This trip report begins on Thursday, March 18. I worked half a day, and checked my girls out of school at 11:30. We grabbed some lunch-to-go and headed to my sister’s house, an hour east of us. Once at her house, we loaded her bags, moved car seats, and had a “last you for a while” potty break.

We were on the road a little before 2 p.m. and headed to Tallahassee. After a long 7 hour car ride, we arrived in Tallahassee. We found the hotel we had booked for the night and settled into our room.

Day 2---Friday, March 19

The next morning we were grabbing a quick breakfast in the hotel and we noticed a funny smell. We were sitting along a ¾ wall that separated the food area from the dining area. I went around to grab a box of cereal and noticed a man heating something up in the microwave. Then I noticed a take-out box sitting on the counter. It was from Red Lobster---That guy was warming up his seafood from the previous night. GROSS---he was stinking up the entire lobby!

We had set a goal of leaving by 9 the next morning, but didn’t quite make it. I think we left around 9:15.

We arrived at POR around 1:30 p.m. I had done online check-in a few days before, so there was no wait. I was told that our room was in building 15 (which is good, --I’d requested that or 18), but that it was not ready. I gave the CM my cell number and she told me I would get a text when it was ready. I got back to my van, and as soon as I sat down, I got the text telling me that the room was ready. So, we headed over to the room to unload our luggage. We were in the Alligator Bayou section, room 1513.

It was a little past two o’clock. We decided to head over to Magic Kingdom.

We had the unfortunate timing of walking in just as the afternoon parade finished. YIKES!! We made our way SLOWLY down Main Street.
