Well, we are 9 days away, so I figured I would start a trip report. We are headed to DL! We were there in February 2009, however, the trip ended up being my mom, DD (3.5 at the time) and myself. My husband ended up having to stay home in hopes of hearing about a job. I have been wanting to get back so bad since. We made a deposit in September for a DCL Alaska Cruise for July 2011. Things started changing, and we aren't too sure what our life will be like next summer. SOOO, we canceled that and booked this!

We are:
DH - 35 and hasn't been to DL in over 10 years. Knows nothing about DCA and I know he will love the more adult rides there!! He is very much a go with the flow person and my planning and nagging to make decisions are driving him crazy!!! :rotfl:

DD - One month shy of 5 and a busy body! This will be her second trip to DL! Last time she rarely rode in the stroller and was go-go the entire time. Had a melt down the day after we got home, in the mall, but was a perfect Princess while at DL!! And, drum roll, she has grown and can do BTMRR and Splash. She can do Space, but not sure if she will try! She loved watching me do BTMRR last time and can't wait! She might be tall enough for Grizzly, we'll see, I hope she is!

Me - 32 and in love with DL!! We went a lot as kids and want to go alot with my kids! Now, to convince DH!! I love them all! February 2009 was my first time in DCA, so a lot I didn't get to do, and looking forward to doing more this time around!

We will be flying! We considered driving, but decided to save our sanity and fly! We had miles and an Alaska Air $50 companion pass, so got pretty good deals on airfare.

We leave Seattle on Saturday June 12 at 12:30 and return landing in Seattle on June 17 at 10pm ish!

We booked the Disneyland Resort Express so we would not need to lug a seat for DD with us.

We have decided to pack only carry ons, wish us luck! We land between the two Express buses and don't want to miss the 4pm while waiting for our luggage, so here goes some serious packing! I plan to divide DD's clothes up among gallon ziploc bags to save space!

This was about the hardest decision to make and we bounced around a lot before settling!

We searched Expedia, Costco, Alaska Air, and Disney to find prices and cost things out. At one point we considered DLH, mainly hoping they would like a child 1 month shy of 5 into Pinochhio's Workshop, but no luck, so crossed that of our list.

Our criteria included, somewhere walking distance and with a suite so DH and I can have our own space. In February 2009 we stayed at the DoubleTree Suites and walked often.

This time we settled on Anabella Inn. We are in a Casita Suite and booked through Costco. Mainly chose Costco so we could have the free Character meal! The hotel looks nice, and Trip Advisor and Expedia have good comments.

So, I kind of have a itenerary, very rough and no rides scheduled. We are mainly scheduling one sit down type meal each day, and the other will be snacky/quick service. We are packing oatmeal in our luggage to bring with us for breakfast.

Saturday
We are landing, checking in, and my cousin is going to meet us at Gardenwalk for dinner. To bed early if possible!

So, that is our tentative plan. We are calling tomorrow in hopes of getting a F! Dessert Package. I don't want to waste time waiting for things! I need to fit PH and PFF in there somewhere too!

Oh, and parades and shows! I really want to have afternoon breaks and pool time, but I don't know if it will fit!! Definitely will do that on Sunday, cause WOC is a bit late for our little one!

Hi! We're going to be in the parks pretty much the same days. We will be using our MM on that Tuesday also, maybe we will see each other. ;) Hope you have fun and have a safe trip. Can't wait to compare my experiences with yours. :thumbsup2

Cool!! I can't wait to compare either! Are you doing a trip report? I am a bit stressed about the crowds, but looking forward to the sun!! Too much rain up here lately!

Yeah, we were able to get the Fantasmic Dessert Package for Monday night! The 9pm show!! I was worried they would be booked! I wonder if people are preferring to pay for the WOC Dinners instead. I can't wait for this trip!

This week we will start packing and making lists!

Yeah, I have a TR going, it's down a bit further on the first page. I guess I need to add a link for it to my siggy, huh?

OMG, we're going to be watching F! together!! My DD and I will be at the 9:00 show Monday too. That's really awesome that you were still able to reserve seats, plus maybe it means it won't be as crazy as I was afraid it would be. Either that or everyone is just going to sit on the ground and save their money for WOC dinners like you said. Who the heck knows. :confused3

I will keep my out for you at the dessert seating. :thumbsup2

Just popping in!! Looks like you will have fantastic weather!! Great news! When we go in August it will likely be hot, hot,hot..but we will be armed with mistymates haha!!!
Not much longer and you will be in paradise!!! yay!!! Are you going to fastpass WOC? what are your plans for viewing it? I would love to do the Fantasmic dessert package..still waiting for DD3 to become un-afraid of the show!!!

We have WOC Dinner package reservations on Sunday at Ariel's Grotto. For WOC and Fanstasmic we decided to spend the money for good viewing vs. wasting time trying to wait and get seats, etc.

:banana::banana::yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo:

WE are so close!!! Only 3 more sleeps!!!

DD is pretty much packed. I have a few more things to put together. And DH, well, he is DH and will pack Saturday AM!!

We made a reservation for CPK at Gardenwalk on Saturday night with my cousin. After dinner she is going to take me to Target to get sunscreen and some other items. We are doing all carry on, so not bringing some items.

 I'm about halfway packed. I don't want to be digging stuff back out while waiting to leave, so I'm waiting until the night before. I know exactly what will be put in bags, though.

Have fun! I will. :dance3: :cheer2:

Just found your trip report. So many heading down in June. Looking forward to the feedback before we head out in July.

I am right there with you on all the things we want to see and do - as well as finding down time for the pool and such! ;)

Enjoy the trip and look forward to hearing all about it.

It is hard! We were just there in February 2009, so first things are those we didn't do last time.

Thanks! Hope to get the full report done next weekend after we return and before I head back to work!

2 SLEEPS!!!!

We did more packing last night and DD was bouncing off the walls!! She is getting very excited!!!

I am working long days this week in an effort to get things done and not feel anything is hanging over my head all week. I want to relax!! This is our first real family vacation. We frequently drive to Spokane to see family, but this is different. It should be a lot of fun!!

Oh, and DH is happy, we found a liquor store within walking distance! Now we can have a night cap after DD is in bed and not spend a ton!

Hopefully I can sleep these last 2 nights. I can feel my stomach twisting up in knots, I'm so anxious.

So close now. :yay::yay:

Definitely hitting what we missed first. And as to DH being happy for the bottle shop - totally with him. Plan on bringing my mini bottles with me. Though still may try the WoC drink :rolleyes1 It sounds yummy!

Have a great trip!!
