Called yesterday to do some up date on my res, and the guy told me how many times I had been on the wed site and the dates I entered and what I was looking at.
And that I was taking my daughter with us in fall. I had asked them not to tracking me when I was on the web site. He told me they have been doing this for a while now. SO I said STOP doing it. He didn't know how to stop it.

This is nuts. I know this has happen to one other person.

So when you calling about stuff, ask the CM if they know what part of the sites (resorts, dates,family members)you been to. Or listen to what CM says about the last time you been to WDW- it will be slipped in to the conversation. Thought you should know.

Yes - I got something in the mail last month that said "So you've been thinking about a stay at the Grand Floridian" or something like that b/c I'd been playing with dates on the site

I was just going to post that I was having trouble getting to the Disney site!! Maybe they are releasing a new promo!! I wish right!! Hopefully they are sending out mass pin codes!! In a dreamers world eh?!

You are probably being tracked at every web site you visit. It's amazing the stuff any web site can gather from you. If you don't want it, then you need to get off the internet entirely. Although I think web sites consider it Marketing and not Stalking. And figuring when you signed up for a Disney account you agreed to it, as any web site you register with.

That is crazy!! I hope they have fun watching all the times I visit the website, re-price etc. They should have more important things to do rather than stalk people!

I don't understand the problem. It's Disney's website. You don't think they have the right to track which I.P. addresses visit the different parts of their website? If you go into a department store, do you demand they turn off their security cameras so they can't see where you go?

Someone I know told me they were having a problem getting in to the Disney site, and so they downloaded Firefox onto their computer, as their web browser, and now they can get in to the site. Hope this helps.

I wish the CM let on that they had all my information then I would not have had to spell out all our names, ages and all that stuff I wish she would have just pulled the screen from our last reservation! Doesn't bother me. I don't actually log in a lot of time though when I am looking at stuff.
