Can anyone please tell me the approximate sq footage of the bigger cat 3's midship?

Hello,

On the Disney website they state that the Sq Footage of their Cat 3s ate 614 sq ft. However, I know that the Mid Ship Cat 3s are slightly larger but I would like to know if there is a noticeable difference?

Thanks, Charles:goodvibes

Sorry the Disbaords are slow at this time.

To add to my photo above.

There are four Midship Cat 3's, they are longer, ie aft>forward direction, and slightly narrower, walkway to Verandah direction.

They have a triple wide verandah, whereas the other ( non midship) Cat 3;s have a double.

The floor plan represents 8032, the others such as 8034, may have a reversed, layout.

Great floor plan Andrew. One small correction though, there are not sinks in the vanity area outside of the master bathroom. :)

Wonder why that got wet!!!!;)

Actually that is the exact location where our air conditioning broke down and we did have water there pouring through from the ceiling, but you are correct.

Do you know 8532, is it the same or reversed???? (Assume reversed).

Well I guess you all did have your "own" version of one of those 'falling water" style sinks.

8532 is the the suite we have been in the most. It is reversed since it is on the other side of the ship. After staying in a regular Cat. 3 this summer (port upgrade), I appreciate the midship Cat. 3 even more. :cloud9: The layout and size difference is amazing. It was just me and my 3 girls, IMO, it would have been a bit cramped if my DH would have been with us.

Yes we had our own waterfall.

My layout map has been corrected.

I have 8532 for 12 nights in July. :thumbsup2

Hi Again,

Thank you for your picture. I, too, will be in 8532on my Disney WOnder Cruise Sep 2010. But how much bigger is it than a regular Cat 3?

25% more? 30% more? Would anyone know the sq footage if the regular Cat 3s are 614 sq ft?:confused3

Thanks, Charles

Charles, haven't measured it, but, a normal CAT 3, is like two x Cat 4, ie a double veranda, the midship Cat 3, has a triple veranda, but you loose part of the front of the room, ie corridor side, as the midship elevators are there. So you gain and loose a bit. If you look at a deck plan for deck 8, you will get a comparison and an idea, for what you loose and what you gain.

Awesome! It will be a wonderful way to relax after the long Baltic port days. :cloud9:

Not sure of the sq footage but I agree with Andrew's description quoted above. From my personal experience, the regular Cat. 3 are narrower, furnishings in the living area pushed closer together... leading to the murphy bed being in the master bedroom. The midship Cat. 3 living area is wider and more open, furnishings not so close together with room for murphy bed next to wet bar.
