Web cam question

Yes, there is another web cam. Go to Google and type in, "Radisson Resort at the Port cam". It will take you right there and it's one you can control. Generally can only see the top of the Disney as another ship is usually docked sidways in front of the cam but often get a good view of a Carnival ship as well.

Happy viewing.

I'm such a dork, and I don't know how many other people do this as well. On Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I LOVE watching the Port Canaveral webcams so I can watch the Disney ships as they pull out. I just love DCL so much and watching the ships reminds me of my last cruise (which I had the time of my life on!)

who are you calling a dork !!! ;) I watched the ship pull away for the first time this sunday. I woke up dear hubby from his nap showing it to him on the lap top telling him "in a year from now that will be us pulling away" :lmao:

My bad, my friends think I'm a dork for doing such. But I don't care! :thumbsup2 I think to play some Disney music when the ships pull out and when they do, I dance around my room, like I did at the sail-away party.

I think that's awesome waking up your husband to watch the ship pull out from port!! I know if I were married I would do the same thing haha. I keeping thinking I will be on the ship soon for a college graduation cruise - keeping my fingers crossed!!!! :woohoo:

Oh my goodness. I am not alone! There are more like me! I've found the right place....

Sorry, I've only just found these discussion boards lately. I've not booked yet but I"m hopeful we'll be able to sail away on March 05, 2011....still researching though. I've convinced my boyfriend to go with my daughter and I but he has told me to stop talking about it and showing him things online...he's getting Disney burnout a year before we even go. :)

I think watching this Port webcam will become a regular regimen for me as well. How cool!

Is it me, 'cause I can't make out anything but buildings on this webcam....

My name is Marianne and I'm addicted to Disney :cutie:

I'm planning on sailling (our 1st cruise) on the Dream either 1st or 2nd week of March 2011. :goodvibes

A year in advance and I'm already stalking the boards, the port and planning what hotels I will be staying at.

We all  Disney and we are proud of it! It is the best vacation for our family.

Thank you Marianne!
My name is Joanna and I am also addicted to Disney....I don't care to be cured. hehe
I haven't booked yet (waiting for tax return!) so I'm really stalking these boards for info on a cruise I'm "hoping" for. :) It'll be our first cruise too in March 2011...I think the March 05th Western Itinerary on the Magic. My daughter and I love WDW but my boyfriend has never been to WDW and wanted to go to Cuba for an all-inclusive or a cruise....I was like NO, we can compromise. Abby and I will get Disney and he gets a cruise. I'm secretly using this cruise to convince him to vacation with us in WDW next time. ;)

I'm researching hotels too and I really think we're going to AKL for a night or two before the cruise. I want Disney transportation all the way and I've always wanted to see the animals there but wouldn't likely shell out for a whole week at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Also, that'll force him to get a taste of real Disney and he'll want to come back.... I'm sneaky. I'm trying to convert him to a Disney lover but he's banned me from talking anymore about Disney for 2 whole days....he can't take it anymore. LOL.

My first trip to WDW I took my oldest son. I came back  it was truely magical, I told my DH that at the end of the week I was talking with complete strangers, it is truely my happy place. The following year I went with the whole family and my DH fell  too. Even him was talking to stranger, very out of caracter;) The kids loved it too :dance3:

We are getting better at it too. Now we drive to the US (2hr) and fly from there we save over 2000$ that way

The cruise is a new experience for us, 4 day Bahamas on the DREAM :cloud9:

I wish you the best of luck in converting your boyfriend:thumbsup2

BRILLIANT idea! Of course, I'm in rural Nova Scotia, so Bangor is closest and that's quite a haul but it would still save a tonne in flight money I bet. I'll have to look at that. Thanks!
