Upgrade to adult free dining?

We have 3 adults going to disney in 1 room. I know the free dining includes 2 adults and 2 kids, so will they let us upgrade an adult to free dining if we pay the difference?

They just use that as an example.

You are allowed up to 4 guests in one room. If you have a child in a playpen (crib) that is under 3 then you can have 5. Some rooms accomedate more people.

You can have 3 adults in a room for free dining. There is a charge if all 3 are 18 or older, as they charge for the extra adult. If one is 17 or under they consider them a junior for the room, so there is no charge. I believe at the value resorts it is $10 per night, moderates $15 per night.

Everyone in the room gets free dining but you're limited to the capacity of the room. Most Disney resorts have a capacity of 4 to a room (plus a child under 3 in a pack n play). Some rooms at POR and at deluxe resorts have a capacity of 5. Family suites and Fort Wilderness cabins have a capacity of 6. 2 bedroom villas can hold 12.

With 3 adults (18 and over) you'd pay the extra adult charge for one adult, that price varies according to the level of resort. You'd be within the capacity for any room at the WDW resort. You'd all get free dining.

There are three adults, and we want to stay at Pop and get the QSDP for free? DOes the third have to pay? Sorry I am still confused.

Not for the dining plan but a separate resort fee of $10/night for having more than 2 adults in a room. This has nothing to do with the dining plan at all - it is always required when there are more than 2 adults in the room.

okay. SO there is a fee for the adult, but not for the dining plan. . . I think I understand.

If you intend to book a room on the free dining package at Pop Century for three adults, you will pay for park tickets for three adults (all three must purchase the same type and length of park ticket), and you'll get the QS dining plan free for all three adults. You will also pay an extra $10 per night for the third adult (because you have more than two adults in the room).

I know all the Disney ads on free dining say two adults and two children, but that is just an example to show what the costs would be for the average family on the average stay.

You can upgrade your QSDP if you want the DDP. It costs $10 more per adult per night.
