For those folks that remember a couple of weeks back I posted that I was concerned about doing Paul's Esta application as we'd had trouble previously doing advance check-in as his name is on the US watch list ...... Paul Davis ..... go figure :confused: Anyway I've just done the whole family and all our applications just sailed through :dance3::dance3:

Fantastic news :cheer2: I'm sure you'll have a great holiday. I know when I did ESTA last year, I breathed a sigh of relief when it was done.

Is ESTA the thing i filled in on the virgin altalntic website with all our details ????????

Sorry to jump in on your post.

Great news guys! I still need to do mine - printer is shot so better make sure that is working first :rolleyes1

Hi Diddldonna,
No, what you did is probably the APIS. That is to do with the airline and the info they need to pass on for their passengers for each flight.

ESTA is the new online visa waiver application process and is mandatory. There is a sticky on the top of the UK trip planning page with loads of info about it. If you come unstuck, just ask whatever you need to know. :goodvibes

Thanks so much for this info i wouldn't even of known this, we have been to the USA 3 times and havent had to do this before so wouldn't have known unless this post came up. I will do this in the next couple of days then and also tell my sister who is going a month after us. You would have thought when booking a holiday through virgin they would mention this.

I'm surprised Virgin didn't have anything about this printed in your documentation. I know the back of their brochures have info on it (yes, I always read all the small print :rotfl:). You wouldn't have done it before if you haven't been since before January last year, I forget the exact date. So it is relatively new.
