List of buffet restaurants?

Hi.

I am on the verge of booking for August 2011, taking advantage of free dining. Since desserts are no longer going to be included on the 2011 Dining Plan, I figured we would eat at as many buffets as possible (we have big appetites).

Would anyone be able to give me a definitive list of all the buffets on WDW property?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You asked specifically about buffets, so I have not included the all you can eat, preplated family style restaurants, which also include dessert. I have also not included places that don't accept the dining plan.

MK
Crystal Palace

Epcot
Biergarten

DHS
Hollywood & Vine

AK
Tusker House

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Boma

Beach Club
Cape May Cafe

Contemporary
Chef Mickey's

Fort Wilderness
Trail's End

Grand Floridian
1900 Park Fare

That's a great help, thank you so much.

You mention other all you can eat restaurants, pre-plated. Could you tell me about those (if they are on the Dining Plan, of course).

Thanks again.

Hi.
Since desserts are no longer going to be included on the 2011 Dining Plan, I figured we would eat at as many buffets as possible (we have big appetites).

Just curious, will desserts continue to be included in the family style restaurants?

EDIT: oops, we must have been typing at th same time ;)

Okay...should have known you would want them

MK
Cinderella's Royal Table (fixed price)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner only)

Epcot
Garden Grill
Akershus (fixed price)
Keep an eye out for the Le Cellier and Chefs de France fixed price menu. Unknown how they will be affected if neither appetizer nor dessert is included in the dining plan.

Polynesian
'Ohana (breakfast and dinner)

Wilderness Lodge
Whispering Canyon Cafe (if you order the all you can eat skillet, you can have all you can eat of the entree offerings. I do not believe it includes dessert though)

Plus the three dinner shows - Hoop de Doo Revue, Spirit of Aloha and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue

I also neglected to mention the buffet breakfast at Captain's Grille (Yacht Club)

Just curious, will desserts continue to be included in the family style restaurants?

We can't know that yet, but it's most likely, as the dessert is on the fixed menu and included in the price of the meal. Unless they decide to remove the desserts from those menus entirely - you can never know what Disney will do.

And also, I believe there are some 1TS credit restaurants which do a set 3 course meal, which can also be ordered on the dining plan (Le Cellier, maybe?)

I mentioned those. However, there is no guarantee they will be offered on a dining plan that does not include either appetizer or dessert.

Where did you hear about the desserts not being on the dining plan next year and also are you assuming there will be free dining next year or do you have a code for free dining next year

British guests (the OP is British) are booking free dining packages for 2011 (at this time they are being offered ONLY to British guests) and are being notified that the dining plans are changing for 2011. None of the plans will include dessert at any meal according to the information given by British travel companies.

US package details will not be released until August but as the other thread on the subject points out, US guests should prepare for the possibility that desserts will be eliminated.

A good site to check out for restaurants is allears.net. They list whats on the menus or buffets at the different restaurants and resorts.:thumbsup2
