What do I need to know

We're taking our 8 month old DD to Disney with us because I refuse to break my every 4 years tradition. What do I need to know, do, not do, bring, etc. to make sure the trip is enjoyable for her as well as my 6yr old DD, as well as easier on my and DBF

We're going for Thanksgiving.

Also, how easy will it be to find a microwave to heat up the jarred baby food if I'm in a park? Do they have them at the baby care centers?

1. Rider swap so you and DBF can do the "big" rides use FP at the same time. While one is on the ride make sure the other waits in a nice spot. If with 6yo maybe by water to watch ducks or by a show, somthing to pass the time.

2. Hats and sunscreen so baby doesn't get burnt.

3. If you went with DD 4 years ago you'll know there are a lot of rides you can all do together.

4. Bring a change of clothes and a way to keep baby dry from rain so when you go out you don't need to go back early.

5. 6yo can walk fine but a lot of people will suggest a double stroller.

Thanks! We are taking 2 strollers, DD2's big Graco for the basket and DD1's old umbrella. I can't imagine the causalities if I pushed a double stroller

We just got back from a trip with our 10 mo. baby care centers have microwaves and a room with high chairs where you can feed your little one. I used a backpack instead of a diaper bag, but I also used gallon sized bags so I wasn't digging through the pack all the time for whatever I needed. I had a bag for diapering (wipes, diapers, cream, etc), a feeding bag (baby food, spoons, bibs, table toppers, snacks) and a change of clothes bag. It made it so much easier. I nursed so I didn't need bottles or formula.

My little one is very active so we didn't make it through many of the longer shows (lion king, beauty adn the beast, nemo). We had an "exit strategy" for the longer shows in case she flipped out, where one would take her out and the other would stay and watch the show with our 3 yo.

Great info! We are leaving soon and have an 8 month old and a 3 yr old. I am still BFing too-with the very rare formula. My little guy 'needs' to eat his puree's-he is like a clock. So I will be sure to remember that there are high chairs in the baby care centres. Love the idea to have some Ziplocs of items.

So I will be sure to remember that there are high chairs in the baby care centres. Love the idea to have some Ziplocs of items.

They also have a tv area where they show disney cartoons. My 3 yo liked to sit and chill there for a bit while we tended to the baby.

Some really good advice when you take a stroller. Park them only in the designated spots. Try to line them up. The CMs will move them if you don't and they may move it far from where you left it.
