Hi everyone...just wondering if anyone has any experience using a blow-up mattress, twin-size in a studio...If you have used one, where did you put it, if it is even possible. We are going at the end of March, myself, DH, DD & DS and just thought if would be easier if the 2 kids could have their own beds. Thanks for any advice.

It's hard to say without knowing which resort. :) For instance, at BLT, there isn't much room for one, but at OKW, there's plenty...

Yup we are able to do it. We move the furniture around a bit. Have to push the table to the corner, but we usually manage to put my son's air mattress at the foot of my daughter's fold out couch. During the day, we usually stand it up against the wall to be able to go to the balcony or walk across the room without tripping over it. It's doable!

There is definately room for a twin blow-up mattress in studios at WDW.
We just used one on our trip in December 2009 in studios at OKW, BLT, BWV, BCV, VB and even AKV value. It stayed along the wall opposite the fold out sofa the whole stay, except for AKV value where it needs to go in the doorway so it is a little inconvenient. Regardless with an AKV studio you will definately have enough room. As stated previously there is a little rearrangement of furniture involved but you only do this once on check-in.

We used one at OKW during Xmas (kids didn't want to share bed). It slid nicely under the queen size bed when not in use.

Don't have personal experience myself, but I rented points to a friend back in
'05 at BCV and they put it in the entry area (next to the bathroom, which I thought could be a bit awkward) but they seemed to makeout OK.. So I'm sure whatever configure, you can work it out.

We had plenty of room for ours at a studio in BWVs last month. It was a pain going to the bathroom at night and getting up early when my 14 year old was still sleeping on the air mattress! LOL!

rent a 1 bedroom, then you and hubby can have your own bedroom and a jacuzzi and the kids can share a bed in the other room

I am a firm believer in doors...keeps them sleeping longer and us in peace more!

We would rather "rough it" and use less points...we aren't overflowing with points...especially at Peak season! When we travel with the kids, romance is not part of the picture...hubby and I take several trips a year by ourselves for that reason. Plus when we go to WDW, our room is really just a place to sleep at night...and much to their chagrin, I get everybody up and at 'em bright and early to make park openings...definitely don't want them sleeping longer, lol!

O.K...here's another question...now that I know we can fit the air mattress, do we need to bring a sleeping bag, or can we get a sheet and blanket from mousekeeping?

We brought our own sheets and blanket. We had one piece of luggage for the mattress and sheet stuff. There was an extra pillow from the pullout couch being able to accomodate 2 people. It was worth it to us to not have the kids together. No one wants to sleep with my 14 year old. She hogs the blankets and is all over the place!

I don't believe they will supply you with extra bedding - you'll need to bring your own.

We have used a twin blow up mattress before and I only brought a sheet for it and asked for extra blankets I have never had any problems with getting them considering I'm usually always cold in the air conditioned rooms at Disney.
