May Med Magic - May 15 2010 - Meet thread - Part 2

Just finished a very long 12 hour shift. Am very very excited about leaving tomorrow. DH will work until 230ish, I will finish last minute details. I'm soooooo excited!!!!!! For the first time in about a week the flights from Boston to Munich are on time, and we should make our connecting flight from Munich to Barcelona, arriving at 120pm. I hope you are all having a great time in Barcelona. I feel like I'm the only one who didn't fly out early, but that just wasn't an option. We've never traveled this far from home, this is truley the trip of a life time. I will miss all of you after this trip is complete. I'm bringing my laptap with me to email relatives and will check in to see how everyone is doing.

It's truley been an enjoyable experience reading all of your posts.

Hopeing everyone gets on the ship and has a magical vacation!

SSOOOOOOOOOO jealous of all of you that are already there. Wish we could be there, but alas we won't be until about 1200 tomorrow.

But at least it is just a day away. I really don't want to go to work today. Hopefully my boss will let me go early today.

Glad you got there safe...the forecast is showers today but should be around 19 tomorrow with showers again. On a good note Malta looks set to be dry and warm

We're currently at Stansted airport waiting for our 1805 flight to Barcelona. Flights seem to be running smoothly today and we expect to touch down in Barcelona after 9pm. Glad to hear everyone else is either in Barca or enroute.

Hey everybody. Happy to hear that lots of people are arriving without to much difficulty.
I'm still a little worried about our flight. It's due to leave Boston @ 2020. The same flight that took off last night was 2 hours late this morning. If that was our flight we would have missed out connecting flight from Munich to Barcelona. Called Disney this AM and they called Lufthansa, who stated that everthing was ontime so far. aaaaack! I don't need the head ache. The bright side is that even if we miss the connection, there is another flight that we should be able to catch that would get us in Barcelona at 1530, a little late for my taste, but Disney assured me that if that was the case there would be no problem. The only reason they want people on board by 4pm is to be present at the lifeboat drill. I'm not sure what will happen if we miss it. But we should still be able to see the entertainment and have diner.

The adventure begins in approx 3 hours when we leave for the airport

Hope all of you who are meeting at the fountain tonight have a great time, I'll be flighing over to meet you all on the ship.

I made it in a few hours ago. I am just so tired it is unbelievable. I wasnt able to sleep on the flight so when I got into the hotel (Eurostar) I was beat. I should be at the meeting tonite in the Eurostar lobby to head out. I'll cya guys then.

Flights worked out well, on time and little turbulence. The rain has stopped and we are looking forward to meeting everyone.

We did our check in, got our KTTW and are all set to go straight to security and board. We are to leave the hotel at 11:30 and should be at the terminal around noon. Sunny for the next 2 days so our sea day should be PERFECT ! !

We are here. Our flight was delayed but apparently that was because the plane was late leaving barcelona this morning so got to Heathrow late. It was late leaving bacrelona because a big road accident prevented the crew getting to the airport.

Weather is cloudy and grey but no rain since we got here. Temp was cool but not cold (17oC at around 6pm).

Just getting a bite to eat so can't make fountains.

tripodjw - I think we were on the same flight as you. If it wouldn't have been delayed we would have missed it. Security at T3 was a nightmare. And the first leg of our trip arrived early.

Sorry we didn't attempt to go the fountains tonight. The 30 hours of traveling caught up to us. But all bright eyed for tomorrow. Hoping to be at port by 11!

Only 1 more sleep until our first night of Magic - thank you Jesus for all the gifts you give us.

We did 't get there until 8:45 but did find ICollectBelle &her family, rashdecision & his family, gg.leigh, pinmeister (Frank & Nancy). Sayhello met us in las rambla for dinner and rode the metro with us. It was a neat show. The third show was Disney themed.

We are here and have been since about 3pm Thursday. But, we misconnected with Iberia in Madrid, and our bags have still not arrived. Thankfully, it´s mainly toiletries and shoes, but the communication has been horrible, and yesterday was miserable with such chaos and no sleep.

We managed to get up and out and enjoy our day today, and we were told this morning that our baggage had arrived and would be delivered by 8pm. Still no bags. New story is bags were with courier at 9pm to delivered overnight. STRESSFUL! We did not purchases the necessary shoes today in hopes of having our bags.

We missed the fountain after hearing at about 8pm that the bags had not arrived. Bummed...so we went and had dinner. If the bags do not arrive overnight, we will be shopping in the morning before boarding.
