So the webinar has come and gone and the new incentives are known (to webinar watchers). After seeing the webinar incentives will you be adding on/buying in?

We are adding on but the webinar had no bearing. When we were at BLT last week we called our guide and added on. Was holding the contract until we saw the new webinar incentive but it matches what we got last week.

Just going to sign and mail tomorrow.

I was highly considering adding on, then we decided to buy a car (really needed one, as mine's 10 years old!). Sure put a damper on the ol' add on plans.

Ditto

VGC was the same incentive we were offered. BLT was $2 less with the webinar, but we were planning on - and are doing, the cruise instead of the $10 off.

Us too. We have paperwork in hand but were waiting to see if anything better came along. For us it was more about getting the add-on done before the end of our UY to get '09 points than it was the webinar but we saved an extra $2 per point.

We have a very bad case of add-on-itis (and need to soon) however, DH would rather wait until we can add on the number we need, rather than 2-3 small contracts. He thinks it's nuts to keep paying closing costs. Good thing I found I'm getting a raise next month! maybe the add on will come sooner than later!

I will be adding on in the future but not right now. I have a few other bills to pay off first. Although I was sorely tempted!!! Besides, my UY is February so I'm into my 2010 UY and wouldn't get 09 points, so I'll wait until later...

I voted "not adding on". We were never really thinking about it anyway - just wanted to see the webinar and receive the lithograph. Sad but true!:thumbsup2

After seeing the prices, it makes me wish I had bought more BLT points last June when they were ony $96pp

That's cool, I'll just keep saving(and praying) for GFV's :thumbsup2

Me too. DH said he'd be tempted to add on if we could get it for $97 pp. And I have to admit that sounds more reasonable to me.

I don't watch until Thursday, and I was hoping that they would have something different, but for VGC, this is the exact same offer as it already was. Still, I'll do my little 50 point add on..

Not sure yet as I am signed up for Thursday... my biggest debate is direct or resale. Our first contract (we just joined in December) was direct and gosh, it was sooooo easy and smooth. I would LOVE to add on but have a feeling it will be resale next for us.

I wish DVC would offer something like a "4 hour special" and drop the prices low for a short period to make people crazy enough to buy in without having too much time to think about it - I'd totally go for that! :thumbsup2

I just posted this on the operations page so maybe wrong place ...oh well but here is what we just did.....so much less pressure...add on - its all done! it took 1/2 hr if that on phone...

After spending all week trying to decide which resort, looking for enough points, the right contract, cost, time, stress, some pressure to buy now - we decided to get the add on points for VGC this morning thru webcast (which I didnt watch just saw postings)

He told us we could have points from last year '09 and then '10 points, no closing cost and we did the 125 point so we got $19 off per point so $93 a point. So maybe not the best deal but for VGC it was. We spent about $104 last year. Points are in our account now - so we dont have to wait for ROFR. Last the dues are less its a smaller resort.

So just wanted to share, for us to buy enough points for BCV was going to be pricey so well have to hope for 7 months out for BW or BC if not well have to be ok with another resort.

He did say to expect Hawaii dues to be a little higher.....we were trying to determine if we should wait for this to go on sale...cant wait.

And we thought we wouldnt need more points HAHAHA

So you are looking for a resale add on? There are no closing costs for add ons through Disney.
