'll get on it! I love an excuse to shop!!

My hubby, 6 year old, and myself will be embarking on the Disney Wonder August 3-8, 2010...love DCL, and can't wait to enjoy this "extra" cruise we are taking this year.

I know we are late to post our info, but I would love to get my daughter in on the FE exchange. This is my 11th cruise, hubby's 9th, and her 6th-never have done an exchange. If we can get in, can yu post the # of kids so I can be sure to bring enough goodies?

We also just booked today, it will be myself, wife and 2 boys (4 & 6). We live in Orlando and both of us work with the parks in some way so this was a last minute booking but looking forward to it. This is our second cruise and the last one was on the Wonder also!! :cool1: Tony

My husband and I both work at WDW too. We always book our cruises prettty last minute. I can't wait for this one!
