Okay so I know it's embarrassing the photographer of the group is so "technology challenged" and can't work out Photobucket.

Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to use it so that I can upload photos on here from time to time.

Pretty please with cherries on top:love:

I joined ages ago but recently they have been changing things up!
sigh...always the way.

But basically...you join :)
Then there are tabs
You can click on 'recent activity' 'Albums' 'recent uploads' etc

So go to Albums.
Go create new album
Then once you have the new album you can click 'upload images and videos'
This should open a pop up where you select your files (like when you attach a file to an email.)

There is a bulk uploader as well but I usually just upload things all in the same folder and you can just hit shift and select a batch or hit control to select multiples individually.

Does this make sense?

You don't HAVE to create an album...but it makes life easier. I have things scattered all over the place :rotfl:

Also then if you want to put it into a post go to the album with the photos
(there must be an image in there :rotfl: )

And then hover your mouse over it
A little drop down thing should come up.
You want the IMG code :thumbsup2
Highlight it and hit copy.

Should look like this
[ IMG ] http: //img.photobucket.com /albums/v229/queenamidala82/Tokyo%20Dreamlights/DSC00049. jpg [/ IMG ]

Then hit paste.

Alternatively click on the photo so it becomes the only one on the screen and then they are on the left side of the page

For when you want the image to show up there must be NO spaces in the code (as I have above)

and voila!

Hi Queenie, thanks for those instructions. I'm nearly ready to give it a try. Just one more question if that's okay:-

Do you upload full size images or should they be resized for web?

Great question.
The free account is a limited size. (I haven't reached it yet but I'm sure I will eventually) so I generally limit the size to a 15" screen. Sometimes a 17"

You are perfectly able to load higher res images but you will obviously use the space more quickly.

CSo you don't have to change the file size before you upload you can get photobucket to change it for you.
On the main page click on more options under the big upload button.

and you get this screen

Woooohooooo, it worked. Thanks Queenie for all of the detailed info and thanks PrincessinOz, I watched the tutorial as well and wish I had've found it before I had to bother people :lmao:.

I am going to be an uploading fool now :rotfl2:
