First time going to Disney with the family and I am just so confused. I am currently in Iraq but not sure how to pre purchase the military discount tickets. I have military family members back where I live but not sure where the bases are to buy these tickets. Can anyone give me a resource with atleast some type of listing of the bases that do the Armed Forces Salute Program???? I am trying to have a good time for atleast 4 days with them but the tickets for regular price would probably break my camouflaged pockets haha. I am loving this website by the way!

I'm not sure there is an actual list of what bases sells the tickets. Where in the states do you live?

You can also get your tickets at The "Shades of Green" that is on Disney property when you get to Orlando. It is a a military owned resort.

Thank you for your service.

You don't need to prepurchase the tickets--you can get them at the park, Downtown Disney or Shades of Green. At SOG, you pay no tax. Also, the resorts offer 40% for military this year before Sept. 30th, and you CAN add the dining plan to a room only military reservation.

As an Army wife, I really appreciate your hard work, your sacrifice, and the sacrifice of your family! Enjoy Disney!

Try the MWR Office on your home base as well...some of them sell them, some of them don't!

Shades of green sells them so even if you don't stay there you can always stop by and buy them there.

Hey there. We are purchasing ours from Shades of Green.

Just in case you didnt know. Take a look at the Shades of Green for your hotel. Since you are deployed and part of OIF you get 20% off your room at SOG (which depending on your rank..which i wont ask...can be cheaper than disney's values...even on 40% off). Its works that way for us. You also get 20% off of your food purchases there. The info for it can be found here.....

The Shades of Green Resort is offering OEF/OIF U.S. Military and DoD Civilian a special Florida Vacation!

The Shades of Green invites our U.S. Troops from all services and DoD personnel serving a minimum of 270 consecutive days in an OEF/OIF location and their dependant children the opportunity for a special vacation on Walt Disney World® Resort. You will receive 20% discount on your room reservations ranging from 1 – 14 nights.

You may also take advantage of 20% discount on your dining options at the resorts (excluding alcohol beverages, the Express Café and the Pool Grille). Please contact our Reservations Department to book reservations and for questions on eligibility.

(You can take part in this for R&R. We did it for his R&R)

If you need to book a hotel room, check out two websites:

SwanDolphin.com

I just saw something about a discount for the military at either the Swan or the Dolphin (can't remember which one).

Thank you for your service.

I just bought my second set of the 4 day $99 tickets at the regular ticket counter for Magic Kingdom. Easy peesy! I'm just a dependent now and was a bit worried it would be hard without DH on hand but they didn't bat an eye.

Congrats on your return! We are ticking the days off of our own long long loooong deplyment and can't wait for our own reunion/Disney trip!
