Are Pooh and Tigger at the Disney 1900 Park Fare Breakfast?

Simply, put. Are Pooh and Tigger at the Disney 1900 Park Fare Breakfast?

With a little more detail. On the last day of our November trip, we went to the character breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. It was a good way to end our vacation. We went to breakfast, met Mickey and then spent half a day at the Magic Kingdom before catching our six o’clock flight.

We were planning to do the same this coming November. However, my sister mentioned that Pooh and Tigger are at the 1900 Park Fare Breakfast. For us, this would make the 1900 Park Fare more desirable. My daughter is all about Pooh. If she had her way, she would watch Pooh every single day. That is not an exaggeration! My son with vouch for me, she always wants to watch Pooh.

If I go to the official Disney web page for 1900 Park Fare, it does not mention Pooh and Tigger. It talks about Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and other Wonderland friends. However, I did read a couple of reviews on the Internet where Pooh and Tigger were there for the character breakfast.

Does anyone have any information on this? Were Pooh and Tigger there for your breakfast? Are they there sometimes, but not always?

I believe that they are typically at Crystal Palace. CP was under refurbishment part of last year, so the characters were relocated (I think they breakfasted at 1900 Park Fare and had lunch and dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern). Now they are back at Crystal Palace for B, L, and D. I don't think they still visit 1900 Park Fare, but I could be wrong...

I had breakfast at the 1900 Park on Friday (the 7th) and Pooh and Tigger are still there! I got my pictures taken with them. Pooh was so sweet and sat on my lap. Alice, Mary Poppins and the Mad Hatter are also there. We had a wonderful time and the food was really good.

They've been at 1900 Park Fare for years. We've eaten at that restaurant for breakfast more times than I can count, and have had Pooh and Tigger for at least the past 4 years, if not more. I can assure you they are there, as I just ate breakfast with them in March.

Yes they were there 2 weeks ago. Alice and Mary poppins were fun to even to two adults.

When we were there it was Pooh, Tigger, Alice, Mary Poppins and the Mad Hatter.

The Mad Hatter was hilarious. There was a group next to ours with only half of the party at the table and the rest were at the buffet. The Mad Hatter got the names of the errant diners and stood on a chair hollering out their names and asking them to return. My kids were laughing so hard.

Such a strange combination of characters there. Why would Alice and the Mad Hatter be at the same restaurant as Tigger and Pooh? And where does Mary Poppins fit into the equation? I know the original poster's question has been answered, but now I'm curious! It just seems like an unusual mixture.

I suspec it's a Brittish theme. They're all from English literature based movies.

You have to draw the line somewhere...you can't have all characters there. Pooh and Tigger are more popular than Peter and Wendy. That's a neat idea, but there are all kinds of other characters on the same level of Peter and Wendy, who are not at character meals either.

At one time, Chip and Dale were at 1900 Park Fare as well, and I can't remember if it was with Alice and Tigger and Pooh, and Mary Poppins came later?

Besides Pooh and Tigger, going to 1900 is an opportunity to try something different. I have noticed that the reviews tend to favor 1900 a little more than Chef Mickey’s. We’ll see if that is true for us.

I’ll have to rent Mary Poppins before the trip so my children can see the movie. They saw Mary Poppins at Epcot last November and had no idea who she was. Mary Poppins just doesn’t have the instant recognition with little kids that she use to.

What a jolly time you'll have watching it too. Mary Poppins is one of my favorites! We saw the broadway touring production when it came last Fall and it was a pure delight! If you ever get the opportunity, I highly reccomend it. (and ask her if she knows a man with a leg named Smith)

I suppose you could add to the list ad infinitum as there have been so many wonderful Disney films, but I was simply drawing the connection between the current character list and what they had in common to explain the idea of them appearing together.

I'm not arguing Peter and Wendy should replace Pooh and Tiger at 1900 Park Fare, but I'm not completely convinced the character lineup is based on nationality.

I suppose there is an argument for that. The newer ones, in particular the television series, are decidedly removed from the roots, but I'm old. I remember Christopher Robin with the accent and Pooh getting stuck in Rabbit's door and playing Pooh Sticks.. ~shrug~

We will have to agree to disagree - I'm an English teacher, so I know that most people around here in my Canadian city, view the Pooh characters as British. Could be a regional thing? I, and many others totally get the connection - if not, I highly doubt it would be so popular. Not to mention the fact that the Pooh and friends meet and greet at Epcot is in England.

I agree that Disney could step up with more male characters, as that seems to be wanted by so many families.
