Booking with dreams unlimited...

Ya know, I have a little bit. I just booked my cruise earlier this week, but it seemed like there was a really slow turn around on contact. I got my confirmation email saying my deposit was recieved, but nothing since then. It said I was being assigned a personal vacation planner, but have yet to hear from anyone, and that was 2 days ago. I mean, my cruise isn't for another year, so I guess there is no rush. I was just suprised at the slow turn around, I guess. Who knows though, I am sure with people getting their tax refunds and stuff, it is probably super busy.

Since we have been told to stick to the subject, I'll simply answer the question asked.

Yes.

I have used them 2 times and both times were exellent. Last time I booked was about 18 months ago for my cruise last November. I had to change the date etc and they were fine.

I have only used dreams unlimited once and they were great. I booked prior to the kids sail free offer and they applied that to my account, saving me $1800! Plus, I was a bit particular about where my room was and the woman working with me was very accomodating. Hope you experience improves.

I tried to use them because I like John but they couldn't get me the cruise/price I wanted last year when another online agency got me 2 cabins easily( not a group rate):confused3 Dreams just said nothing available, they did'nt even try to work with me.

We have used them for cruise and WDW reservations and using them again for our upcoming Panama Canal cruise. We have been very happy with their service. I have no problem in recommending them :thumbsup2

I've used them twice - for cruise last Sept. and for upcoming Med. cruise in April and have had nothing but great service! :thumbsup2

Big benefit for us and why we used DU v. DCL - the added OBC from DU. :goodvibes

Two years ago we used small world vacations and they were phenomenal. I was going to call them again but DU is all over the boards here so I was reconsidering. Not even sure if SMV does cruises. Not to steal the thread, but has anyone used SWV and if so, how was it?

The same with us.....we booked about 5 days ago and received an email saying that we were being assigned a PVP and it would take about 24 hrs.... we have heard nothing yet. Now, were are not cruising until 8/12/2011 so there really is no rush, but when they say that we should here from them in 24 hrs and don't here from them, I am beginning to wonder why..... :confused3

Personally i"ve used DU now twice- now I'm using them for my WDW and DCL trip. No probs ever. My TA responds to my e-mails right away- weekends, nights, etc. My past ones have done the same:)

Is there any benefit to transfer the current reservation I have with DSL to Dreams?

I looked into Dreams last year and didnt hear back in a timely manner so I moved on. I dont like that there is no phone number. I had another agency take my cruise over and they were great and I got a very nice on board credit.

DU is "all over the boards" because DU pays to be a sponsor of the boards. Webmaster John has always been professional in his dealings with my booking, however, the agents did not respond promptly.

SWV does cruises...if you had a good experience with them before, it should take a good reason to change.

There are many agencies that have 800 numbers and are willing to talk with you before, during, and after your booking as well as giving an onboard credit or other "thanks for booking" gift. Find one that works the way YOU want to work.

Travelocity is the same price as any other agent--DCL does not permit agencies to discount the price of a cruise. They can give clients a gift as above.

I thought DU owned the DIS or they were all the same company? I thought I heard that on the podcast, I love there podcast!

We've used them 2x and both times have been impressed with the agents we worked with.

:thumbsup2 Thumbs up for both DU and SWV! I have used DU since 2003 for WDW vacations. I have one TA that I always request and she is excellent! I have used SWV since 2008 for booking my DCL cruises. Again, my TA is wonderful!

The difference that I see between the two companies is that DU requires you to fill out the request paperwork first...get a quote...pay a deposit...and then get a TA assignment. SWV goes through that process for the first cruise or vacation, but once you have been assigned or worked with a TA...you can contact that TA directly and they will book whatever for you. In my opinion SWV is faster, but that's just because I am already a client and their process is simplified. I still will book with DU because I also like working with my TA over there.

Not sure if this helps any???:confused3
