I need some help with our Adr's this time around. I would pefer to eat at the park for meals. I would rather perfer to get a room only discount and do the QSDP and pay out of pocket for 2 meals. Here is a sample of where we are going what days. Please feel free to make suggestions. We are booked at CBR but may switch to POR for the boat to DTD. The only 2 meals that are a must do are the 2 at epcot.

9/25 arriving a little late at CBR or POR Shutters or Boatwrights
9/26 Epcot Garden grill for supper meeting my borther and his girlfriend there.
9/27 MK thinking maybe Tony's
9/28 TL or BB eating at DTD
9/29 Ak yek and yeti or the buffet?
9/30 HS Hollywood and Vine?
10/1 Mk crystal palce again meeting brother
10/2 Epcot food and wine Norway breakfest Dh love this one
10/3 Leaving early am

Although I loved Tony's at MK, we really loved Liberty Tree Tavern. They served a family style Thanksgiving meal. The food was great. I would choose this place over Tony's except if you do not eat a lot.

We like Yak and Yeti at AK.
We like Liberty Tree Tavern at MK.

What are you DD initials mean? I was trying to figure them out.

9/25 arriving a little late at CBR or POR Shutters or BoatwrightsNever done Shutters--I've read mixed reviews; we hated Boatwright's three years ago -- bad food, worse service
9/26 Epcot Garden grill for supper meeting my borther and his girlfriend there.haven't done in years...it was okay
9/27 MK thinking maybe Tony'swe like Tony's; prefer lunch over dinner--not as rushed, smaller portions
9/28 TL or BB eating at DTDWe've only done Fulton's--we love it, but not on the dining plan
9/29 Ak yek and yeti or the buffet?LOVE Yak & Yeti
9/30 HS Hollywood and Vine? one of two Disney restaurants you could not pay us to eat at (the other being WCC)
10/1 Mk crystal palce again meeting brotherAn absolute MUST for breakfast every trip -- we don't do lunch or dinner buffets anymore afte rhorrible experience at H&V and Chef Mickey's
10/2 Epcot food and wine Norway breakfest Dh love this onewe did lunch, never breakfast (didn't care for lunch at all; doubt we'll go breakfast as it is just DH and I traveling)
10/3 Leaving early am

Comments in red. I would switch H&V at the Studios to either Sci Fi for lunch or 50's Prime Time; I'd do Crystal Palace for breakfast and try to get an 8:05 a.m. ADR for early entrance to Main Street

9/26 Epcot Garden grill for supper meeting my borther and his girlfriend there.
9/27 MK thinking maybe Tony'sAte here, it was good but prefer LTT
9/28 TL or BB eating at DTD Really if you are doing QSDP I would say what about WPE?
9/29 Ak yek and yeti or the buffet?Yak and Yeti
9/30 HS Hollywood and Vine? I so disliked Hollywood and Vine, I would so recommend going to 50's PT

You are some great choices though

POR has a wonderful food court which counts as a counter service meal. I recommend including it in your plans, especially since you will be on the QSDP.

No we aren't on the QSDP we are on the regular one. I would pefer QSDP because I hate having to be so scheduled. But I have to make ADR's the 29th so I need to get some written down.

If a room only discount comes up we will switch to the QSDP and cancle are ADR's. Except Garden grill and Crystal Palace.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. 50's primetime was just ok. The waitress made my kiddo cry she is a little sensitive when it comes to people she don't know. The waitress felt bad. But than it got my other daughter crying. Not a great experiece and the food was ok. I should have warned the waitress ahead of time so it is truly my fault.

Sci Fi would be a good option. Any Mama Melrose fans out there? My borthers girlfriend also mention Brown Derby it is 2 TS but we would just eat CS the first night.

We have eaten at Mama Melrose four times now and never had a bad meal or bad service. They can be a little rushed in the 3:30 to 5:00 range (this is when you can get the Fantasmic package which we've done), but we really enjoy it. We did Brown Derby about six or seven years ago. We did not like it much at all -- food mediocre at best (I had to send mine back twice) and service was terrible -- five tables in the whole restaurant occupied and we were there over 90 minutes. Don't think it is worth two table service credits at all.

I love the basic food plan and truthfully, this is the first time we are planning the quick serve plan and I'm hesitant...rather have to schedule that one point of the day for the "sit down and enjoy the rest" meal... BUT...

We went to Boatwright's a few years back and enjoyed it but things changed so I'm not sure but I never ate at Shutter's but a friend hated it!!!
Garden Grill was pretty good but IF I were on the dining plan and had a choice, I would rather Coral Reef or to get out into the countries to LeCellier or Chefs de France or Teppan Edo was also good...

There isn't much choice for MK in TS but I also prefer LTT to Tony's...Better yet, if you don't mind taking the monorail, any of these may be a better choice yet....Kona at the Polynesian...Grand Floridian Cafe, of course at the Grand Floridian....The Wave at the Contemporary...and then it's a quick hop back onto the monorail to get yourself back to MK

Only places we ate dinner at downtown disney is Raglan Rd, which is very good and has entertainment such as an irish band and irish dancer. and Wolfgang Puck Express which is very good and a counter service...

AK..Yak and Yeti is very good and I would choose that over the AK buffet but I would rather hop the bus to AKL to go to Boma rather than Yak and Yeti...Both are very good and you won't go wrong with either.

We don't mind Hollywood and Vine but prefer Mama Melrose and sometimes we do the fantasmic package.

Crystal Palace is good.

Akershus in Norway is very good for breakfast...

Have fun....:thumbsup2

We have done coral Reef for me it was ok. Nothing special but we love Garden Grill last year. We also did GG in 2004 and hated it. Not sure what changed.

You have to have a package I believe to get any of the dining plans so the room discount and quick service dining plan wouldn't work.

You can do a room only discount add tickets and then it becomes a package. Then you can add dining.

We love Mama Melrose - my kids are 6 & 8 and we like to eat there

We also love H&V for Breakfast - but not for lunch or dinner.
