The goal of this thread is to let the higher ups at Disney know that we miss the old Disney Channel! This, in association with a page on Facebook, will let them know that we miss the classics!! Walt Disney Presents, Good Morning Mickey, not to mention all of our favorite classic cartoons. Please sign this thread, or like the Facebook page, and get some attention for our cause! :cheer2: (I hopped over from the "Remember when Disney channel had.." thread) Plus, we can share some more fond memories here! :)

Just posted on FB. I hope they do show some of the old material. I think the shows with Walt would be great to watch again. Disney knows there are adult fans - look at D23.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who misses the old Disney Channel!

Just "liked" the group on Facebook :thumbsup2

I'm only 19 but I'm totally with you, if Cartoon Network can have Boomerang and Nick even has a retro station I don't see why there can't be a throwback Disney one. I remember staying up late when I was younger and catching The Ink and Paint Club and Zorro and stuff. Good times.

:welcome: everybody!! :) Just posted a link to the Facebook page to make everybody smile. So excited to see this list growing!! :cheer2: :cool1: :yay:

Posted another one to the Facebook page wall this afternoon; hope others find it as amusing as I do! :lmao:

You're my hero!! Thanks so much for following through with this! :goodvibes

I just read that soapnet channel is going to be turned into a pre-school Playhouse Disney type of 24 hr channel. Maybe there is a chance for a vintage channel after all. The new channel is targeted to 2-7 yrs and if they move the tween shows (Hannah/Jonas/etc..) to current Disney XD, we may get our wish. Anyone for popcorn??

We can only hope!!!! :)

Our Facebook page has 78 fans so far!!! :goodvibes Let's keep it up!

I would LOVE it if that happened! I know they have to keep the tween shows somewhere (Disney is, after all, a business...), but I'd be overjoyed if there really were a vintage Disney channel...

I miss the old cartoons and shows. Back in 05 I remember watching the old cartoons on the TV in the ASP resort but since than I have not seen this. I haven't stayed there again. I just wanted to know is this channel offered only at the value resorts or have they since gotten rid of it?

I just liked the facebook page. I really hope this happens someday. I'm still mad they don't have the vintage cartoon channel at the resorts anymore.

Are you not happy with the Disney Channel's current aim to be the launching pad for once-cute tweens looking to eventually flaunt their sexuality more overtly through magazine pictorials, shocking concert performances and leaked cell phone photos? :confused3

I don't think I've put on the Disney Channel in 20 years. I just don't know why they can't use it as a better cross-promotional tool for their movies and theme parks, like in the old days. But with the old head of the channel inexplicably running the movies division, I have a hard time believing that will ever change.

Another vintage Disney fan here. Like the new stuff, but love the vintage, Walt inspired stuff better. Going to FB to join up!

I definitely miss the Disney Afternoon and the DCOMs from when I was younger. Plus, I would love if they started showing the World of Color again (they used to have it on around 9 -10:00 pm on the weekends.)
