It's my first day back at work after our combo WDW & Disney Wonder cruise and oh what a drag it is. I know there's only one cure for this depression, but we haven't booked our next cruise yet.... :sad1:

LOL!!! We all know that feeling!!! Thats why I have 2 cruises booked, Oct 30, 2010 Magic, and Nov 6, 2011 Dream!!

I would never be able to be on the disboards if I did not have a trip to anticipate!!!:cool1:

Yep, that was the hard part.

But I cured my new found love of crusing with another cruise...then another one and then another one all one year.:rotfl: I guess it's not working.:lmao:

I'm still getting over it and we've been back for almost 3 weeks, plus we did book another cruise. A 7 night Western for Nov 2011. Do you know how far away that is!!!

I'm getting through it by hanging out here! :grouphug:

It helps tremendously to not get off the ship without the next one booked...even if it's a dummy, it's like promising yourself that you WILL be back!

It is my personal opinion that you should always have a cruise or 2 or 3 waiting in the wings. :thumbsup2 You should always book something onboard! You can move it any number of times until you get the perfect date for your family. And you keep the discount and OBC! If it never works out, you can always cancel it of you're not in the penalty period yet. The only downside is they have your deposit...

I booked two future cruises on my first Disney cruise, and then eventually cancelled both. When I went on my 2nd Disney cruise in December (without the 10% discount or OBC), I rebooked the Feb. 2011 WDW Radio cruise that I had previously booked a month earlier, and was able to get the discount and OBC.

I always have a future trip in the works. In addition to my Disney Dream cruise in 2011, I have two cruises to look forward to in 2010 on Princess and RCI, and two cruises in 2011 on HAL and Celebrity. I also added time at WDW onto the Dec. and Feb. cruises, and plan to spend a week at WDW in April 2011 for my birthday - before my AP expires. :woohoo:

I haven't gone on my first cruise yet and I am already thinking of going again Christmas 2011 (the first 2 weeks of December to avoid the rush but still get the Christmas magic!). My mom thinks I am nuts.

We took our first cruise in February. DH went into this thing kicking and screaming about the expense, mouse overload, etc. It was a 3 night cruise. On our 2nd night he was the one to suggest we book with the onboard discount for our next cruise the following year. After 25 years he never ceases to surprise me. He and DS have pretty much put next year's cruise out of their minds but I feel like it's my secret little friend.

Does anyone know when the decorations get put up?

LOL!!! Great analogy! Like throwing a coin in the Trevi Fountain in Rome!

I don't know about it but I was assuming it would be like everyone else in this country and put them up right after Thanksgiving (or even before then!) But again, I don't know for certain :teeth:

the decorations have usually been up for thanksgiving. In December DCL adds a gingerbread house making activity.

I am feeling your pain! I pretty much am working to go to Disney/DCL at all times - LOL. Can't wait for our Feb 2011 Dream/WDW trip - its what gets me through the long hours at work!.

Do you guys put down deposit for everyone when you book onboard? If not are you able to add people and get the discount?

I totally get that feeling!!! After our 2006 Wonder/WDW trip, I was constantly reliving the whole thing---3 weeks ago we were here, or this was the day we did this. Never knew what PCD was, but I sure had it :).
