Does the Swan and Dolphin still have refillable mugs? If so, what can I fill them with and where? Also, what is the cost?

thank you :thumbsup2
You're welcome.

isn't that last years mug??

they still haven't changed it yet? i think we'll pass on them this year then since we still have last years mug. plus we aren't planning on seeing the resort cafe much but it would have been a nice souvenier
Yes they did not change the mug design for 2010, so it's last years mug.

Sorry to be such a dunce, but which one is current? The one with the print all the way down to the bottom, or the one with the white bottom? Thanks

I am thinking of getting some half and half in the mug and store it in the fridge for our morning coffee. Does anyone know if there's any creamer with the in-room coffee maker?

yep. they have it on tap until 7PM and then they put packets out until midnight. my husband LOVED the half&half on tap and had more of that in his coffee than he had coffee!:rotfl:

(we were just there in May)

Sorry, but does anyone know the answer to this question? I have heard so many conflicting things, some say that you can only buy and refill at Picabu at the Dolphin, while others have said you can only buy them at Picabu but there are refill places elsewhere.

ohhhh my dd LOVES half and half LOL

actually i'm not sure if she loves the h&h or the fact that we used to let her drink it out of those little containers

she might like a half cup of it with her breakfast :)

Just saying....there's another mug thread about using old mugs and refilling them and not getting caught....I'm just sayin' the members here get pretty fired up and I don't blame them.....you might want to check it out...:confused3:confused3

I read those ones too. People are really doing a lot of name calling. I still would like clarification. I checked our mugs from 2002 & they do not say "Refills til the last day of your stay. At the time they had two sizes, so we got one of each. When we went again in 2006 we brought the one & bought another one. That time the new one said "Refills til the last day of your stay." So can I continue to use the one from 2002 since it was told to us it was a forever mug and it doesn't say "Refills til the last day of your stay."?

Have you asked your question on THIS THREAD???

We haven't had a problem using the older mugs sold as the forever mugs. Many others here have done so and I have seen others during various stays using the older ones. We have quite a few of the CBR mugs and we will be using them in Nov!!

For the Swan/Dolphin ... they do sell refillable mugs at Picabu for $12.95. Complimentary refills of sodas and coffee are available at Picabu only.

That's straight from the folks at the S/D.

Very few of the older mugs were "forever" mugs. They only started adding the words on the mugs because people didn't want to hear the policy and they didn't want to read about it on a sign over the mugs. They wanted to use them forever. I know my mugs in 1997, 1998 and 1999 were never sold to us as "forever" mugs.

If you ask Disney officially, they will say there were never any "forever" mugs at all.

ok i read the whole post and didnt really see this adressed.

I know in the 1st post it say the mugs are pretty bulky to carry in the parks but my mom takes all day to drink a cup of coffee/soda. I remember a post where someone said that security opened up thier water bottle and sniffed it, which is gross i think. so has anyone brought their mug in the park and had any problems. if she doesnt have a bag does she have to go thru security with the mug or just go around

There are security personnel even at the 'no bag' line. If they feel a Guest needs to go through the bag check line, that person will be redirected accordingly.

While it's understood you think it's 'gross' that security opened a (presumably already opened) water bottle and sniffed the contents), Guests can't bring alcoholic beverages into the parks. Rum and vodka, among others, often resemble water in appearance.

I always have a pop in my mug when going in the park. I usually finish about 5 minutes after I enter. I've gone thru bag check (when I've had a bag) and no bag check when I'm bagless. No one has ever sniffed or asked about my mug. I wouldn't like that either but would understand if I was acting intoxicated.

I haven't read through every page so sorry if this has been answered already: Can you refill the mugs 24hrs a day?

yees you can - for the length of your stay in the resort your staying
