I'm really bummed about IASW too. I know a lot of people don't like the song and all that, but it doesn't feel like Disney without riding it. I actually exit the ride with the biggest smile on my face! I love it!

I think that the closing of TSMM in Aug/Sept is an actual refurb. I read they are changing a game when TS3 comes out, but that doesn't take that long. Bo Peep's dart game will now be run by Rex and Trixie (the new dino). I read that another new toy will be added to the prize screen at the end as well. Those are only graphics and can be done rather quickly. At least TSMM will be open while I'm on my trip. It's one of our favs!

We left the day before you got there! We were at Disney 5/7-14, 2005!

This trip will be soooo much better even with all of the chaos of the group because you will be focusing on Lilian and her reactions! Make sure you bring some tissues, you will tear up at the fun she is having!

Haha film. When we went on our honeymoon in Jan 06 we took a film camera too...it seems like that is such an "old fashioned" thing to do but it was just a few years ago!

I love reminiscing about old trips. Can't wait to see more!

I am bummed that IASW will be closed. Ashlyn LOVES it. But at least she's too young to remember that she loved it so she won't miss it. She's starting to get to that age where she is starting to really be attached to stuff, though. Just this past week she's developed a few obsessions. She carries around her stuffed baby Simba (that we got her when we went to WDW in October 2009) absolutely everywhere and she has developed a strong love for Mickey (she just says "Mi-ey") and Minnie ("Mimi").

Definitely a great place of the atmosphere! I think I must be in the minority but I was not impressed with the food BUT it was five years ago. Part of it may have been what I ate that day.

Well, it's not technically MY first trip. I was in MK for a day on my Senior Trip in '93 (yep, I'm that old, lol). We didn't have touring plans or anything like that so we just kind of wandered around and we left when it was still light outside. The things I remember doing:

-Space Mountain (I actually remember being in line for this one more than I remember the ride.)
-Peter Pan
-Splash Mountain (Which I LOVED!!)
-Toontown
-A show in Toontown that had characters from Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, and Rescue Rangers
-Waiting in a LONG line so my friend could meet Mickey
-IASW- and I didn't like it! I thought it was cute at first but after a while everything started to look the same and it was just sensory overload.

That's it, that's all I remember. No one else in my family has ever been to Disney and I don't think that's enough to count so I count this as my first trip too.

I absolutely LOVE the pics from your '05 trip. It's so cool when you can incorporate memories from other trips into your planning.

I agree Meghan! It makes me happy too. I read they were adding TSM features into the ride, so I hope it goes smoothly. Should be fine for our trips!

Kathy already told you, but you will be able to ride TSM with no issues (hopefully). They are adding TS3 features from what I had read about it.

I am excited to take the pictures! But then again, I LOVE taking pictures.

I had a journal though my DH laughs at me because I can remember what we ate at Coral Reef without help from the journal. I am pretty sure I am going to take the same journal with me on this next trip because it is such a great size. I hope I am better at jotting notes down on this next trip than the first one. Great!! I am so glad you are enjoying it. Film does seem ages ago, but it was not so far away. I had though about getting DD the disposable film cameras to take on the trip but they are starting to phase them out so they might be hard to find. Plus, she is spoiled because she loves looking at the pictures right away--the whole instant gratification thing.

I do have pictures but they were taken with a film camera and I don't have a scanner. I might try to do pictures of some pictures and upload them on my PTR.
