Followed by..... you'll just have to wait and see!!!

What??????? You are going to leave us hanging here. More please! popcorn::

So did you crash right back into the sleeping chick on the blue inner tube?

psssstt.... hey everyone....keep your voices down.... let's all trash talk kara while she is off moving! :rolleyes1

Listen here BUCKO! Yeah, that's my tough guy voice...... Just cause I'm not posting doesn't mean I'm not "watching....."

What?????

We can't trash talk her while she is here???? :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Why not? Everyone else does!!!! :rotfl2:

YC/BC and Stormalong Bay is my absolute favorite. I love to float around the lazy river and stop on one of the seats along the wall and just hang out. Luckily my DS17 loves it as much as I do so he'll hang out there with me. I don't understand why that lazy river is so deep though. I tried a tube in there once and it's too hard to get in and out of. The noodles are much easier.
Looks like you girls had a great time. I had a girls weekend last June. My friends loved the whole YC/BC stormalong bay thing too. I can't wait to get back again. I'm having WDW withdrawals right now. I haven't been since Nov. and with DS starting college in Sept. I don't know when I'll get back. I would love to get down there for one of the DISmeets to meet some of people who are as Disney crazy as me.

I have had about 8 DISmeets and every single one has been wonderful! The DISmeet with Ellen was a bit different. I had never met her, yet I agreed to stay with her at AKL last year! Yes, that was the FIRST time I had met her - hence the axe..... :rolleyes1 One can never be too careful these days.....

What a wonderful trip report! Im living through your fun and completely jealous!!!! :goodvibes

I agree with zoegirl -- convince my friends to ditch kids and husbands and head to Disney!

Kids? What kids? Husbands? Whatchootalkinboutwillis????? RIP Gary Coleman.....

Moms and poop and the pope and hail marys.... that is one comparison I would not have come up with myself. :lmao:

What can I say? It's a gift. Some gals get um, a couple of things, some get talent, some get brains. I have the gift of mixing moms, poop and popes. :confused3

Thanx for subbing, must update soon :teeth:

Thats a shame that we arrive as you leave, alot of Disers I have gotten to know are leaving before we get there :(

Loving the updates, looks like you and Kara had a great time in the pool, apart from getting crashed in to. It does look like an awesome pool :goodvibes

Great pool. Just dangerous. That gal must have been doing 40-45 in the currents. Next time I'll wear my football helmet just to be safe.....

:rotfl2::rotfl2:OMG, I think I just wet my pants!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:Pumpkin man has some serious competition, but I think he just might win this round! Wish I knew how to upload pictures...I have one with a front view of his Alice in Wonderland shirt and the goodies hanging off his fanny pack. Pumpkin Dude is stylin'!!:lmao:

FYI, those are a man and woman in those pics. The man was in the purple sporting his Beatles haircut. The woman was, well, judge for yourself what she was doing.

"Goodies?" Is that what you kids are callin it these days???

Let's just remember what's on the "Don't Tell" list, no matter who axes!!!:rolleyes1 (Remember, this is family programming!:rotfl:)

I got your back girlfriend! Or is it your mouth?:confused3

What??????? You are going to leave us hanging here. More please! popcorn::

So did you crash right back into the sleeping chick on the blue inner tube?

See above. WAsn't wearing my football helmet. Next time I'll take her out!

Welcome!!!! Thank you for following along - we have a GREAT group of gals and have a BLAST!!!!

So....sorry I've been MIA- hope everyone had a blast on Memorial Day weekend- I was busy, busy, busy- last night was my first night home in about a week! One of the things keeping me busy was our family's 1st visit to the NEW Yankee Stadium. We went to Tuesday night's game, and I wanted to post some pics because Cammie is a BIG Yankee fan! :thumbsup2

It took us 50 minutes to get to the new stadium from home, how great is THAT?! There were a LOT of thunderstorms in the forecast, so I left my DSLR at home- which I am soooooo cursing myself about because we had great seats. We made our usual stop for tshirts outside the park (sooooo much cheaper!) and then headed into the stadium-

2010_0601water2010spring0024.jpg

We had field seats, 5th row in right field- couldn't believe how amazing the seats were- leather and cushioned!! We headed down to them-

2010_0601water2010spring0025.jpg

But didn't stay long, we were hungry, and it was RAINING!!! A LOT!!

2010_0601water2010spring0026.jpg

Now the old stadium had very limited choices for food- not a whole lot beyond hot dogs, popcorn & cracker jacks. But this new stadium?? This stadium is worthy of the New York Yankees!!! Everything from prime beef steak sandwiches on weck rolls, noodles & sushi, build your own nachos, NY Deli, paninis, garlic fries, a salad bar, and on and on....

2010_0601water2010spring0034.jpg

As we walked around, there were a few shops with incredible Yankees merchandise- here's one of them-

2010_0601water2010spring0036.jpg

Half way around, and still raining-

2010_0601water2010spring0037.jpg

The boys wanted cheese fries from Nathan's-

2010_0601water2010spring0038.jpg

Personally, I would choose the cheese fries from that garlic fries stand, but whatever....they were happy. We had a spicy tuna roll which was yummy and $9.50, then a Lobels steak sandwich which was $15 and came with a bag of chips- expensive, but delish.

2010_0601water2010spring0041.jpg

As yummy as it was, though, afterwards I noticed that they served prime steak on WECK rolls over in right field, and I would pick that over anything- weck rolls are these rolls from upstate NY that my friend Jane turned me onto, they have salt on top and OMG...are they ALL THAT!!!

The rain ended, and the tarp came off the infield-

2010_0601water2010spring0044.jpg

Time to head back to our seats and watch the players take the field!!

Cont'd next post-

While we waited for the Yankees, my men proved YET AGAIN that they are genetically linked by their tilted photo heads-

They warmed up RIGHT IN FRONT OF US- the Orioles were in left field. Sooooo missing my zoom lens!!! :sad1:

Hello A Rod-

The Yankees take the field-

2010_0601water2010spring0066.jpg

Gotta love this sign on the backs of the seats-

2010_0601water2010spring0068.jpg

In the field section, you can wave a menu in the air and get food/drink service....which we got ice cream bars for the kids and Pods always has to have a bag of peanuts at the game. Our seats were directly next to Swisher-

2010_0601water2010spring0070.jpg

It was a good game, and a fast one- ARod didn't hit any Grand Salamis, but Cano hit a homerun which went to exactly where our seats are for a July game. By the 8th inning, the Yankees were ahead 3 to 1, and Timmy wanted to get some souvenirs-

2010_0601water2010spring0072.jpg

2010_0601water2010spring0073.jpg

While we were shopping, a drunk and thoroughly obnoxious Red Sox fan was tossed out of the stadium for not having a ticket, much to the stadium's joy and cheers. Kinda sorry we missed that! I mean, seriously- a Red Sox fan mouthing off in Yankee Stadium??? NOT a very smart move in the Bronx!! Watching the last out-

2010_0601water2010spring0080.jpg

And the Yankees won in the top of the 9th. Then time to go home-

2010_0601water2010spring0081.jpg

We were out and home in an hour- a perfect night!! Thanks for listening to my sidetrack- I'll be back soon with the DISmom night of debauchery!

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I think you're right!!! How did you know about them??? By the way, his website is freakin me out!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I remember someone posting his site a few years ago, so I googled "guy who dresses up like Peter Pan" and there it was!! He's a little odd, to say the least. :rolleyes1

WOW- thanks for the link. Just proves the fact that there are ALL kinds of Disney fans out there, huh??!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :rotfl:

Even without your zoom lens you were able to take great shots! Love all the food choices. When in college I dated a real sports nut and we went to every sporting event within 50 miles of Seattle. Since I was such a serious student I would take my homework/readings with me to work on while he was engaged with the game. I always made him buy me "food" if I went with him. He must have really liked me since he had to buy me a ticket and feed me and then I did not even watch the game.

Well, now leather seats would be wonderful. But ohhh those hot Texas summers. You would have to peel yourself off of them. I love going to the ball games (even those the Texas Rangers need a little work) but I tell you when it hits 100 degrees even after sunset its still hot

But look!! Mr. Pumpkin was waiting to say hello!!

2010_0504dismoms20100027.jpg

OMG! :lmao: I had completely forgotten about seeing him in Wigd's report!

So glad you guys braved the floaters and had fun in the pool! You all are having so much fun--I want to be a DIS mom!!! :rotfl:

I have one with a front view of his Alice in Wonderland shirt and the goodies hanging off his fanny pack.

I'd rather NOT see his goodies...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

The new stadium is AMAZING! I would love to visit it!

Hahaha! Makes all of us look tame in comparison, huh?! :lmao:

That's an understatement!! :rotfl2:

Yes, but if I would have had my Canon camera, we could have seen his blue eyes....

I like baseball alot more than I ever did when I was younger due to seeing umpteen million games in the past 8 years played by my boys....prior to that, I was a "what"s there to eat" kinda fan, too! :rotfl: Maybe I still am, I did take a TON of pics of the food options!! HAHA!! We must be VERY special to have been brought to those games!!:rotfl:

I would imagine those seats would be a little sticky here in the summer as well. Maybe not Texas hot, but hot enough! But at least they're cushioned! :thumbsup2

I have no doubt he's in a ton of TRs all over the web, the big Hipster Doofus!! :rotfl2:

The stadium is amazing. I live in Reds country, so the Yankees are not too well liked here! I used to follow baseball when our sons lived at home, but don't anymore. My Dh is not a sports fan at all, he may watch a little golf now & then, but that's it.

I had to save Peter Pan's site so that I can read it at my leisure. That is one strange dude! Creepy!

Ellen! LOVE the pics of Yankee Stadium! My daughter is a Yankees fan and was in awe of your photos. Thanks for letting us have a look. :thumbsup2

My DH is a total jock- played lots of baseball, basketball & football as a kid and as a teenager- now he coaches & manages (and is the treasurer of the town's baseball league). My kids were both on the REDS in their house leagues- I have loads of old jerseys and a couple of caps if you'd like me to ship them out to Ohio!! :rotfl:

I'm so glad she liked them so much!! :goodvibes I figured there might be a few people interested- it's a beautiful stadium- we were so sad to see the old one go, but the entire new one is SUCH a tribute to years & years of Yankees history, we're over it. We are going to another game in July (I think) and I WILL bring my good camera next time, even if there is a threat of rain. We didn't even see everything, and we were there for an hour and a half before the game started. Really looking forard to going back!! :yay:

I have a question-does anyone know why my photos are sideways?? Is photobucket wiggin out??? Are anyone else's pics doing this? They're ok on photobucket- just sideways here. :confused3
