Cross your heart we're going! Cross it!An Unexpected April Adventure! TR Started!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if they add more shows. They seem to add additional shows on the same day before adding additional days.

I hope that they do!! I have read that there was an early show and later show. That would be great if they did it while we were down there....maybe it would cut down on the crowds.

I'd really love to see it in August...did not plan ADR's around it but it's not impossible either.

It looks like a great show!! Can't wait!!:goodvibes

I don't blame you for dancin' one little bit! You saved money and you are going to all four parks AND the water park! I know that ya'll are all excited.

We are sooooo excited!! Four parks and we saved money....it doesn't get any better!!!:woohoo:

That's so exciting! We got the same email this morning and I was telling Jeff it would be a great deal if you had 2-3 kids 9 or under...it's perfect for you guys!

Doesn't help us but it's a nice change from some of the other promotions.

We are hoping to use K&T's GAD vouchers for the fast pass (which reminds me that I have NOT heard back from the organization they want to volunteer at) so I will be excited to see how it works on your trip!

Congrats!!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks!!:goodvibes I can't wait to try out the fastpass card. Just the thought of not having to run for Soarin' on our Epcot day is making me smile!!

hello! i'm joining in!! Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

:welcome: I'm so glad you enjoyed in!!!:goodvibes More to come!!;)

Angie that's fantastic news!:wizard::woohoo::yay: Your trip just got even better, it's still a budget trip and those fastpasses sound great! :dance3:

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Nevermind blah.... you're looking fabulous for twenty-nine! ;)

Ahhh....thanks for the birthday wishes!! (oh.....to be 29 again!!:cloud9:):rotfl:

Isn't it the best news!!! We're sooooo happy! I can't believe our little budget trip has turned into all 4 parks with waterpark and fastpasses!! I knew there was a reason I signed up to get that Disney card!:):yay:

Woo hoo, that is exciting news! And happy birthday too! Geez, there are a lot of us March birthday people on here.

Wow, looks like I picked a great day to get caught up!!

Happy Birthday!!

And that is AWESOME news about the kids going free :dance3:
I've been wondering what the crowds will be like for you as I read something about the Easter dates no longer being blacked out for the gift card deal, and now this promotion, it will be interesting to see if you notice a difference from last year.

Before I got to your post from today I was debating what to say about Fantasmic! The girls and I absolutely loved it, in fact we regularly search it out on youtube and sit and watch the whole thing. DH thought it was OK but didn't think it was worth the 90 minute wait and hard, hot, uncomfortable benches. So before today's news I would have hesitated to say yes go for it when it meant adding on park hoppers, but now...I'm sure you'll absolutely love it!!

Your plans sound great so far, the next few weeks are going to fly by I'm sure :)

Wow! I don't know how I missed all of this yesterday...

:banana:Congratulations on the great discount!!:banana:

And Happy (belated) Birthday!! Hope it was a great day! :bday:

I saw that discount over on Tour Guide Mike, but didn't think much about it since we're staying off-site. And I don't have a Disney Visa (shhh... don't tell anyone, I might lose my DISer status...) I'm so happy that you got to take advantage of it!! party:

I was so happy to receive the email for the kids to go free!! It was exactly what I was hoping for!:) I was wondering the same thing about the crowds because of all the promotions that they have opened up and now this new one. Hmmm.....glad to have the fastpasses!! I definitely think spring break is doable but takes alot of planning. It will seem funny this trip not having to run for fastpasses to Soarin' or BTMRR. (not that I'm complaining!;))

Before we got this deal, I was really on the fence about whether to get the park hoppers. It seemed like a pretty big expense for one night (only a few hours...) I'm glad to hear that you and your girls loved Fantasmic! The boys have only watched it on you tube and they think it looks so cool! They are very excited to see it!

Happy Birthday!

Thank you!!:goodvibes

Thank you and Thank you!!:goodvibes It was a good day!!:thumbsup2

No Disney Visa!! (Just kidding;)) We had actually been debating whether we want to keep the card...it takes a lot to rack up any kind of rewards unless you use it for day to day things like gas, groceries etc. We really only try to use the card for emergencies. But.....after getting the discount I think we'll keep it for a little while longer!!:thumbsup2

Hi Everyone!! Well, I've finally recovered from all the excitement the other day!;) It's been a good week overall......the sun has been shining, the snow is melting....finally. Spring is in the air...or at least I hope it is!:thumbsup2 So, I thought it was the perfect day to share our revised itinerary. (the school work, laundry, dishes etc. can wait, right?) Here it goes!!

Revised Itinerary

April 12--Day 1 (stayed the same) Leave around 7-8 in the morning, lunch in Syracuse. Flight leaves around 2:30pm, Arrive in Orlando around 5:00pm. Hopefully, we will be at Pop around 6:00 at the latest? Eat dinner, check out gift shop, arcade, and pool?

April 13--Day 2--(stayed the same) Epcot EMH 8:00am-9:00am. We'll do FW in the morning/early afternoon, take a rest, back to WS for dinner and Illuminations that night. A very full day! Which is why I decided to keep it on the EMH day so we have more time to explore.
Must do's:
-Soarin'
-Living w/the Land
-Character Spot
-Test Track
-Spaceship Earth
-Journey into Imagination
-Nemo-Turtle Talk
-Explore more of WS!!! and F&G Festival
-Illuminations!

April 14--Day 3-- Okay, this is where we switched it up a little. Our original plan was to do the waterpark on this morning. But since we only have 4 days to work with and 4 parks to visit we had to change things up some. So, on this morning we have decided to go to MK instead. I like this better anyway because we will be able to see the opening show at MK (which we love!!..and we have noticed they don't show it on EMH mornings which was original plan.)

(I'll share our MK plans in the next post)But our must do's for this trip are--
MK must do's:
-Space Mountain
-Buzz Lightyear
-Peter Pan
-Winnie the Pooh
-Mickey's Philharmagic
-BTMRR
-Splash Mountain
-Pirates of the Caribbean
-Jungle Cruise
-Haunted Mansion

We plan to finally stick around and watch the afternoon parade and then after the parade we are heading out to DTD. (like we originally planned on this day) Another busy day...and I wish that there was another place to fit in DTD because I would love to come back and watch Wishes but....I don't think we will make it this trip. I am sad because I love Wishes but on the other hand we saw it twice last year and have yet to see Illuminations and Fantasmic and this is supposed to be the trip that we want to experience new things so.....no regrets!;)

April 15--Day 4--This will be our waterpark day now or half a day anyway... Typhoon Lagoon in the morning early afternoon. Then head back to Pop to change and REST! (after such a busy day on Day 3..we'll need it!!) Then it's off to DHS for the night!

(I'll share our DHS plans next week.)

DHS must do's:
-Toy Story Mania! (and thanks to our Fastpasses it looks like we might be able to ride twice! YAY!)
-TOT (yes....Noah has decided he wants to ride it this time and I have been elected to join him.:scared1:)
-Animation Building and Meet and Greet...(I think the characters from UP are still there can't wait!!)
-Star Tours
-Beauty and the Beast (not sure it's a must do but would like to try!)
-Fantasmic (need to line up 60-90 minutes early:eek:)

April 16-Day 5 (last day:sad1:) AK day! We have a 9:35am ADR for breakfast at the Tusker House. I decided to make it a little later so I didn't have to hurry our last morning. (I'll share details soon)

AK must do's:

- EE
-Killimanjaro Safari
-Kali
-Festival of the Lion King! (we've never seen)
-Character trails
-Dinosaur (maybe? we almost have the boys talked into it!)

We want to be back at Pop around 3:00pm because the DME bus leaves at 4:00pm.:sad2:

There are the revised plans as you can tell not too much changed we just switched our day 3 and 4 days...not bad!!

Next Post--Looking back...Magic Kingdom and Looking ahead-MK Plans!!

We were lucky enough to visit Magic Kingdom twice last year and since I shared a few moments from our 2008 trip...I thought I would share a few from our trips in 2009 as well...so here you go.:goodvibes

Great trips!! So now that we have looked back...let's look ahead!

Magic Kingdom Touring Plans-

(Day 3-Wednesday) Hours-9:00am-10:00pm

-We'll grab a quick breakfast at Pop, like we normally do and then head to MK so that we are there before the park opens so we can catch the opening show!!:cloud9:To be honest since we have found out about the fastpasses we are going to get for doing the GAD program I have been struggling with our touring plans for MK. We always go during Spring Break and I know in order to be able to ride the rides we want...I'm always running ahead to grab fastpasses. This trip it really won't be necessary if I can plan things right....

MK Plans-
-Arrive-grab maps etc., get photopass pictures

-Head for Frontierland to ride BTMRR and Splash Mountain (Hopefully, everyone will be running for Space Mountain.;))

-Head to Adventureland to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jungle Cruise
-Cut across and head back to Liberty Square-ride Haunted Mansion.

-Lunch at Columbia Harbor House

-Head into Fantasyland
-Ride Peter Pan (FP if needed)
-See Mickey's Philharmagic
-Ride Pooh (FP if needed)

-Head to Tomorrowland
-Ride Space Mountain (FP)
-Buzz Lightyear (FP if needed)
-Head over to watch Afternoon Parade

Depending on what we can accomplish by using FP plus we don't want to run to ride to ride obviously...but we may try to squeeze in either Carousel of Progress or Tom Sawyer Island???

After Parade---head to DTD for dinner/ Disney Quest.

****These plans may change...I've only changed them a dozen or more times already.:rotfl: Any suggestions?? We normally start in Tomorrowland and then take the train in Toontown to Frontierland etc....so maybe we'll do that instead.....I don't know....MK is always my hardest planning day! So much to see and sooooo little time!:upsidedow

I know it seems like a very busy day/night. But..it's the only day we have like this the other days I have tried to schedule a break in the afternoon. I just can't figure out another way yet for this day.:confused3

Love the MK pics Angie!

Your updated plans look good! I hope that you are able to get all your Must-Do's accomplished. The GAD fastpasses should help! :thumbsup2

I hear you on MK. I struggle with it too and felt robbed on our last trip. It's my mission this one to really feel like we see and do everything there, even if it's at the expense of something else.

I can relate. We are keeping it (but paid off) just to get the discount emails so it will be pretty inactive except when we book trips.

Although honestly, every booking we've made has been with a PIN code from Disney direct, not Disney Visa or a public promotion.

Hmmn.

Then again, I do have a nice rewards card loaded to take to California next month!

It is so nice that spring is finally starting to show up. It's been pretty warm here all week. :thumbsup2

YES, you have to see FOTLK. Great great great show!

Hey Angie.... big updates! Your revised plans sound great... I can't make up my mind if they're busy or not. On the one hand you do have a lot scheduled but if you pace yourselves at the parks (with those handy dandy fastpasses!) I think you won't be rushed. It's hard finding that balance of wanting to do everything but not stressing yourself out. :goodvibes

Oh yes, you must see FOTLK and I hope you get the warthog section! :rotfl:

Your MK plans sound good, you're not criss crossing anywhere and you have the good stuff in there. :thumbsup2

Your MK plans sound great to me! I think you'll be fine staying most of the day as long as it isn't too hot. You're taking a break for lunch and you can sit upstairs in the Columbia Harbor House and relax for a while plus you can always take breaks on the TTC or in Carousel of Progress. Sounds like a fun day to me!

Love the MK pics Angie!

Thanks Missy!!:goodvibes I'm hoping the GAD fastpasses help! We have a big list of must-do's don't we?

We were lucky enough to accumulate a few reward dollars as well for our April trip....not much but some. It only took us a whole year to do- but it will help souvenirs, drinks, snack or whatever.

UGH..I'm still struggling with MK.:sad2: Hopefully, I'll figure it out soon......

YES, you have to see FOTLK. Great great great show!

I know...so happy spring is finally here. It's been so warm this week....in the 50's!! (well...not too warm but definitely better than the 20's!:thumbsup2)

Can't wait for FOTLK!!!

I know...I got a little carried away with the updates yesterday!;) But...I realized it's taken me so long to only share a couple days of our trip that I should get a move on!

I think the reason why it looks so busy to me is because we normally take a rest in the afternoon but on this day we are going, going, going! I definitely think the fastpasses will help. We just really wanted to slow it down some this trip but we are realistic-I mean we only 5 days.:rolleyes1

FOTLK sounds like so much fun!! But...now you got me interested..the warthog section????

Thanks!:goodvibes Columbia Harbor House should give us a nice break for lunch. (especially the upstairs seating!) We're hoping to fit in Carousel of Progress as well so that should help.... I'm just hoping that little bit of a break will be enough for the boys.

Hi Everyone!! Well, I hadn't planned to do an update today since I did such a big one yesterday but I figured a tiny one would be okay;).....since I just realized that exactly one month from today we will be at Disney!!!!:dance3::woohoo::yay::cool1:

and.....I got Mickey Mail today!!!!:cheer2:

Yup, we got our luggage tags, arcade voucher etc.!! So excited! It's still showing only 2 days but I'm sure we'll get an updated one soon. I only changed our reservation a few days ago!

So, anyway just wanted to share the good news!!:goodvibes

Oh and I almost forgot...a trivia question! Well, as you know we have been watching a Disney movie every week as a way to get the boys more excited for Disney (not that they aren't excited enough...but it's fun!;)) This week I have finally talked them into watching.....

Guess this movie quote:

"What do you do when things go wrong? Oh! You sing a song!"

What movie have we decided to watch? (and it does have a ride equivalent at Disney..if you want to guess that as well.) Don't forget to use white font.:)
