Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Morning, friends :goodvibes

We're on our way out of town for a dance competition/ fun weekend. We're having lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Riverwalk, then we're riding the barges down the river. A little shopping, a little Mexican food for dinner... Then a full dance of dancing followed by an after party Saturday night. :yay:

See you all Sunday when I'll be in my single digit countdown and in full Disney planning mode! pirate:

Thanks for the link! I managed to *ahem* hack the house's wifi to get us internet access. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Truly, we called the owner, he couldn't remember the password and he's advertising the wi-fi now, so he was going to get someone to come out. I just reset the password, I'll give it to him, and he doesn't need to pay anyone. :thumbsup2

Of course, that's after I didn't bring my computer, because there was no connection here.

The men and boys are skiing now. We women and girls are going later. We did ski Mon/Tues, took Wed. off (the men went) and then went all day yesterday. It's been fun, but we came down in the middle of a horrible bout of weather late yesterday afternoon - stinging sleet at the top of the mountain, pouring rain at the bottom... Not exactly ideal ski weather. :sad2: It's snowing now here at the house, but we're about 45 minutes away and lower - so I do hope that means that it will be snowing on the mountain today.

It's our last night in the house - tomorrow we will get up, pack up, and then ski and leave for home from the mountain. It's really been fun, though, as always, trying to herd 12 people isn't always easy. :rolleyes1

I only read the last page or so of the last thread - sorry about the weather, Janet, Lorrie, and Mo. We're only supposed to get an inch or so, and now we're in Maine! Sigh.

Miss you all - just thought I'd take a moment whilst I'm doing laundry and Deb's napping to say hi. The third mom isn't skiing at all today, and it's her birthday - haven't seen her yet this morning. ;)

Have a great weekend, everyone! We'll be back home around 9:00ish tomorrow night, but I doubt I'll be on the computer much for the rest of the weekend. :grouphug:

I'm glad you're having fun, CE. After watching all the skiing on the Olympics, I think I want to try, and then I remember the weather. :rolleyes1 I did try once, and it didn't go well, but that was a long time ago.;)

Checking in on the new thread!

Wrote my last mid-term this morning, it was pretty easy! Now I just need to go to one more class and I am on break!

Hi CE :wave2: Glad you are having a good time.

Checking in on the new thread!

Wrote my last mid-term this morning, it was pretty easy! Now I just need to go to one more class and I am on break!

Hi Lessa

Let's see what I remember from the last thread since I can't quote from there..

Hi Kristel :wave2:

Hey Kat - You guys are getting this one worse than we did. I heard about a fire or something in Brooklyn. ARe you guys okay?

Mel - I'd be demanding a lot more than my money back:mad: Glad Gus is okay:hug:

Angela - Glad they found out what was wrong with your mom. 2 days in the ER:scared1: Which hospital was this?

Just saying Hi. I love watching the skiing on the Olympics also but will never get on them again. I fell off of the ski tow when I was a teen and sprained both of my ankles. I never even made it up the mountain. That was enough for me. :lmao:
Lessa enjoy your break. I wanted to start my paper this weekend and the professor pulled the requirements.

I hate the snow it all drifted to my car. Thery are calling for more next week. My grandkids are off and driving me crazy. I read that the school district is taking away 2 spring break days, 2 other days that the kids were off and adding time to the end of the year. I am so glad I scheduled my trip for the end of April.

Any body who read my 1/2 post thank my granddaughter. She has learned to hit buttons and submitted my post then turned off the computer. Three hours and I can go home.

As for me, I am at work and the boys are home. The weather stinks and they closed school...repeat. Yep, that pretty much sums my life right now. :sad2:

Not much really going on. We were supposed to go to a camp open house tomorrow but they cancelled it til next month. They want to see what the schools are doing in way of making up days before they schedule stuff.

Scouts tonight, but not sure if they are going to have it or not:confused3

Other than that notthing planned for the weekend.

Hope you all have a good one!

Have a great break! :goodvibes

Methodist Germantown. I know there are several in Memphis, and I think they are national as well. My mother says there were so many people because "they know they can be seen for free". Not sure who they are, but my mother may have a little problem with stereotyping. :sad2:

:rotfl2: That happened to someone I follow on Twitter.

Are you going to leave work early? I know if I'm complaining about the weather, you all really are. We were going to Disney tomorrow, but the forecast is 55 and rain.

'Morning All.

It's been a while, so I thought I'd say "HOLLA!" ;) and if you ordered cookies, they are going out TODAY! :cool1: I'm sending them all 2 day priority, so you should have them by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. Yummy! If you ordered the Thank You Berry Munch, you are in for some yummy goodness! :cloud9: We've already eaten 4 boxes of those in 1 week! :faint:

My teeth are killing me and I have a horrific head cold! The good news is, I'm almost done with my braces!!! :woohoo: Should have them off in the summer!!!

Have a great Friday! And for those traveling and those hunkering down for the storms, stay safe! :thumbsup2

Adios amigas! :hippie:

Nope, noearly dismissal for us. I will leave at 4:00, since I cam ein early though

Would have been enough for me too:eek:

Do the kids go to public school? They are taking Monday and Tuesday of Spring Break, Election Day and adding 1 day to the end so far. That is if the Dept or Ed doesn't give them the waiver they asked for. If not - for these 2 days they will probably add 2 more to the end! Jimmy won't be going those two days!

My grandaughter goes to public school and my grandson is in Special Needs preschool. The article I read was in yesterday's Daily News. It did mention the waiver but I don't think that will be happening from the sounds of it. They are also taking back one of the teacher development days according to the article. I remember the kids going until June 30th one year because of the snow. It may have been in '96. I liked it better when they padded the school year a little with snow days and let the kids out early if they didn't use them. My granddaughter's school has no air conditioning so that building is going to get hot fast.

I have been planning this trip for 5 years since my granddaughter was born. I can't wait. Have a good afternoon all.
I hope they can all go, how old are your grandkids?

Jo - :rotfl2: at the Kat
Wrong Cat Janet :rotfl2:

Sounds so cute - but only in your home. :lmao:
I know you want her really :rotfl:

Apparently I'm in the bullseye for this storm, around to 2 feet by the time it ends Friday/Sat. WHile most areas don't have it sticking to the roads, it was cold enough here to be sticking since this morning, go a few miles away and it's only sticking to grass. I got over half a foot already on the road outside my house. UGH!!!!!!
How is it today?

Now pay attention- don’t ignore me, OK?
I won't, promise :rotfl2: and fingers crossed with Dougs meds :thumbsup2

Kc is working on his resume because he may have a new job lined up, with more money, less hours and full benefits ! We shall see if it pans out.
Good luck KC :thumbsup2

Hey we are on page 252???? who's starting a new thread????
Where's V been???

He got the wind knocked out of him and just laid there for a few secs to catch his breath. The instructor never came to see if he was ok, and WORSE he took the rest of the lesson down the hill and left my son on a trail ALONE! Poor Gus was scared!
He said he wasn't sure how to get back down to me or which paths were safe for a novice so he walked!
Man, I was furious!!!!!!! I demanded our $ back for the lesson!
Wth was that guy thinking!?! He could have been hurt! As you can imagine, that pretty much did him in for the night. Poor guy.
No way, OMG what are the school doing about it?

Because my grandmother is 97, living alone, and my mother needs to rest!
I didn't realise she was that old, she's doing well that she hasn't needed care up until now! Hope your Mom gets better soon

We're on our way out of town for a dance competition/ fun weekend.
Have fun and hope the girls do well :goodvibes

Wooohoooo!

My teeth are killing me and I have a horrific head cold! The good news is, I'm almost done with my braces!!! :woohoo: Should have them off in the summer!!!
Fantastic :woohoo:

I'm slightly windswept, OMG I played golf today and I could hardly stand up straight as the wind was so strong. Even worse as the ground was wet they banned trolley's so I had to carry my clubs :faint: So I now ache :rotfl2:

Do they allow the remote controlled ones? Waldo's golf partner has one and I swear he puts that thing in the lake at least once a month! :rotfl2:

You know I wasn't even paying attention to the page count on our last thread.

Checking in on the new thread!

You deserve it!!

I talked to Scott last night. He said it was bad. Looks like we are going to get missed by the next one. At least that is what they are saying at the moment.

YAY! on the braces! Sorry about the cold.

I'm slightly windswept, OMG I played golf today and I could hardly stand up straight as the wind was so strong. Even worse as the ground was wet they banned trolley's so I had to carry my clubs :faint: So I now ache :rotfl2:
OMG, I can just see you looking like the tin man from "The Wizard of Oz"-swaying side to side with your feet planted in one spot!...... 'If I could only find my ball!'

KAT-Good luck to KC and the job prospect. I'm sorry the weather is bad. It has to end, right? Hey, that convention sounds like a cool one. Take some pics.

Hi TAZ!!! Sorry I made you hungry for roast.

Hi ANGELA, how's the weather down there? Your mom does need a break now. I hope you find something for your grandma.

Hey to everyone else!!!

The roast for tomorrow is slow-cooking. Now I need to start the pie and vegies that are for tonight. New recipes! Wish me luck!

well the snow seems to have finally stopped.:yay:

though I hear there is another one brewing for next week:sad1:

I need to try and get out tomorrow, something's wrong with Rocky, drinking ALOT and going to the bathroom ALOT, I am giving him small doses of water and monitoring. Vet's office never opened today and I didn't want to go to the emergency vet, even if I could get there. he was going for his annual next Thursday so I will move it up to tomorrow and combine a visit.

No other symptoms, everything else seems normal

so I worked from home today, can you beleive they only had a delayed opening, instead of closing the campus. morons. I doubt anyone went in.

still need to do a few things but needed a break

later
