I have been a long time follower of all the planning journals here on the boards! I have followed many stories from beginning to end and I finally have my own story to share!
To start this off right let me introduce myself...my name is Kristin and I am a Program Specialist for an Autistic boys unit by day and a Wedding day Director by night...I have always loved the meaning behind a wedding and I am so happy that I have found my prince charming. I work for The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants as a Wedding Day Director and I am really excited that I am able to begin planning my own wedding!
My Fiancé, Rich, is in the construction business and loves to occupy some of his time riding his quads and dirt bikes...he's quite the manly man.
One summer I worked at a restaurant as a server where I met Rich's cousin, Kathy. Kathy and I worked great together and eventually started hanging out. Kathy was constantly trying to set me up but I had recently split with a long term boyfriend and knew I didnt want another relationship...however a movie never hurt anybody! One night while hanging out with Rich's cousin she decided that we would be a great match...she had mentioned that Rich hated going to the movies so she suggested we go out to dinner. Kathy then called Rich, talked to him for a few minutes, then handed me the phone after Rich and I chatted about mindless things he asked if I wanted to get together to do something this week. Of course I said yes, and when he asked me what I wanted to do I said go see a movie! He agreed without so much as batting an eye, I knew this would be a great start to a wonderful relationship. Later that week he met me at work on his motorcycle and we headed to the movie theater in my car. We saw The Bourne Identity and wound up talking through the whole movie, I then drove Rich back to his bike and we sat in the parking lot and talked until 4am. Rich and I decided to say goodnight and agreed to meet again in a few days. The next day Rich called and thanked me for the previous night and we decided to go to dinner the following night. That next night I drove to Richs house because I refused to get on a motorcycle, and we headed to dinner. We had a great meal and conversation, we finally left and I drove back to his house parked the car we said our goodbyes he leaned in for a kiss and the rest is history! Shortly after that night he bought a car and drove me around everywhere after that!
Here we are 8 years later planning our happily ever after in the happiest place on earth!
I hope you follow along with all of our planning and enjoy posting on this blog! I look forward to sharing ideas with you and learning from you wonderful ladies of the boards!
