I know a few people are going in to see this today since I've seen the posts :) How did you like it??

I'm super excited for it, being in the music industry myself so of course being a HUGE MJ fan and also since I was only like 1 or 2 when it came out the first time so I never got to experience it.

Hope everyone who got to see it today enjoyed it!! :woohoo:

DH and I went to the Park last night after work to wander around for a few hours. We stopped by Captain EO to see if they were having a soft opening because (contrary to the much-subscribed-to-"locals theory"), DH and I have no desire or time to spend hours in line to see it so we thought we'd see if we they were showing it last night. No such luck. The CMs in front were answering general questions and said they were not doing a soft opening.

I took the following pictures of the outside.

I found it interesting that the logo has the word "tribute" added to it.

Can't say I haven't done that multiple times (slept outside a venue for a concert) but not for this lol. I guess it is a thing sometimes to say "i saw it first!" lol idk. I'm really hoping they still have it in October because I don't want to miss it!

I wonder if this is the show I saw in the 80's with the "thriller" video...gave me nightmares for YEARS...

Word around town (aka 'net) is there were some people already lined up around 4am. ROFL, no thanks.

We are in town visiting DL and staying at the DLH, they offered hotel guests a sneek preview this morning. 8am - 9am for hotel guest only. We got inline about 7:40am and there was probably only about 50 guest ahead of us. In the VIP line, where the press was and where CM said people stayed the night, there was maybe just around 50 to 75 people.

We were let in promptly at 8am and walked to Captian EO. We were the first ones in there and only about 50 or so people for the first show. Unfortunately for the CM there, we weren't an enthusiastic crowd.

Nothing else was open between 8am and 9am (when Magic morning started). They did have some Captain EO merch. for sale, but nothing to knock your socks off like the Alice stuff. DH and DD did not want to see it again, so we watched the lack of the crowds.

by 10:30am the crowds did grow.

Nope, no dancing zombies in EO! Though I do remember (when my family would go to the Park in the 80s ) my little sister shrieking in horror whenever the "evil alien queen" (can't recall her name right now) character was onscreen...

Hmmm, wonder where I saw them then, oh well...all I remember is watching a huge movie screen and this large group of people in shiny silver, hands up like claws and marching in place...assume it was thriller...lol...strange the things we remember.

I just YouTubed Captain EO and the dance sequence is pretty similar to the Thriller sequence, just different costumes lol. That might be what you're thinking of. The full video is on YouTube.
