I should know this by now... Is there anything you CAN"T charge to your KTTW card? :confused3 This is our 1st mod stay and, with the higher charge limit, I look forward to avoiding cash...

Certain locations around Walt Disney World (select carts and some third party vendors, such as McDonalds) do not participate with Guest ID room charging. Aside from that, nothing that I can think of.

The crepe stand in France is cash only. The funnel cake stand in America used to not take them, I don't know if they still do that. Some places at DTD, I don't remember which ones.

The card machines in lots of the stands will be broken from time to time and while they would take the KTTW, they can't.

If the KTTW card was accepted everywhere and if the machines weren't breaking down, it would be easy to skip cash. I always take some, though.

I thought for sure I'd used a DP snack credit at the crepe stand, which would mean you could charge to your KTTW card. This would have been in September 2008. Had I already had too much of my Grey Goose slushie to remember correctly or have they changed to cash only?:confused3

In addition to the places previously mentioned, the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin do not accept the KTTW card, but the gift shops there do.

I never carry cash in the parks and I've never run into anything that I couldn't purchase with a card.

If I use my Disney Visa as my card on hold, will the charges through KTTW receive the 10% discount?

With the exception of Mickey's Groove in Downtown Disney West Side, your KTTW card can not be used at all the other stores over there because they are not owned and operated by Walt Disney World.

I don't believe so. You could try showing them your Disney Visa card, but asking if you can charge it to your KTTW card. They might allow it. But then you'd still have to carry your Disney Visa with you.

I don't do the dining plans and have no idea if they accept that.

But the stand was cash only in September of 2008. No charges to KTTW cards, no credit cards.

They might take the dining plan. I don't know.

I just checked the wdwinfo dining section and they don't accept the dining plan. Any place that accepts the dining plan will also accept charging to the KTTW card because they use the same machine to process the payment. Must have been the slushie... :drinking: :rolleyes1

Note to self: Don't listen to Maggie'sMom. She's a drunk.

;)

I believe that as long as you give the front desk your credit card number you can charge anything to your KTTW card.

Walk-around vendors, for example, the person selling balloons on Main St, don't have a card reader, and thus can't accept KTTW cards as payment.
