A wedding, two first timers, and 3000 photos! New update 9/12

Just in case there are any questions before I begin using my photo pass photos

So we all head to bed at about 1:30 with the promise of a magical call the next morning. I of course don’t seem to really sleep and by 5:30 am ready to go see Mickey. Josh, for some reason wasn’t ready to get up yet. So I lay there for another 15 minutes, and woke him up again. He suggested that I go see Andrea, so I ran across to her and John’s room, jumped on the bed and informed them it was time to get up, as Mickey waits for no one! Andrea was of course a bit confused as to why the phone hadn’t rung……. I didn’t tell her it was because technically she could still be sleeping. She had a few not so nice words for Josh for sending me in to see her, but I digress.
Everyone got showered, dressed and ready to head out. I packed the park bag with all the essentials (mushed penny book, night ears, change for pennies, a bottle of water, and my pins) and we were all ready to go! I insisted that Josh have a first time visitor’s button, and of course I needed to put it on him like we were going to prom, so I could get a picture!!!

Out the door we go! Holy cow was it could though! I had left Maine for this!!!!!! There was frost on the plants, and I could see my breath! Ok now that I am done whining…….

Our first bus ride of the trip was extra magical. The bus driver was chatting with us as we were the only ones on the bus, he found out we were getting married and gave Josh some advice. He told him never go to bed angry, and he needs to learn to say, “yes dear” the bus driver also noticed I wasn’t wearing my ring (I had them soldered together before we left) and gave Josh a gigantic plastic ring for me to have. He then dropped us off on the curb, rather than making us walk from the bus stop. This was the first of many amazing cast members we met on our trip.
We scrambled by the gates to the Magic Kingdom, where people were already starting to line up to get in, and over to the monorail. We were on our way to Chef Mickey, where there are surprises in store! We had the whole day to spend at Magic Kingdom, but first I needed to show Josh the amazingness of a Mickey waffle.

We arrive at Chef Mickey and take our place in line for the plate picture ( has anyone really ever seen one of these that looks good?) as we unload all our pins, sweatshirts, bags ect, the game of how do we take these pictures begins. We decide for this one we will all pose together! After we are finished with our picture we are taken over to our seats (on the left as you walk in).
As soon as we are seated my surprise for the boys arrives!!!!!

I had called Disney Florist to set this up. I got both the guys the Children’s ears to you package, with adult ears LOL. The stuff that came in the adult ears to you was boring! These first timers needed autograph books, pens, and snacks! You know the good stuff!!

So here is our first ears picture!

Our server comes over and introduces herself, she like us, is from MAINE!!!!! She saw on your ADRs that Andrea had noted we were here for our wedding, so we got a totally cool cupcake.

Coming up: She can’t get married, she looks like she is 12, and Why is it still Christmas in January

Great pictures! You're the cutest couple! I'm very impressed with Josh wearing his ears. We'll be honeymooning in Disney next summer and I've already been informed that Kyle will NOT be wearing ears or pins! We'll see :rolleyes1

Love the pics and the update! Thanks for sharing with us

Thank you!

You can get him to wear ears, once they are there there is something in the air (or maybe the food?) that makes everyone be in the mood for fun!
Stay tuned there are some great photos of Josh in many sets of ears, including ones that I never thought he would wear!

:cheer2: ok the big sister and master of surprises, that was cute by the way munchkin, is present, the trip report may continue. To all who read her trip report: I have always called my sister munchkin, my boyfriends eyes really are open just kind of squinty looking  and we had the funniest craziest trip ever with almost fights, laughs, tears, tons of food and lots of love so stay tuned

Looks like a fun ride, I'm on board!

Congrats on your very magical Disney wedding (I'm Sure!):bride:

I like your trip report!!!! Maybe I'll have to find a guy to pretend we just got hitched so we get super nice treatment, like CURBSIDE DROP OFF!!!! Hello, those bus stops are so far away!

So we don’t even have time for our first trip to the food, because here comes Goofy!!!
IMG_0018.jpg

I was very excited as this was Josh’s first character interaction! We started his brand new autograph book( we being me, he was a little creeped out at first by characters) and Goofy slid in right next to us for a nice photo.
Coming up right behind him was Donald. He was unimpressed with Josh’s new ears though.

And a lovely photo with Andrea and John

Now here was the big moment, Mickey himself was coming up, right behind us. I was so excited I could have burst. Mickey was very sweet. Andrea made sure to congratulate him on his finishing the marathon, as he was wearing his metal. He was very excited that she had noticed.

We didn’t have time to even thing about hitting the buffet between any of the characters. We had arrived early, and they had been able to get us in without a wait at all. This means that we were able to see everyone, eat and be done in less than an hour. I don’t think we could have planned that any better.

Anyway after Meeting the big cheese, Josh was really warming up to the characters!
I even got him to get up and greet Pluto!
IMG_0023.jpg

I love the way that Pluto signs books, on his nose and all. He even gave ours a kiss!

Next came the leading lady, I decided to shake things up a bit, and have a girls only picture!

This is also the first time that Minnie made a move on my man. Several time during the trip she asked him to marry her.
IMG_0026.jpg

As Minnie departed we were all about starving! I was excited to hit the buffet line, and headed over with everyone. As we were getting our plates (mine loaded with breakfast pizza YUM, I have no idea why it is that I am so crazy about it, but I can’t seem to find one that comes close to it at home!) the woman behind us started chatting with Andrea. She asked us what we were celebrating, and Andrea explained that Josh and I were there to get married. She look at my sister and exclaimed rather loudly “She can’t get married, she looks like she is 12.” I walked away to leave Andrea to clean that mess up. I went and found myself a few strips of bacon, man do I love me some pig!

We got back to the table and I made it clear that I would be taking photos of food. Here is Josh with his very first Mickey waffle!

IMG_0027.jpg

We went with the dinning plan this trip, but chose not to use a credit on this breakfast. It worked out to be much better to do this one out of pocket, and save those credits for the yummy things to come!
I must say I was very disappointed in the coffee that morning. It was very watery, and didn’t have much flavor. I would rather have really bad coffee, than really weak coffee!!! The characters were ok, nothing too great, and they came really close together, so it almost felt like we had to be getting ready to greet the next one, before the one we were greeting left!

Coming up: our first day in Magic Kingdom: why is it still Christmas in January, and the quest to buy kitchen items begins!

I'm inspired to meet the characters on my next trip. I've only met a few in my lifetime, but never Mickey or Minnie!

Sooooo...who is this certain somebody who will help me out in getting curbside drop off?
