My fiance and I were discussing what we should do the first night of our honeymoon. We are taking a later flight out of PHL and don't plan on doing the parks that day anyway. I've heard some mix reviews about Spirit of Aloha and would like some peoples imput. We are doing the dining plan. Is it worth the 2 dining credits?

not sure if its worth the two credits, cus when you book you're stuck with cat 3. but i have to say we did it with a 2 and 4 yr old and we all loved it! i was very worried so we stopped to get toys first! lol it's broken up so you can watch then eat and wont miss much while eating. we really enjoyed it and will be booking it when we go back next year. oh and one plus, when i picked up my tix for it at wl, i said to the cm we got the least expensive. meaning cat three. when she printed them off, we were in cat 2, and had floor level seats and were rite across from the stage. a pc of disney magic i suppose!

I read somewhere that when use are using the DP, that you get either 2 or 3. Hoping for 2. Are there tables for just 2 people or do you sit with other families? We are going to stay at Caribbean Beach (which is where I use to work). Do I pick the tickets up there or can we get them right at the Poly?

cat three for the ddp. ill keep my fingies crossed for you. the tables i believe are for four or larger. we only took up one table, but they are placed very close together. they'll call you the day before to say you can pick up the tix at conciege. it says to arrie half an hr early, i would say more like 15 mins, cus then they take your pic and cram you into a wait area with about 150 other people. talk abotu hot! lol then they heard you down the ramp and eventually open it sending a cm with your group to seat you.

We also did it on dp and got cat 2 seating. We greatly enjoyed the show and considered it worth the 2 credits. The show storyline is a little silly, but the costumes/dancing/fire-juggling guy made it absolutely worth it. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was great. I have to agree with pp though, don't arrive too early. There's nowhere to sit while you wait and although the dining area is relatively cool, the waiting area is boiling.

We have done this 3 times. Once with the whole family (DW,DS(15),DS(13),Ds(9) and me) loved every minute of it. Went back the next time with Just DW and my parents. Loved it again. Both times, we did not use Dp as we paid for cat1 seating. Right up front enjoyed the food, and show. Not sure would have enjoyed it as much in the tables further back. Would recemend, but probably not on the DP.

oh and one more, try for the later show, as it would be dark. we did the early show for kids to eat on time. but the fire show would be soooo much cooler at nite!

We thought the food was O.K., the first part of the show a little corny but when they started really dancing it was beautiful. I highly recomend it, I've done it twice and plan on doing it again in the future. The desert is really cool.

We really enjoyed it! Yep like the PP poster said the story part is corny but the dancing is great and we loved the food too. It was worth the 2 credits to us. I think we also got free beer or wine too with the dinner. When we were there we learned we had a blizzard back home. We were fine with the seating. There was a small step up to our seating and we still were able to see everything.

Thanks everyone!!! I think we are going to book it. What time is the later show? We are taking a later flight, so that might be good for us. Is it before, during or after the fireworks or light parade on the lagoon. Was thinking of heading down to the beach to watch them either before or after dinner.
