Any flexibility on Bouncebacks -- didn't book while there!

My big mistake -- I didn't call to book when I was there. I figured Disney is such a marketing wiz, surely they'd offer me something when I retn'd home. Well...home three days and nothing. Did I blow it? Will anything be forthcoming or should I get on the phone and plead ignorance? Surprised if they wouldn't take my $$ now, versus not at all.

I know I could go ahead and initiate the call. I just can't deal with all the phone prompts tonight.

Thanks, as ever.

After reading many posts here regarding the same situation...I have read a few have been sucessful, but the majority have not. Honestly, no way to know for sure until you call. I wish you luck! :wizard:

Try sending an email to Guest Relations rather than calling as the CM on the general phone line do not normally deal with booking bouncebacks. Seems people have had better success with that. Keep in mind that it may take about 10-14 days to hear from them one way or another.

No you can't once you leave Disney & get home you can not book under the bounceback.. Try if you want to but.. My best friend was there in December & forgot to book the bounce back offer. She called the next day when she got home & talked to a CM's supervisor & was told no sorry. She even email & wrote & still samer answer no.
I know I booked one in Sepr 2009 & another one in Dec 2009( CM told me to book it now as I might forget & then I would be out of luck). I called while I was there to cancel the one I had for Sept & was told once I cancel it was gone for good.

Try it if you want but it up to you as it will make you feel better :)

Sorry you may be out of luck. The point of the bounceback offer is to get you to book and pay a deposit for your next vacation BEFORE you checkout to go home. Most people have not been successful trying this after they got home. You can try to call, but I would not expect anything and be surprised and grateful if they do:goodvibes

This is the answer.

While it may seem petty or unfair.. the point of the bounceback offer is to get you to commit to a return while you are there. And the terms explicitly state it must be booked while you are there.

Have people been given exceptions? Yup.

Lots of people? Not really, more like precious few.

You may succeed in one way or another.. but Disney may as well have called 2010 "Year of a Million Discounts" ;) --- if you didn't get a PIN or don't like the current public offer - sit tight - there will be more as the year goes on.

How much is the deposit for bounceback? Also, how far into the next year does BB go? For example, if I go in April, can I BB for the following April?

The deposit for a bounceback is $200 if you book it as a package or the amount of one night stay if you book a room only. Not sure about the specific dates.

How much of a deposit and how long the bounceback dates are DEPENDS on what the offer is at that time. Sometimes it is only a % off a resort rate, sometimes free dining. The dates it includes are written on the offer. If it is a resort rate and you are not booking a pkg, the deposit is equal to one nights stay.If it is a pkg it is a $200 deposit.

Additionally, different categories have different dates. On our last trip, you could book a bounceback through the end of the year for all hotels, but only through September on the DVC villas.

In August of 09, the bounceback was for free dining a year away.
