From any of the parks, what would be your favorite snack? (If on the dining plan?) I am looking to try some great snacks this vacation! :thumbsup2 Thanks

In AK, anything at the Flame Tree. I love the sitting area where you can watch Expedition Everest or watch the boat going by with the characters while they're waving at you. And Rum Runners at the Dawa Bar. Yummo!!
:drinking1:drinking1

AK: Jalapeno Cheese Stuffed Pretzel, Safari Pretzels
MK: Ice Cream Sandwich, Main Street Bakery
E: School Bread, Norway

At MK the Dole Whip Float at the Aloha Isle in Adventureland . Everytime I pass by there, I have to stop to get one.

Animal Kingdom - my favorite lunch is corn dog nuggets and a Coke slushie eaten at the little riverside area behind the slushie place. My favorite snack is the chocolate-covered banana

Downtown Disney - Earl of Sandwich (just about any of the sandwiches) followed by a sundae at Ghiradelli. My take-home treat (I pack gallon-sized Ziploc bags just for this treat) is a gingerbread Mickey, enrobed in dark chocolate, covered in Reese's peanut butter cups, and drizzled with dark chocolate

I like the chocolate mousse at the Boulangerie Patisserie and the strawberry crepes from the kiosk, both in France at Epcot.

I LOVE the frozen Lemonade...not the minute maid pre packaged stuff. The slushy goodness they hand scoop into the big clear plastic cups. I grab one everytime I see the cart, no matter what!

I also love the ice cream cookie sandwhiches from the mainstreet bakery.

DH loves the orange dole whip.

#1 is the Turkey Leg... Yumm...

Candy Apples from DTD
Dole Whip... Never had one but it's a must this trip!

I am torn between two favorite snack foods, I just cannot choose between them. They both are healthy for you, and keep you feeling satisfied for a long time. This is great news for people on diets or just looking to maintain their weight. Snacking does not have to mean grabbing the first candy bar or piece of cake you see in the kitchen.

My first favorite snack is Sun Chips.

I have two varieties that I love. I love the regular kind, and also the cheddar cheese kind. This snack is proof that healthy food does not need to be tasteless and boring.

Sun chips have less saturated far than potato chips, less sodium, and no trans fat at all. All in all, it is a great choice for a snack. One serving is only about 140 calories. These chips have two grams of fiber in each serving, which is also great for keeping you feeling full longer.

Whole-grain snacks like this keep your energy levels high, and they also keep your blood sugar levels steadier than regular carbohydrates.

My second favorite food is almonds. Not roasted or salted; just regular almonds.

There are lots of organic companies that make plain almonds now, since they are being toted as a great nutritious snack. And, that it is. Almonds are very high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, and they have no trans fat as well.

They are a great source of protein, which is great for having strong muscles. Almonds also help you feel satisfied longer. They are also great for getting rid of belly fat for this reason, and your concentration is always sharper if you eat protein.

You could eat these snacks at work or at home. They are easily portable. Sun chips now come in the 100-calorie boxes, and almonds could just go wrapped in foil or plastic wrap.

When eating snack foods like these, you are less likely to pick at unhealthy foods in between meals. Comfort food could mean healthy, and you feel even more comforted when you know you are adding healthy food to your body. With all that is going on in the world now, every one of us deserves so good comfort snacking.

These are also great for when you are watching television. They say that television viewing leads to weight gain because of more snacking, but who does not snack in front of the computer, while watching a good movie, or even while talking on the telephone? See, there are lots of instances when we feel like a snack. Now, you could eat these snacks without feeling guilty.

Also, exercise is just more fun after you know you ate healthy. These will definitely be the tools you need to maintain your weight, or to lose those extra pounds.

I don't try to eat health on vacation. I go on vacation to get away from my diet. :rotfl:

After hearing so much about them I will be getting a dole whip on my first day. One thing I always get is a churro :rolleyes1 Not exactly gourmet or unique I know but I think it is the memories of them from my childhood of having them every time we visited places like DL and Sea World. :goodvibes

STOP!!! I'm starving now!!! I have this thread as a checklist now and I'm gonna try each of these I think!

Main St. Bakery= Choc. chip muffin!!!DH and I love em, so much doing the deluxe dining plan and buying them out last day so I can bring them home to freeze.

So Beware Nov. 14th Main St. Bakery will have NO MUFFINS! LOL

Strawberry Shortcake from Sunshine Seasons rocks too! cant bring that home though.

The french fries from Yak and Yeti CS are great. They are thin and crispy- different from the usual Disney kind and count as a snack credit.

DS was able to get a ham and cheese croissant from the Boulangerie Patisserie that was delish.

We also have to have a cinnamon bun from Main St. Bakery, churros from Mexico, and an orange dole whip float from Aloha Isle.

Happy Snacking!

A warm sweet cream cheese pretzel from the Lunching Pad or a Dole Whip float in MK!

Giganormous cupcakes at Starring Rolls in HS.

Grand Marnier slushi with a chocolate mousse in France at Epcot (YUM!), baklava in Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco, large soft prezel in Germany.

Sooo many to choose from!

Popcorn...followed up by a mickey bar - always a must
Italian Gellato
Dole Whip!
Ice Cream Sundae from Anti Gravities (MK) SOoooo good and better then the bakery I think
Ice cream Sandwich (MK bakery or the MK shop that sells the funnel cakes in LS)
Funnel Cake
ANY desert from France bakery
Stuffed pretzel is a new one on our list for this trip
