1st stay on the boardwalk coming up and looking to check in and maybe swim a little and eat on the boardwalk. We are not seafood eaters and not to impressed by the kouzina menu. What do you recommend for a good 1st day meal on the boardwalk? How is the food at the brew works? I do like a good burger but not the quick service thin patties mass cooked at the parks, we have an espn zone here that is so so and do not really see any other choices. I grew up on the south side of chicago so I know good pizza and what others consider good pizza. Thought about wandering into epcot but would probably be to much on tired kids. Any suggestions.......

Walk over to the Beach Club and wait for a table at Beaches and Cream. It's only a 5 minute walk.

I do lunch at Big River Grill (the brewery) at least once each trip and find it to be quite good. You definitely want to avoid ESPN as the food is terrible.

We ate at ESPN Zone and enjoyed our food. It was typical bar food (like TGIFridays, etc), but was good.

I also recommend going over to Beaches and Cream. We eat there on every trip.

We usually start our trip with dinner at Big River. Good food, nothing fancy, but easily identifiable, kid-friendly, normal food. Ribs are really good, so is the meatloaf (believe it or not!). We sit outside, DH gets the beer flight, we people watch, and after a leisurely dinner, walk the Boardwalk. We usually go to the bakery and get something for dessert, let the kids play games, and head back to the room early to get a good night's sleep. HTH

I walked over to the Dolphin for lunch when my Board Walk room wasn't ready.

The Big River Grill is pretty good.

Many of the Epcot restaurants need reservations or you may be turned away or left waiting for 30-45 minutes.

We got burned by Big River Grille twice. We will never return there. They were rude. Food was both burned and frozen. They sat us at a dirty table that had not been cleared and it took a long time for them to finally clear the table.

You could try the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin.

I agree that the meatloaf is very good there, but we got the burger there this year and it was AWFUL!!! We literally left angry that we had eaten there and turned down other great places nearby. If you want a good burger I would opt for Beaches and Cream, which as everyone has said, is a 5 minute walk. Oh, and the bakery for dessert is ALWAYS a great option...although if you go to Beaches and Cream, of course I would get ice cream there!
