So I JUST upgraded our dining plan to deluxe, and I am looking at some of the signature menus on allears. What I am wondering is there any limit on what you can order? Example: Narcoossees has surf and turf for $59 then you get an app which I would get the ceaser salad which is $11 and then a desert $8 and a drink $2.50. Just in that one meal I have spent the cost for the deluxe dining for that day + $8. Which still leaves me 1ts credit for the day and 2 snack credits so that leaves me with about 40-50 potentially to "spend" that day. Thats crazy! Crazy good of course but crazy nonetheless. So is there a limit to what you can get at the more expensive resturants? I usually get the reg plan so we never eat at the signature places. So excited tho!TIA!!!:goodvibes

thats what I thought! But it seemed too good to be true!!!!! so excited!! Ive never done the DxDDP just DDP so I cant wait!!!

keep in mind, and i don't mean to rain on your deluxe-dining-parade (LOL), that the downside to that wonderful meal being included on the plan is that you have to then tip on your $80+ meal... i knew it, and we planned for it, but we charged all our tips to the room and were a little surprised when we got the bill!
(we were also four adults, so most tips averaged $50-60, and that added up a little too quickly! LOL! we agreed that next time we did DxDDP we would take advantage of the gratuity-inclusive meals like HDDR, SoA, CRT, etc)...

Yea I was thinking CRT HDDR and SoA will def be part of our meals! Save on the tips! I just wanted to sprinkle in a narcoossees and a Cali grill to class up my clan a little :lmao:I figure 2 signature dining would be that rough on us. But thanks for the imput! It makes me want to book the shows and CRT even more! I love HDDR anyways and I am very excited about trying SoA and CRT for the first time!!! It should be a good trip I think!!!

I know what you mean, we too are doing the DxDDP for the first time....heck, this will be the first time that we will be doing any sort of DDP....we usually pay OOP but since FD came along and we decided to downgrade our resort from CR to POR, we figured why not do FD and upgrade to DxDDP. I was dumbfounded by what I learned that was included with the DxDDP. It's a lot of food but we are up to the challenge. My DH and I figured that since we have already been to Disney once this year (been for Spring Break), this trip we want to take it much slower, and to sit down 3 times a day (on a few days) will give us the breaks that we will be needing. Since we upgraded we too will be eating at CRT and Cali Grill plus many other 1 credit TS dining locations. I so can't wait for our September trip :cool1:

This is exactly what we did (except for the fd part, FINGERS CROSSED!!!!) We down graded from WL to POP because we decided that the food was more important to us this time. We kinda want to take it easy and enjoy being in disney instead of going crazy to get to every ride or show. I am actually very excited about this trip more so than others because I think that this time we will enjoy time together and all the sights and tastes disney has to offer! Enjoy your crazy amount of food!!!!!!!

There is no dollar limit. I didn't read the threads but there are exceptions: at Cali Grill, a few of the sushi apps are considered entrees instead of an app and some apps or desserts at some TS say for 2 people, which means you can only order 1 app or 1 dessert and you have to share.

This is why we (my DH & me) get the deluxe plan. For an 8 night trip, we save $500+, since we will go to 1 TS for lunch and a signature most nights anyway, getting the plan is so worth it for us.
