We just received a 2009 Vacation Planner!

What's up w/ that? Return address is Disney Vacation Club. It only contains 2009 point requirements. We recently closed on an add-on of points, and I appreciate that they bothered to send some info. But I've got a more recent Planner with 2011 requirements! Sort of a waste of $7.09 postage.... :confused3

Interesting. Sounds like the 2011 planner fell into the "Hot Tub Time Machine" and was delivered as a 2009 planner.

How these folk creating and/or mailing these things out manage to retain their jobs is beyond comprehension.

The last vacation planner we received was probably 2007 or maybe 2008. I call MS and they go thru checking our address; then say give it another month, you should get one. Thank goodness for the internet. We don't get the magazine either. Somehow they always DO manage to get us our maintenance fee statements in a timely manner and to the right address.:rolleyes1

I'm not sure if I'm relieved to know we're not the only ones who never get all the correspondence from DVC either, or if I'm mad that they're really that incompetent.

I can't remember the last time we got anything from DVC other then the MF bill or the occasional magazine.

When I inquired back in January about the 2011 planners and getting them BEFORE we had to start making 2011 ressies, I was told we would get them soon and in time....Uhhhhhh,,,,Hmmmmmm... Last I checked, I could start making 2011 ressies on February 1st. Here it is mid March, and still nothing. Time to talk to our friendly "quality assurance" folks again.

I am in the process of signing up with DVC and I was also sent a 2009 vacation planner. Definately makes me wonder.

You're going to love 2009, especially if you go in Jan - March. It is so much more warmer than the same period in 2010.

Are they installing time machines now? Perhaps a new perk? If so I'd like to go back and buy some microsoft stock.

It's my understanding that they send the current issue of the planner to those who buy new or resale contracts. Apparently they forget to include the insert with the 2010 points in your mailing.

AFAIK, they haven't started (or just recently started) sending out the 2010 planners. Those will probably have an insert with the 2011 point charts.

Also, FWIW, I was told that the planners are actually paid for by the Developer, not by DVC Member dues. Even so, wouldn't it be nice if we could opt out of getting the planners? I never use mine - get all my info from the DIS or the Members' website.

We just received our planner also. 2009 points chart. My wife goes online to get current point charts so the 2009 planner is currently being used by our 3 year old because she liked the pictures inside. It seems that a paperless system would save money and a lot of paper.
