National Lampoon's Fun w/Dis Friends 2010!! ~ DAY 7-Final :( 6/27

When I left off we were headed over to Animal Kingdom!! We actually went to this park a few times this trip and since my pictures are all mixed up now, I will ATTEMPT to figure out what we did this day.

I believe we started off by heading straight for DINOSAUR!! DS said he wanted to brave Dinosaur this trip. DH and I figured he would back out of that statement once we were at WDW but he didn't. On the way to AK he said that today was his day to ride it for the first time. So off we went!! The line was sort of long but we decided to do stand by. I'm not sure why other than the fact that we thought that if we get in line then maybe DS wouldn't back out. Here are a few pics from our wait in line.....

Nervous but eager!!

After a while we decided to skip the stand by line and get a fastpass for later. The line just wasn't moving AT ALL. So, away we went.....grabbed a fast pass then headed over to Expedition Everest so DH and I could do the single rider line. The ride itself was great except for the part I mentioned previously to Dan about getting run over by some brazilians on the way off the ride.

After this we played around in Dinoland, then it was time for Dinosaur!! We get there and.......it's broken. They told us that if it's still broken by closing time that they would accept our fastpasses tomorrow. Ok, cool!! It was around 2 or 3 by this time. We decided to head over to ride the Safari ride. Surprisingly, there were a few animals out that I got pictures of that I've never gotten before. Such as the ostrich(sp?)......

And THE LION WAS OUT!!!! The guide got everyone so excited and our cameras were out and ready when we rounded the corner and, well......I took this picture especially for Jordan!!!

After we left the Safari, it was almost time for the parade. We've never seen the Jammin' Jungle parade before. We keep hearing that it is top notch but we weren't sure if we wanted to endure ANOTHER parade and on the same day no less. Well, as we are walking along, we cross a bridge and there is rope with a small space on the other side. I asked the CM if we could watch from there and she said yes. It seemed like a good spot where people couldn't really crowd you too much so we snagged it and sat right against the rope. I will tell you......THIS WAS THE BEST PARADE EVER!!!! We loved it and only had kind people with small kids on either side of us. It was heaven. Here are pic's from that parade. I will post some video at the end of this update too!

Here are some photopass pictures that we took on this day. The first photographer we had wasn't that great. He wouldn't wait for the other people to leave before taking our picture so we have them in our pics. However, the 2nd one we ran into later in the day was awesome!

After the parade, it was park closing time.....or so we thought. We followed the parade out and left the park. By using the new Disney Mobile Magic on our cell phones, we could see that Dinosaur was still not working. We thought we could use the fastpasses the next day like we were told. WRONG!!! What I didn't realize was that they had added evening magic hours to AK that day and they ended up getting Dinosaur up and running before close. So our fastpasses the next day were no good.....according to a very stern older CM lady they next morning. So we started all over again the next day.

Up next......dinner at O'hana!! O'hana means "Family".

Sorry things didn't work out for Dinosaur. Danielle has gotten to were she doesn't keep her eyes closed the entire time she's on it.

That's one rare Lion pictures. I finally see a picture where he's not sleeping and he's doing his "business".

We really enjoyed the parade too, it's so colorful.

Loved the photo pass pictures, looks like you had to drop some cash at the dinoland games too. DH and the girls are such suckers for them.

OH MY GOSH! Duty calls, even for the king of the jungle. That is too funny! I guess I won't complain about always seeing him sleeping.

I will tell you......THIS WAS THE BEST PARADE EVER!!!! We loved it and only had kind people with small kids on either side of us. It was heaven.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked the AK parade and had an enjoyable time. It's been a while since I've seen the AK parade, but I agree, I think it's one of the best.

I especially like these two.

I got the free trial on this for a day, but I checked it out and thought it probably wasn't worth it if you know your way around, already have ADRs, etc. etc. What did you think, since you actually used it at the parks?

We thought we could use the fastpasses the next day like we were told. WRONG!!! I got mobile magic in Dec and I LOVED it. Being a crowded time( NYE) , I could tell if there were fastpasses left and when the return time was. Saved me time from running from kiosk to kiosk to check. While we ate or waited in line I already had my plan of attack for the next ride and fastpass.
My favorite thing was while pulling in on the bus, as soon as the park music came on I could log in and find out wait times and fastpass times before we even got off the bus.

I had to bring my DS's phone because MM was not supported on mine. Luckily in Sept he is going with me so I can use his phone again.

Thanks! I like that one too. Yeah,the 2nd guy was waaay better. Better at picture taking AND a better personality. He had fun and made sure we did too.

UGH!!! Those darn dinoland games try to suck your wallet dry. I'm always saying "we are NOT spending extra money on these" while ds is batting his eyes at me and I'm pulling money out anyway.

That parade ROCKED and our spot and people around us really made up for the crud that happened that morning at the other parade.
I especially like these two.

Was that for the one that anyone can use or the one that is only on Verizon phones? We did the new one that is on Verizon and it was about $9.95. I can't remember how long you have it for.....30 days maybe. I need to go check because if it's for something like 6 months then we won't have to pay again in June! Anyway, this particular ap works VERY well. You won't see the full extent of it until you arrive at the park. It refreshes the times for everything constantly. There was never a time where we found it to be wrong. So, we could check the dinosaur ride while we were at the safari ride on the other side of the park. That's how we knew it wouldn't be worth it to walk allllll the way back to the opposite side of the park. It really saves time and sanity!

Yeah, it kind of stunk! She was sort of a "meanie". Kind of grouchy. Scolded me like a kid, she did. She kind of made me want to act like a kid and stick my tongue out at her. Hmmm, maybe I should have?

I really have no idea. My brain! I think it's turning to mush. 5 more "regular" days left of school, then Monday is the last "full" day of school but I will be there with popsicles and a "welcome to summer" gift for every kid in the class. I THOUGHT it was a cute idea. Then I THOUGHT it would be even cuter if we put all the little goodies (bubbles, mini water guns, etc) in beach pails rather than gift bags. My wonderful THOUGHTS now have me bringing 25 buckets full-o-crap up to the school on Monday....plus, popsicles. Hopefully I will find another parent to help me because DH may not be able to get out of work early. Should be interesting. THEN.... on Tuesday is his "stepping up" program, which is when they get their certificate from Kindergarten, then there is a reception with tons of food which I THOUGHT was a good idea to put my name on as chair person.

AHHHH, Sweet Wednesday the 19th!! We will officially be on "summer break". I can't wait to get out of here for our WDW trip.
