Need a verdict on the Baggallini Messenger!!

I have read so much on the boards about the Baggallini Messenger, and I guess I just wanted to get one last opinion from those of you that have it, or have used it, before we head out on our trip.

I bought one last year, but ended up using my Heys Travelmate instead because it was smaller and lighter. The Heys bag was nice, but the strap ruined my new shirts (it caused pilling) and the water bottle holder was a pain. So this year I found my Baggallini in the closet, with the tags still on, and I also have a new bag- the Piazza Day bag which I like. But when I load the bags up, even though the Baggallini is heavier, it seems like the weight is distributed better, and therefore is more comfy. I would have preferred to carry minimal items, but I do carry snacks, etc. in mine too, so I need a medium sized bag.

So, final verdict from those of you that have it, or have used it. Is it really a great Disney bag to carry all day??? Oh, and how does it fit in the mesh bags on the ride- is it a tight fit? Thanks for you help!!

I love mine - I have taken it to WDW 3 times and DL once. I will be taking it back to WDW in August. I actually like mine so much I sometimes use it as my everyday bag. I usually don't take it off on the rides - I just put seat belt on or pull the lap bar and just rearrange the way the bag sits. I think I do take it off on Soarin' though - it fits in the mesh bag holder without a problem. Also Mission to Mars - again, not a problem. HTH! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for you reply- I really appreciate it. The funny thing is that my hubby decided he would carry the black one I had bought last year, and use it for his stuff. So I'm going to order another one- probably lime green. He loaded it up with quite a bit just to test it, and said it distributed the weight nicely- so I'm thinking they will work perfectly!

I don't want to highjack the thread.... but can you tell us undecided Baggallini users - does the bag get hot on your back during the day? DH and I will be sharing this bag and both carrying it, and I would hate to commit to a bag that will be uncomfortable after several hours. Thanks!!

Thanks for your in put on this bag. I am still on the fence about this bag. But, everyone here seem to love it. :cloud9:

Okay, I have both of these bags!! I took the Heys in '08 and it was okay...but in '09 took the Baggalini...never looking back!! Baggalini is definitely my choice!!
More comfortable, more versatility, easier to maneuver, never had to re adjust, was ALWAYS readjusting the Heys bag.

And to answer the hijacker (lol) it was comfortable in Aug!!!

Well, mine rides low on my back or even more on my bottom, so it kind of moves with me, if that makes any sense? It doesn't stick to my back like a backpack would, so it doesn't get hot at all.

I just can't praise this bag enough - I love it! :goodvibes

I love mine. I like the fact that I don't have to take it off to get in and out of it. I can "spin" it around on me from front to back.

I also LOVE the fact that DH will carry it as well as it doesn't look feminine. I like the multiple pockets and sections in it that helps to keep everything organized.

It also has a zipper on the inner part that goes against your body so you can put your money where someone can't pick pocket you. It has an adjustable strap so you can adjust where the bag sets on your body. You can put it up high (back) or down low (hip level).

I bought a baggallini based on the great reviews I saw here. I just have to say that I didn't like it. In order for it to fit me comfortably on my back, the metal strap adjuster sat right on my collarbone and just dug right into it. I kept trying to adjust it different ways but I just couldn't make it work for me. I ended up making my teenage son carry it because it was really getting painful.

I worry about this too, although I know it's not uncomfortable for everyone. I wonder if it would work to get those seat-belt pads? I'm going to check my Walmart and Kmart tomorrow and see what I can find. Seven days in the park with a strap digging into my neck would not be fun!! :)

Well, I can't say about the metal adjuster, I never even felt it..I am pooh sized and I guess that would affect how it is worn. But, that being said, I will say it is hard to find a bag that is comfortable on this size 20, well endowed, body;).
I loved this bag.

Here is a pic of me wearing the baggalini, you can't see the whole thing, but you can see where the metal piece sits. Hope that helps?
PS IGNORE MY WACKY FACIAL EXPRESSION!!!!

Weird, I just clicked on the link and it opened up?

Although, maybe it's a good thing, I really look ridiculous in this pic?!! Hahahaha!!

I think it's a great family photo- it does look like you have something to say!! :) I went ahead and ordered this bag in the lime green and then got the crinkle nylon in the espresso. I cannot wait to get them! As for the poster that talked about the Heys bag- I agree with you. It's a nice bag, but like you, I was constantly readjusting. I also felt like it bumped around too much, but I've noticed that my Baggallini seems to stay put pretty much when I test wear it around the home.

I'm also trying to decide on a Baggallini bag. I carried the Wallet bag a couple of years ago and it was fine ... just small. I have a Heys Travelmate but have never been crazy about it ... I don't like that you can only carry it on one side plus it's always had this plastic-like smell to it that I just can't get use to. So ... I'm looking at a Baggallini Sydney or Around Town Bagg ... anyone have one of these. I've been checking on the size of bags because I want to fit a Vinylmation Mickey in it to get signed.

After reading the bajillion comments on this bag, I finally bought one since I found one for under $30. (bagsbuy.com with coupon code SAVE10 ... worked last week if anyone is curious)

I got it in and loved the fit. I have yet to carry it full of stuff, but after showing people we have now ordered three more because my mom, my sister, and my girlfriend all wanted one. :goodvibes

I carried a smaller sling bag to Disney last year and stopped after I had a diagnol tan line across my chest. I carried a vera bradley backpack instead and hated it even more. The straps just dug into me and it was hot on my back.

I think the baggallini has a more comfy fit than most sling bags I've tried. I'm looking forward to using it on vacation! :cheer2:

So many positive posts about these baggalini dealies, my wife wants one for sure for our trip. We'll be getting one based on the rave reviews. Thanks everyone!
