OK, so this was the 2nd time we stayed at the GF but 1st time here. It was FABULOUS! DS13 and I went and got there 20 min early for our ADR. The CM's were so nice and friendly, chit chatted with the girl from Penn State and they sat us within a few minutes.
Narcoossee's is beautiful, right on the water. Although we didn't have a window seat, it was still so open and airy and the view was lovely from anywhere you would sit.
Service was prompt and friendly. The waiter gave us some suggestions (although we had alredy ordered months before in our minds haha)
We both got the surf & turf. The lobster was excellent. I thought the filet medallions were a bit overdone - did not really taste like filet. The lobster made me forget that though.
Let me tell you, I was trying to go "light" on the dessert so I ordered the gelato sampler. It was the BEST dessert of my whole trip! Really! Chocolate, raspberry, pistachio & cappuccino gelatos in cute little ceramic squares with cute little spoons. The flavors were so rich and pronounced...my son thought it was better than his almond-crusted cheesecake (which I tried and thought was also fabulous - reminded me of a Good Humor toasted almond bar) Sorry I already took a bite of the chocolate this was really a special dessert.
The bread they serve is so hot and fresh - crispy on the outside, it made a heck of a mess but the server laughed it off and said everyone makes a mess with it! It comes with Hawaiian salted butter that was mmmm. I could have made a meal out of the bread!
I give it two thumbs up, we already have ADR's for our next trip - a must do.
