Background info:
Last year we took our girls, then 9&2, on a "4/3 never this cheap again, once in a lifetime trip let's do DxDP trip " to WDW.. Best week of our lives, came home, and scrunched everything we could to buy DVC. We'll be making our first trip home to BLT in 11 days!

We originally decided on DDP, b/c DH kept saying that having to be somewhere all the time got really old. Made our ADRs in January, and I must say I was... deflated. Especially since part of the deal for DVC that DH would get Ohana dinner 2x each trip. Left us with a total of 4 choices - we picked Akershus, 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House Breakfast, and WCC. Changed Akershus dinner to Mama Melrose. Still weren't happy.

I began to pour over dining reviews, hoping to get excited over 1900, since it was the ONLY place we hadn't done before. Of course, the DxDp reviews pulled me in. DD1 said "The best meal at WDW was Chef Mickey's." A few days later DD2 said "I can't wait to eat in the castle again" DH looked at me the following Saturday and said - "I've been dreading fighting crowds for CS, can we swing DxDP again?" I agreed ONLY IF we could get a CRT and CM. Which we did, for a 7am breakfast at CM and 2pm lunch at CRT on our checkout day. Not very optimal, but they were there, so here we are!:thumbsup2

Cast: DH - eats A LOT!!!!! Nuff said!
Me- I've lost 56 pounds since January. This trip changed that a bit, and I am really feeling yucky! I tried to be good, but it just didn't happen!
DD (age 10). VERY PICKY!!! I mean picky!!! Stilll has a childlike appetite!
DD (age 3) Eats a lot! Loves steak, "big people food"

*We went ahead and cancelled Tony's and changed our Boma time to 4:50. We really felt like this day had too much food, and the easiest way to get that credit we need was to just go ahead and cancel. Honestly, this was one meal that no one was super excited to have 1 thing from the menu. Everywhere else, we have an app, entree, or dessert that we can't wait for! We may end up cancelling Y&Y, too, but I want to go if for no other reason than to get lettuce cups and fried wontons again. I don't need the entree!

Looks yummy! Congratulations on buying DVC and on losing 55 pounds! I have been trying to lose weight since January and am stuck on a 10-lb plateau! I'm getting soooo frustrated! What method did you use? Of course, my birthday cake the other day didn't help me!

Congratulations on both your ownership and your weight loss. I started "trying" to lose weight in April and have only lost 18 pounds so far. (It's not that great considering I'm Pooh sized!) Congratulations on 55-that is awesome!

I can't wait to read your reviews. We are there about a month after you.

We'll be dining at many of the same places. I'm looking forward to hearing someone else's take on things.

Enjoy your trip!

It's been a combination of things. I started with cutting out soda. Then I started the couch to 5K running program (coolrunning.com). Began a dedicated 1200-1300 calorie diet, broken into small meals. Joined the BL challenge on the W.I.S.H boards - which was probably the single best thing I did. Joined sparkpeople and tracked calories in vs. calories out. Continued running, avg 10-12 miles a week. I have about 15 more to go, and that list of ADRs is NOT going to help!!!!!!!

I am going to try my best to get them done quickly! If I don't, I'll forget everything! Keep up the new lifestyle. I can't think of it as a diet, b/c the exercise is a HUGE portion, and this is my new way of life.

I just gained 10 lbs reading your adrs!!;)

Now I AM :scared1:! :rotfl2:

Thanks! I plan on it!

Welcome!

Your ADR's look GREAT!!! I lost 45 lbs before my last trip, and even though I ate VERY well at WDW- I managed to gain back.....1 pound! I think between walking a billion miles a day, and sweating it all worked out!

Can't wait to hear how it went!

You have NO idea how good that makes me feel! I am really worried that since I run about 12 miles a week, my body is conditioned for more cardio and the walking wouldn't help. I am sure the sweating will help, too!!!!! I plan on weighing a couple of times, just to keep it in check. Hoping to get a couple of short runs in, if I have time before all those early ADRS! ;) Thanks for the report!:)

Your line up sounds great. You guys are going to love the Yachtsman! It is first class all the way.

Well, we've rearranged some again. Changes in red on first post.

BTW - I'll change up the first post when we get back, and I actually start the review, so if it looks different, it's still us!

Sounds awesome! Looking forward to your report!

I also have a couple of days where I don't think we'll be that hungry for lunch, but we'll need to eat something and we'll need an A/C rest.

Ooh I'm in and can't wait!

Thanks, me either !!!!! 3 more days!!

After reading some of what people are saying, we are feeling better about our plan to just grab some snacks and hit BLT for pool, rest, and the afternoon. It's looking brutal!

Thanks for joining in!

Sounds great! Can't wait to read your reviews as we will be dining at many of the same places this July.

Hopfully I can knock it out pretty quickly when I get back!!

LEAVING TONIGHT!!!! LET THE GORGING BEGIN!!!!!:cool1:

Ugh. I don't think I'll ever want to eat again!! My stomach is sooo full!!!

We had a great trip! The food at times was definitely great, others okay, sometimes too much, and an occasional let down. I think sometimes I build it up in my mind, picking just the right places, then it all starts to run together after a while!

Okay, let's get this party started!

Sunday, June 20, Main St. Bakery breakfast

We arrived at 6am! Did the paperwork, headed to MK for rope drop. Went straight to the Bakery to start using some of those snacks!

DH and I both got cinnamon rolls, I shared one with DD2.
DD1 got donuts. Really exciting! You get two in a pack for one credit.
We got 2 bottles of water to share.

5 credits down, 43 to go.

The cinnamon rolls were huge, and yummy. Definitely big enough to share. DD loved her glazed donuts, she loves them and I never buy them! She was feeling rather "Goofy" this morning, forgive the picture!
