Budget Winnie the Pooh Artwork/Pictures

I figure if ANYONE can help me, it's my fellow budget boarders!!

My husband & I are expecting our first baby late this fall, and we're decorating the nursery in Winnie the Pooh (Disney, of course). We don't want to paint, but I'd LOVE to find a really cute framed picture or piece of artwork (preferably Pooh & friends of course). I don't really want to spend hundreds of dollars. So far, I've run out of luck -- all I'm finding are the typical posters you can find for a few dollars at Walmart & put in a poster frame. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I know KMart sells quite a bit of Pooh themed baby stuff so you might find a cute framed print there. I think they also sell the wall decals that are removable.

A couple of ideas:

I took Hallmark cards, the original-Pooh type, and framed them. I bought frames at the dollar store and painted them a colonial blue. They are very cute.

Kmart used to sell the 12" x 30" poster that had three pictures of Pooh and Piglet and said "It's so much friendlier with two." You might check Pier 1, Kmart, Target, etc. to see if you can find inexpensive framed posters.

Another idea: make photocopies of illustrations from The World Of Pooh and Now We are Six. Have them copies onto antique yellow acid-free paper. Buy a large frame and a mat that holds 4 3" x 5" photos. Put one photocopy in each opening. I have a wonderful picture done this way that is actually hand-drawn photos. A friend bought it in England. You might be able to use a light table and trace the photos to have this effect.

Finally, a friend used watercolor paper, photocopied a picture of Kanga and Roo onto it (on the left side) then traced off the letters in my older son's name. She then used watercolors to paint in the picture and letters...and framed in it an inexpensive frame. It's very cool...something unique to my son.

If you are able to find some inexpensive frames in the correct size, purchase a Pooh calendar with a picture for each month. One calendar = 12 pictures! Two calendars = 24 pictures! Hang them in mass for a wonderful effect.

You can buy poster prints of Ellenshaw (dad and son) artwork. Its classic Pooh. There are bunch of them and they are really nice. They are maybe $30ish dollars and then you can frame them. We're TTC and plan on using classic Pooh as our theme.

I found a puzzle at the second hand store that was one of those photomosaic ones with mini pictures inside each piece. I paid about $1 for it and put it together and then used mod podge on it to keep it together. I then framed it.

I agree with all of the posters that said "make your own"! My DD's nursery was Pooh and I purchased a Winnie-the-book, cut out the pictures that I liked, and bought separate matching mats, and then cheaper frames from Michaels. I sold them for $5.00 each at a rummage sale.

If you can get your hands on an overhead projector cheap or free (freecycle, borrow from church or school) you can make your own mural. project the image you want on the wall and trace.

Years ago I put together one of those, it was a Mickey one. Then I bought a multicolored children's table at IKEA and put it on the table top. I had a piece of glass cut to the size of the table top and overlaid it on the puzzle. It is sooooo cool looking! My kids have outgrown the table, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

When my DD was little, we found WTP wall borders at Babies R Us that were great!...self adhesive, and the classic art...not primary colors. It was reasonably priced, and worked great to separate top and bottom wall colors!
