I was just wondering if anyone knows or read how Tili is doing. Is he still secluded from the other orcas?

From Tili's side, I know he must be stressed out, as animals are very smart and they "know" when something isnt right.:guilty: And he must know one of his trainers is gone. May she rest in peace.

I was thinking the same thing. Any one been lately or know. May Dawn rest in peace.

I was kind of wondering that myself. Animals have feelings too. I just watched the first show after video and found myself thinking the whales must be wondering why the trainers are standing so far away and why aren't they interacting the way they usually do. I felt bad for the whales, well and all the sad, tearful people watching too. It was touching to see the first show, even if from my monitor.

I always wanted to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World myself, but it just didn't happen for this Indiana girl. :(

I too agree Dawn definitely went out doing what she loved...

i'm planning on heading out there wens, i'll ask a few people I know.

(I hope I remember to, I always forget to do things)

Thanks. it would be good to know, how things are there. Love to Dawns family and all the staff and friends of hers at Seaworld. must be a very very tough time for all concerned.

i hope he isnt stressed out and is swimming with the other orcas. I think about him and the other orcas alot. He was the one who did all the BIG SPLASHES at the end of the shows....(if I heard correctly) and I know they arent going to bring him to do those things from what I have read. But surely the trainers are still interacting with Tili right? I just cant help but to worry about the big guy. Maybe we will get an update soon!

Hopefully someone can find out & let us know as a side note you seem like a really compassionate guy :thumbsup2 nice to see

I am sure that he is being well taken care of, even though he may be wondering where Dawn is, for two reasons:

1) He is a very valuable animal to SeaWorld for his value as a stud. They will make sure he is healthy and happy because of that.

2) You can clearly see how much Dawn cared for him in the photos and videos, and I suspect the other trainers feel the same way. They know what he did was not his fault, and I'm sure they would never advocate keeping him in a way that would be cruel (i.e. isolation) and that they will interact with him (carefully!) to make sure he still has human companionship even tho' Dawn is gone.

ANimals are smart. I'm sure he does know that Dawn is no longer around. Animals go through mourning too. It's just sometimes less obvious to us because we aren't animals.

Hoping from an update from the person who was going to Seaworld today...

RIP Dawn.

Exactly!

with respect to my friend i will keep their name confidental. He is a worker in SWF as an A/C specialist in the Orca stadium.

"Tillikum is doing very well, they are deciding if this week they should begin putting him in shows, he has been with Taima and Malia on and off. But the trainers are working on different ways to handle him. They still give him love, he still gets toys and of course proper feedings, however they changed the reward system a bit along with behavior modification. Tilly was observed for 3 days after the incident and the trainers have gone through a weeks worth of logs to see if anything was awkward leading up to the indicent. So in short he's okay, eating well and acting like his lazy self again."

Im always worred about the big guy, My friend called me 15 minutes after it happened. Dawn was a real sweetheart she loved what she did and her parents respected her choices. They all knew this could be a dangerous outcome of the job but supported her no matter what.
