Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

:lmao: Great minds think alike!
Good tip on having the same use year. I am thinking along the same lines and the problem is that the maintenance fees for the GCV are very high compared to the others. It might be smarter to do what you did and look into Vero or Hilton Head. My home is SSR, which my husband loves, so even booking at the 7 month with the new points shouldn't be a problem.

You sort of answered another question about charging family/friends. I am on a waitlist for my friend for a GCV Studio for 2 nights in June- she wants to meet us at Disneyland and I don't mind using my points but I am having to borrow for her stay. I will charge her $10 a point if the wait comes through ($340) which seems like a steal and she happily agreed to. She couldn't look at even a regular hotel room at the GVC for $170 a night including tax and resort fee. It feels like a win/win but curious on your thoughts as far as charging.
I usually let Wendy handle the pricing with family/friends but she consults me on the pricing. During our Feb 2010 stay at BLT, we offered our friends Kim & Allan the opportunity to pay us equivalent to what they would book at POR which seemed like a win/win for them and us. But rather than have them pay us cash outright, they paid the cash equivalent for our DDP. In the end, we didn't get top dollar (which was fine because they're friends) but we covered some of our out-of-pocket expenses. My main concern was charging a price that would sour the friendship (no dollar amount is worth that) but we also couldn't give the rooms away for free either. I think we got the GC hotel for $350 or maybe a little less when we booked with a wedding, but definitely not too many deals offered by DL.:confused3

I may be able to meet you on another evening if you can fit me in...:)

:woohoo: Really? Wed or Thurs looks great for us. :thumbsup2

That's a good way to do it and I agree about not wanting to sour any friendships. When she asked about it, I explained how DVC works and we even went online to look at GCH hotel rates and then showed her the Studio layout. She jumped on the chance. I hope it comes through for her.

Thought I would post some of my favorite Disneyland pics from past trips. Some are from 2009, some from 2006, and 2005. In 2007 we discovered WDW and did that in 2007 and again 2009. I am not posting WDW at this time. ;)

hopping on board so I can watch how your June trip goes. 2 of your kids are similar in age to where mine will be when we go next year. :)

Love all the pix so far!

:welcome: Amy! I am curious to see how it unfolds as well with the WoC and grad nights.

I see they are similar in age. :)

ABCD what? Little lost on the DL shorts but I'll figure it out! Oh em gee the old pics are faboosh! How cute are the kids?! So funny looking at ds with the short hair, Cooper's is really long now (despite me chopping 2" off last week) so when I see old pics of him :sad1: I miss it short.... but if I cut it all off I'd miss it long!

WISHING I could afford to buy DVC :headache: Maybe 1 day!

:rotfl2: WoC= World of Color.

Cooper has long hair? Do you have pics on FB? I have never seen him with long hair! I bet he looks so cute.

Who said we could afford to buy? ;) J/K. We put down a deposit and have a monthly payment and I am totally cool with that. Not having to pay all of a vacation at the same time rocks! :woohoo:

:goodvibes I am so flippin' excited. Now if they would just announce the WoC protocol and get a solid Wine Country re-opening date, all would be groovy! :hippie:

The BB CM was so cute too, laughing at my spazziness.

I love CMs like that. They help to make it even more exciting.

pixiedust: Totally- she was so great. She worked fast knowing the importance of the situation. I need to check your report, how is your planning coming?

I planned it all out so early I am stalling. I am kind of in a quandary right now, I want to plan more because I have over planned every trip we have ever taken and for some reason this trip I just want to float through it.

That makes sense. Sometimes being a trip commando doesn't work but the planning is so fun. :cloud9: Have you made any PS?

No, I am debating. I am torn between the new Mickey Surfs Up breakfast or Goofy's Kitchen. I think that I have a few days to decide still.
