Little Known Details About WDW Attractions

Okay, so I started a new thread in Attractions and Strategies but I think it might fit better under this Tips/Secrets thread...

Anyway, I am curious to see how many of us know or have found out neat little details about the various attractions and their queues at WDW.

For example, on my last trip to Disney World when I was in the fast pass line for Expedition Everest, I was looking at the pictures of the people that are supposed to be your field team/guides in the last "room" before boarding. Upon looking very close, I realized one picture (somewhere in the middle of the row of pictures) had a picture of some guys and one of them was wearing a CBS news hat!

I was kinda surprised, considering Disney owns ABC! I wonder if anyone has ever noticed this or how CBS would take it? And how did they get the rights for the picture? Surely they didn't stage it that way?!?!?!? Anyway, I thought it was funny considering the circumstances.

Any other little details someone's noticed? I guess it would take some of us hardcore DISers to recognize these kinds of things

In splash just a little before the lift hill to the big drop is a weasel. It periodically pops down from the ceiling and says "GO FSU!"

On one of our last trips to WDW, we were waiting in line just as MS-orange line closed down. We were waiting by CM's, so we asked about the closing. They said that someone usually gets sick at least once a day. If the sick person doesn't get to the motion sickness bag in time to contain the mess, anyone who gets dirty is provided grey shorts and an orange t-shirt. After we learned that, we were on the look out for such a clothing combination.

DId you happen to be wearing grey shorts and an orange shirt? :scared:

I was speaking with CM in the petting zoo/vet section of Animal Kingdom and I asked how they get all the animals back to their living quarters at the end of the day. He asked if I had a dog. I do. He asked if that dog comes every time he hears the cookie jar open. That sure he does. He said "EXACTLY". He said that each species has there own sound they play over loud speaker that they know to come back to their living quarters area because its feed time. He said it is amazing tho, every day at 5PM, you will be amazed to find most of the animals just waiting at the gate before the sound even goes off. Thought this was pretty cool. popcorn::

yep.............we had one of the last safaris of the day and the animals were gathering around an exit. They knew it was dinner time!
