Did Quick Service plan this time...

Just got back from a week in WDW and a cruise. For the week in WDW we opted for the Quick Service plan over the usual dining plan full service dining. It worked out great! I was afraid we would be relegated to hotdogs, hamburgers and chicken strips but nooo! I had BBQ Ribs, great chinese and Japanese food as well as great sandwiches etc. I will say this, food in WDW has gotten better and more plentiful! The only issue is that the park was way crowded for spring break and the lines for food were quite long.

Glad you liked the qsp. We are trying for the 1st time in Oct.

We are trying the quick service for the first time too, Basically cause I got a pin for it... I do have one question. When do they give u the refillable mugs? Is their a credit on ur card and you go to get them in the food court?

When you go in for your first meal, you can pick up a mug right in line at a resort food court. When you get to the cashier they note it on your card.

Since they give you two drinks for breakfast and one each time you eat, I found myself not even carrying the mug around. If given the choice of other things I will usually pick something over soda anyway.

thank you!! I know... On both plans...U end up with way to many beverages! I like to keep all our cups as souvies though!!

I'm so glad to hear it went well. We are trying it this December too DS just doesn't want to sit after being in the parks all day so DDP is out this trip.

Thanks for the tip about the drinks I think I will stick to waters for the family that way I don't have to get them in the parks. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear it went well also. We are trying it the first time in June. What were some of your favorite meals? Any input on DHS and Epcot CS would be greatly appreciated.

Love the QS dining plan!! Animal kingdom lodge, Mara has the BEST soup for a snack credit! WGPE in downtown disney is so yummy, no matter what you order! They have great breakfasts also!

We were there for 9 nights and I only ate one burger (in the mood to) and lots of other wonderful food. The QS dining plan is a bargain!

In magic kingdom, Cosmic Rays has a rib/chicken platter, CHH has fantastic fish and chips and if you like hot dogs, Caseys has great ones!

The hardest park imho is Hollywood studios. My daughter likes abc comissary (yeach), so I just get a snack and eat later, or get something somewhere else.

Any other places for the quick service good meal bargains :)

Pecos Bill's has a new Fried Chicken dish that looked and smelled so yummy, but we tried the new angus burger which was to die for.

We like Backlot at DHS we think the burgers aren't too bad and the turkey sandwhich is really good.

The best place at HS is Fairfax fare. You can get a chose of two of the following: ribs, chicken or brisket plates. Also they have a fairfax salad, which is a romaine lettuce, tortilla chips, cheese, corn and peppers and topped with chili. Sounds Weird but it was awesome. It is at the end of the street were Tower of Terror and Rockin roller coaster is.:thumbsup2
