I've eaten at both before, and like both, but can't decide which to include in my fall trip.

I ate at Flying Fish on Saturday. The food was excellent but they were packed and the service suffered. My friend had a word with the manager as the table for four was only set for three and it took three requests and 45 minutes to get silverware for the fourth place (one of us ended up eating the appetizer with a spoon from someone else's place setting) and when the busman finally brought the utensils he pretty much threw them on the table, plus our water wasn't refilled. My friend got no feedback from the manager. May be the Dining Plan rearing its head, maybe they were just crowded that night. I'd do Bluezoo.

Well, which did you like better? That is the one to go with in the fall.
I honestly liked them equally.

I was really leaning towards FF originally, because I am on the DDP, but if I do end up eating at Blue Zoo instead, I could use the credits for CA Grill, so the costs all end up being about the same, making that a moo point.

Or I could not eat at Bistro de Paris, and eat at both Blue Zoo and Flying Fish. That's another option.

There's no way I could choose between the two. They are both my Favorites. I'd have to do both.

Can't even offer the location argument.....

Tough choice.....

Maybe the one who can give you the best time for the reservation you want?

Did both four weeks ago, Blue Zoo blew away Flying Fish.

I think Flying Fish is slipping a littlle lately.

Maybe I will do both. I'm playing around with the rest of my ADR list, and trying to figure out what I can move. Maybe do Captain's Grille for lunch instead of dinner, and that would free up a night.

That's not cool at all. I think I would've had to get up and get my own place setting, making sure that the manager knew I did it.

I noticed a bit of a drop in service our last time at FF. Service was good, but not great, which it had been on all of our prior dinners there. Our first few trips to FF were "I can't believe how great our waiter is" great. Last time, I noticed a number of faces I didn't recognize. Our waitress was new there. I forget where she said she'd been before FF. Our two favorite waitpeople, Joe and Terri, are gone. So maybe the DDP is affecting how much the waitstaff is making, and they're leaving. :sad2:

:thumbsup2I totally agree and FF is probably in my favorite 5 all time restaurants in my life! But even in their absolute best days they'd have to have been GREAT to be better than Bluezoo. Bluezoo is THAT good.
