If you have been cruising these past few weeks, can you please comment on the weather and how it affected your trip. I am bummed that it might be too cool to use the pools or to lay in the sun.....

We were on the Wonder for the 3 day to Nassau and CC on 2-18 (just a week ago!). Nassau seemed warm while we were walking, but when we went to Cable Beach it was a little chilly--although that didn't prevent DD10 from going in the ocean. CC the next day (last Saturday) was GORGEOUS! It was in the high 70s and maybe even in the low 80s. Clear blue sky, just perfect.

We went in the pools and hot tubs on Friday and Saturday. The pools were surprisingly warm, really warm. If we'd realized that on Thursday, we would have tried them sooner. The hot tubs are great, too...hope you can sneak away to the Quiet Cover. DD10 commented that at the Goofy pool, one hot tub was really hot and the other felt like pool water. So, if one is not hot enough for you, try the other!

Thank you for asking this. I've been so worried. We leave on our WC cruise on 3/6 and I was so looking forward to a warm cruise. For those who have been there in the last 2 weeks or so, should I be packing shorts and short sleeves, or pants and sweatshirts? Probably a little bit of both. It looks like it is raining pretty much every day, but is it still warm and humid, or cold? (I'm from Southern CA, so I am now officially a wimp when it comes to cold weather, although I grew up in the Midwest.)

It is COLD and rainy today--cold as in we are not going outside (48 degrees):surfweb: wow we are soft down here!! But the weather changes hour to hour...I am bring jackets for night time on the ship and capri pants for walking in nassau.

Orlando Momma, where are you right now?

I am making the assumption you live in Florida. So, I would say that the beach at CC may be a bit cool for you this time of year.

We live in the north. Having said that, we found the beach to be nice on our March cruise a few years back.

The only time we have taken jackets was on the eastbound transatlantic cruise. It was a bit chilly up on deck.
We will take them also when we do the Alaska next year, but that is a different situation.

Just off the 2/20/10 cruise.

Unexpected stop at Nassau (we had to skip Grand Cayman) - it was WINDY and COLD! But sunny. No swimming for us thankfully. It would have been a waste of money since it was so cool.

Castaway Cay - to me it was too cold to swim. I came off of the wave runners and was freezing. Granted I did go at 10am but that whole day felt real cold to me. I didn't swim the rest of the day and kept covered up with a towel because I was cold.

We did the 4 night Wonder from 2/14-2/18. The weather was poor, which really made for a bummer trip. You spend months looking forward to getting out of the cold and being warm, and then it doesn't happen. Our daughter had a good time (kids always do), but I was always in long sleeves and pants. The Pirate party was cold, CC was rainy and cold. It was so bad at CC that all of the excursions were canceled. Our day in Nassau though was very nice. It's just really hit or miss this year unfortunately.
